Zerorez-Sonoma

We used Zerorex from Santa Rosa and enjoyed very good service. The carpet (20+ years old, but very good quality) came out spotless. The techs were very professional and helpful. The quote I was given was honored. All in all I was very happy. The only comment, and this is not a huge negative, is that I was told the carpet would be dry within 4 – 6 hours. In a few areas (and only a few), it was damp for about 18 hours. We turned on the heat & stayed away from the damp spots and stayed in clean socks the day of the cleaning …

Ethan was great we needed the service and they called before he came and was very explanatory his college Matt seemed to be helpful and they got done quickly. The result was great lots came out stain wise. I would recommend this company to the environmentally conscious clients. No smell and helpful staff

OMG!!! Please… believe this review! We used this Zerorez and not a single spot came out of our carpets! We had used Zerorez when they first came onto the scene and it must have been another company somewhere in the Bay area because the outcome was completely different. That cleaning gave everything their ads proposed… carpets perfect, quick drying, and the fluffiest feel imaginable. We were sold! One year later… enter Santa Rosa Zerorez… slow drying (used too much water?), then when it was all dry, every one of the spots were still there and there was no soft fluffy feeling. What did they do anyway? I gave them a chance to redo, although I told them if they felt they could not have a better outcome we would not want to do it again. Did not hear from them. That pretty much tells the story.

** I posted this review November 5, 2015 and today got an email from Unilocal that it was removed because they thought I used a different Zerorez location. This posting is in the right place. This is the Zerorez we used!
Made an appointment to have our bedroom carpet cleaned and the tile grout cleaned and sealed in the master bathroom. We moved all the furniture out the bedroom. They arrived and set up. My husband asked them to be careful not to spray onto the new cabinets in the bathroom. They sprayed liquid all over the tile and the cabinets!!! And then… the announced their machine was broken. They packed up and left. We cleaned our new cabinets. We are sleeping on the sofa and having another company come tomorrow. Not impressed at all.

Carpet in one room not cleaned well at all. Looks like not at all. Called for recleaning (this was 3 months ago) but after many more calls, they still haven’t shown up. Charged us more than ad plus a $ 35 disposal fee and $ 65 each to clean 4 pieces of furniture. Took forever to dry. They don’t call us back when we leave a message. Poor, poor service.

Ugh. Yet another carpet cleaner with lots of promises not a lot of truth to their claims. We had Zerorez out yesterday to clean one large room’s carpet and several area rugs. After letting the floors dry for 24hrs, not walking on them, and keeping the pets outside for the whole day, I found a new small spot, half the size of a dime, on what looked like freshly cleaned carpets, so I took a clean white wash cloth to the area and found that not only was that spot dirty, but the entire rug was still filthy! Similar to a white glove test, if you take a white wash cloth to the carpet or rug with a minimum of carpet cleaner (I use Nature’s Miracle) and wipe gently, you will see if the carpets are visually dirty or not. My clean white wash cloth looks dark brown with dirt. This is after vacuuming twice and within 24hrs of Zerorez doing their job. I called Joe at the Santa Rosa office (they’ve recently relocated from Sonoma) to ask if this was normal. He said no, but that he did not spend much time on the area rugs so that they may be «a little more dirty» than normal. He also said he’d come back and re-​clean when they were «back in the area». I’m not holding my breath on this one. I have already called someone else to truly clean the carpets. From reading other posts on Unilocal about this company, I can confirm that their truck is extremely loud and annoying and that they don’t show up or call when they say they will. Beware!

Determined to try these guys out. I wasn’t that concerned about the price, but I get quoted some kind of special $ 129 for 3 rooms. I had to have them do a hallway which accounted for an additional room. Ok fine, but out the door it was a little over $ 250. I’d rather have just known the price ahead of time than be surprised. So you should ask what will be the price out the door. They’re lucky they get 3 stars because of this.
They two young guys who came were very professional and courteous. Carpets came out very clean, and dry time was a little less than usual.
I’d probably use them again, but only if they gave me a better deal.
What buffoon gives 1 start because their truck was loud? This is what this state has come to? Welcome to California. We can’t even handle loud noises, which has nothing to do with the quality of the job. God help you weirdos if you actually have to deal with a real problem in life.

They showed up on time and honored the price in the ad. I was surprised to be charged a disposal fee as that was not in the ad.
They did a very good job of cleaning the carpets. All the old stains came out and the carpet dried in approx. 6 hours. The carpets seems stiff after they dried but that went away after a few days. All in all, a decent carpet cleaning at about the same price as the other companies.
What I didn’t like was the technician not being able to run my credit card on the spot or being able to call the office to run my credit card. So my Mastercard number, expatriation date and security code were on the invoice which went back to the office for anyone to see.
Imagine my surprise when I discovered I was charged twice — — $ 360 each time — — on the day the carpets were cleaned and another charge three days later.
Here is the very bad part — — I called the office and they said they would have the owner, Enrique call me. He called and said that double charges happen all the time and that I should contact my credit card company. He was not helpful, but defensive. I called my credit card company who said to try and work it out first with the merchant. I called Enrique back and left a message. He returned my call saying his office did not run the $ 360 twice and that he had verified that with his credit card processing company. He said I could call them if I wanted to, and gave me the phone number.
So I called — — guess what? The processing company said my invoice was run through twice by the Zerorez office, exactly what the owner Enrique said could not have happened. He was not helpful or customer service oriented in any way. If I had not been paying attention I would have been out $ 720 for a $ 360 job.
Better customer service and assistance would have been nice and I will give a company with that kind of service my next carpet cleaning job — — not this company. I cannot recommend a company that takes a double charge so lightly, tells me it happens all the time, makes excuses, says his office couldn’t have done it (they did) and did absolutely nothing to help me resolve the situation. Find a better company to clean your carpets.

I set up an appointment for them to come and clean my carpet and couches between 12 and 2:30 on a Friday. No show and no phone call. Finally, at 5:30 they come and tell me they didn’t have the proper tools to clean the couches with them and because the rug was stained with pet urine they recommended I let them take it and do a thorough cleaning. They didn’t have the right vehicle to take it with them that day so we set up a time for them to return on Monday to do the furniture and pick up the carpet. Two very friendly guys show up on Monday and do a great job on the couches, but they said their truck had some rust in the back and they would come back the next day to pick up the carpet. Meanwhile, they folded up my wool carpet and put it in my storage shed. I wait all day Tuesday and nobody shows up. I call and Rick says he was unaware that my carpet needed to be picked up. He tells me he’ll have someone come on Wednesday. No Show on Wednesday. I call and leave a message. No Response. No Show on Thursday or Friday. I call again and leave messages the next Monday and Tuesday. Still no response. I am disabled and unable to move my carpet out of the shed where I am sure the carpet has been getting moist every morning from condensation.
I have spent $ 350 to have my furniture cleaned and am willing to spend another couple of hundred dollars for them to thoroughly clean my wool carpet, why they are ignoring my calls is a mystery.
They do a great job when they actually do the work, but if you don’t have several days to wait around for them to show up I recommend finding someone else to give your money to.

Called to set up an appointment. I had heard an ad on the radio. 4 rooms for 120 dollars. When I called the first the first thing they asked was was I calling about the radio ad? Then they informed me that the promotion was not valid in Sonoma county. I will call another carpet company who does not participate in false advertising.

We had Zerorez clean our carpets and are very satisfied with the work. The price is comparable to the competition. It had been a while since the carpets were cleaned and there were numerous spots and stains. Now the carpets look new again. The franchisee, Rick, is very hardworking and professional. He showed up within the quoted time and went right to work. The truck they use is bigger than the vans used by some competitors, but the equipment is more powerful. All carpet cleaning rigs make a lot of noise. All in all we highly recommend Zerorez.

I called zerorez and made an appointment for upholstery cleaning. They did not show, after waiting 1 ½ hours I called and was told that she would find out where they were. Called 3 hours later got answering machine, left message and waited. Called again yesterday — mind you my appt was last Thursday– left another message, no response. Clearly not responsible business owners. The thing that really annoys me is that I made it very clear in my message yesterday that I WANTED to use their services obviously they just don’t care.
Edited to add: After calling and telling them about the Unilocal review Isis from the Zerorez office called. Funny how that got their attention. She told me she was going to talk to her boss about where I live and get back to me the next day. 4 days later Rick the boss called and tried to tell me that a 15 minute drive from downtown Healdsburg was going to take an hour. I tried to explain that it’s only a 15 minute drive from the plaza in Healdsburg but he kept insisting that it would take them an hour. At that point I got fed up and told him I was tired of trying to deal with them.

Zerorez came to my home today and cleaned three large area rugs and two runners. I have two large dogs so the rugs were really nasty. Plus one of the rugs had cat urine stains from my cat who I had to let go when he went into renal failure. Rick was the person who came here. So professional and personable. He said he loved dogs so I let my crazy hounds meet him. My rugs are so clean. And the urine stain and smell from my old cat is gone! And you can walk on them right away. No nasty chemical smells. Just a bright and clean smell. I never knew my rugs could look so great. And the price is so reasonable. I will definitely call them back. I would recommend them without hesitation.

When I first called, they were completely booked up and had no availability for a week or so. They called back and said they could work me in on a Saturday so I made the appointment. The employee showed-​up right on time and was very professional. He worked hard and did a fantastic job cleaning the carpet in my home. The system exceeded my expectations as we were contemplating just replacing the carpet in our home because the previous owners had a dog. The carpet looked new when he was finished and dried quick with no funny odors. I would’t bother trying anyone else and will call them when I have my carpets cleaned again. Thanks.

this is the BEST carpet cleaning i have ever experienced. The carpet look like new. It is 10 days later and it still looks as good as it did when it was done. Two bedrooms, a hall and the stairs.
This is my first zerorez experience. I heard the late Gene Burns do the ads on KGO radio for years and finally decided it was time. Why did i wait so long? Nothing else comes this close. The appointment window was 8:30 — 10:30. The owner was here at 8:40 to do the work. Stains no one has been able to clean are gone! I’m sold! Thanks, zerorez.

i am so pleased in so many ways with zerorez. First, my rug cleaner, Joe was so polite ,
engaging and a hard worker. Showed up EARLY (awesome) and cleaned 4 rooms and a large hallway so they look like we just moved in. So So Happy. Also cleaned my sofa and loveseat which now look new also.
Secondly, Enrique, the owner, went above and beyond .US bank double charged my acct and blamed it on Zerorez. Enrique called Intuit and sent me a scanned batch out sheet for the day only showing he charged me once. I am a loyal customer forever

One star is being generous!!! No show, no call!!! No nothing!!! No more business from us!!!

I couldn’t have been happier. I called around, and their price was identical to other companies. When you only have a 1 bedroom, 1 level, there’s a minimum you don’t hit, and that minimum for almost all companies is $ 125. Sure there are «deals» for $ 25 off, but why mess around when you are talking about a deposit. My landlord suggested them, because they get rid of pet dander. I used them because they are 100% chemical free, using a process that (insert science here… changing ions or electrolysis, or something SCIENCEY).
All I know is that I am devastated I didn’t take before and after pictures, and I suggest you do the same. I had that «am I really that creepy» furntiure and carpet stains, so our lovely light tan carpet consisted of 15 shades of brown. There was a soy sauce stain I thought I had sopped up too… that looked aggressive.
They got out everything. Rolled up their big truck, the two guys were friendly and nice, and about and hour and a half later, voila — clean carpet, for a fair price, with no chemicals. You do pay a small disposal fee for waste, which is fair. Can’t just dump it in the driveway.

Glad I didn’t read the reviews before I called or I probably wouldn’t have used them. Maybe I just lucked out and scheduled for the right day! Whatever the reason, I am glad I called them because I spilled latex paint on my carpet and they got it out. My carpet looks beautiful. I had another company come before but they could not get the paint out. A friend knew about zerorez and said I should try them.
Two very courteous young men arrived on time and as scheduled.
I have one complaint/​suggestion though. The technicians should use booties over their shoes. I have a shoe free house and they were clumping around on my carpet with their old dirty shoes.

No Chemicals, supposedly! That’s all the GOOD that I can say.
Called them after hearing repeated ads on KGO. Get the KGO special $ 129 for 3 rooms! I love KGO, this is no fault of theirs, none!
Spoke with Zerorez and KGO price was honored, however, there is also a $ 35.00 disposal fee? Really? I went ahead and hired them to clean the living room, short hallway and one bedroom. I wanted the chemical free so was willing to pay for that .
Crew showed up this morning and brought everything into the house (I moved all the living room furniture out the night before so we were ready, bedroom furniture too heavy so not moved, cleaned around it). Kid then said job will be $ 175.00. WHAT? That was NOT the quote I got and I told him $ 164.00. He argued a bit and I said then don’t do the job because I am not going to pay anything other than what I was quoted. He called the shop (his dad) who apparently said go with the ladies price.
The kid explained, over and over, that they charge a minimum of $ 175 and they have a $ 25 disposal fee. $ 25? But I was quoted $ 35, so my price should be $ 154, right? Nope. I see. He then proceeded to tell me my living room counts as a multi-​room due to it’s size. Nobody told me square footage factored in and my living room is not that big. The kid then went on to say how expensive it is because they have to drive that big truck from Vallejo… I said that should be factored in to my price. If I am hiring a Sonoma company, I do not expect to pay fuel from Vallejo.
Growing more and more frustrated, I watched as they cleaned the carpet. A single pass over every inch. I had thought three passes, down/​up/​down, but I guess my logic was wrong. That is how the other cleaning companies have done it. He said their suction is far better. I do not agree.
He did not stop talking too much the entire time… he went on to slam KGO and ask that I call KGO to tell them to run the ads properly. The special price is for San Jose customers only. Again, Sonoma company can’t afford to drive those big trucks and all… REALLY? KGO did not say the special was for only San Jose and I don’t think they would offer something only to a select group of their listeners.
The kid the went on to blame Corporate for the ads. Well I am now trying to get a number for corporate, but have not been successful yet.
Overall the cleaning was not great, the customer service was appalling and the price is questionable. In the future, I will get all quotes in writing. Oh wait, that’s right… when I went to sign the invoice, under it was my quote and it was $ 164 so the kid was simply trying to get a few more bucks for the job.
Needless to say, I gave no monetary tip for the job. They didn’t even give me any of those plastic pieces to put under my furniture until the carpet dries.
Very dissatisfied with the crew, pricing and quality. Can not recommend them at all.
