An Inn 2 Remember

This is the second time I’ve stayed here, both times for wedding weekends with a packed schedule. I woke at 6:30 and found a Peet’s and a Dutch Bros. coffee near the plaza. This adorable B&B is conveniently located less than a block from the plaza and all the restaurants and shopping.
I’ve heard wonderful things about breakfast here but I have food allergies and didn’t want to impose. After all it’s a B&B, not a big hotel with short order cooks. You let the lovely Innkeepers know you’ll join them for breakfast in the dining room at 8:30am when you check in the day before or you miss out! You snooze, you lose, or you go pay for a breakfast in the square. Lots of great restaurants, The Girl and the Fig, The El Dorado Kitchen, The Sunflower Café, Harvest Moon Café…
The rooms are cozy with comfortable beds and plenty of pillows and blankets. Most laundry soaps give me horrible hives but the sheets and towels here don’t. The towels are stiff and scratchy so I’m guessing the softener most hotels use is the culprit. Works for me.
There’s a refrigerator nearby for all rooms to use with each room getting space so we stopped by Whole Foods, just a 3 minute walk, and purchased some cheese and iced tea for a snack each day.
My only small gripe was the hot room (it was unusually hot, over 90 degrees in Sonoma) and the Nest thermostat locks at 68. It also seemed to shut off periodically, getting hotter as we slept, so at 1am and 4am we had to get up to turn on the Nest.
We stayed in the Wisteria Room in back. Only one shared wall with another room and no one above or below it. Very quiet with a wall dividing the room — a queen bed on one side and a twin on the other. There was a little porch in back and with this and the front door open we got a bit of a cross breeze to cool the room down. The windows didn’t seem to open.
The bathroom could use some updating — it looks a little tired and doesn’t go with the vintage vibe of the room, but it’s well stocked and clean. Great hospitality.

Amazing experience and a highlight of wine country! Alice was so sweet and helpful every step of the way from check in to borrowing bikes to breakfast. Breakfast by the way, was communal and delicious. We met travelers from all over the world.
Our room was perfect. We had a king sized bed and our own back porch. There is also a hot tub!
This inn is right in the HEART of Sonoma. You can’t miss it. We will be back!

Our hosts were lovely — Alice met us upon arrival and was able to give us suggestions and answer all of our questions about Sonoma. She really went above and beyond, and Paolo accommodated my gluten free diet at breakfast each morning. Our room was very pleasant, clean and comfortable. The location is excellent — right off the plaza with wine tastings, shops, and restaurants. I plan to stay at An Inn to Remember again!

I booked my stay last minute back in April and stayed in the Jasmine Room. It was way more than I could have hoped for! Beautiful room, great location and the hosts were so friendly and accommodating! I would stay here again in an instant and can’t say enough good things!

We checked into the Inn 2 Remember for two nights in early April after a recommendation from a friend. Upon first glance it’s a charming B&B in the heart of Sonoma and it didn’t fail to disappoint throughout our stay.
Rooms — We stayed in the Jasmine room, which has its own porch and sits in the back of the house/​property. The room was a little small, but comfortable for two people, especially since we spent most of our time out around Sonoma. The bathroom was very spacious with a jetted tub. It was clean and well maintained. Our only hiccup came when we were there the first night. It was an unusually warm day in Sonoma for April (85 degrees) and our room was very warm. There was a Nest thermostat in the room that guests don’t have access to change and we couldn’t get our window open. I would highly recommend allowing guests to have control over the heat/​AC as everyone is comfortable at different temperatures. After the first night, the daytime temperature in Sonoma went back down to a more comfortable temperature, as did the room, so I imagine 95% of the time this isn’t an issue.
Food: a huge part of the B&B experience is the food and Alice is an amazing cook. Breakfast was served every day a 8:30am, but she held back food if a guest was running late or had to step out… All with a smile on her face. The food was presented impeccably and tasted delicious. We had a great time getting to know the other guests and comparing notes on where to go in the area.
I hope one day to return to this charming B&B and would definitely recommend.

This was once a frumpy little inn in a totally perfect location. Alice and Paulo have turned it into a little piece of beauty in a perfect location. We stayed in the jasmine suite, which I highly recommend, and it was tranquil, beautiful, and quiet. The breakfast was superb, and the grounds gorgeous. Alice was a wonderful hostess. I wanted to bring her home with me to help me decorate my house! Highly recommend this wonderful place in the gorgeous central Sonoma square.

This was our first time at a Bed & Breakfast. It was a great time. The owner was very friendly, and helped us find local wineries to go to. The bikes that were provided made for a very relaxing ride to a few wineries. The breakfasts were very enjoyable. It was a unique experience sitting around the table for breakfast with people from around the world. My wife and I really enjoyed the opportunity and the atmosphere.

Inn 2 Remember surpassed all my expectations during my first ever trip to Sonoma. Alice was the most kind & courteous host from my first email contact to the final goodbye. She replied to all my emails, had great recommendations of places to visit, restaurants to dine and walks. The B&B is cozy with spacious & clean rooms and located in a nice & peaceful neighbourhood. Alice also had nice breakfasts every morning that helped me get ready for the day.

This B&B is adorable! And in a great location where you are within walking distance to the main town square. We went in August 2015. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We used the hot tub at night after a fabulous dinner in Sonoma… it was great! Breakfast was delicious! They have bikes that you can borrow, so we rode them down to a nearby winery which was a lot of fun! Beautiful area for a bike ride! I would highly recommend this B&B!

Remember to be on time for breakfast!
My husband and I stay in Sonoma each year for my birthday. Our favorite B&B was closed for renovations, so we decided to try An Inn 2 Remember.
On our way up there, we stopped at a winery. We bought some wine and my husband put the bottles in the back of our SUV. He started to drive away from the winery without noticing that the trunk door popped back open and my over night bag accidentally fell out! We didn’t know anything fell out until that night when we went to change. The winery was unfortunately closed by then!
Early the next morning the winery called my husband, since he left a message on their answering machine the night before, and said they had my bag. It was 8:45 am, breakfast was at 9:00. My husband explained to the owner our situation and said that we would be late to breakfast since he had to go get my bag. She appeared very understanding. When he came back, I quickly changed my clothes and went to breakfast. This was sadly at 9:30. My husband knocked on the kitchen door to let her know we were ready to eat. She came out and looked at us unexpectedly, then told us that she would return to the kitchen and ask her husband if there was still time for him to make us something to eat. She quickly came back out and told us sorry, but he put all the food away! She offered us some cookies that were already left out (some Keebler elf shortbread cookies), coffee, said she was happy we found my bag, and returned back to the kitchen.
I don’t understand why they didn’t have something already prepared for us, especially when my husband explained to the owner our situation and that we would be coming late. We were expecting her to say something like «sorry, your food is cold now, but let me go warm it up,» instead of «sorry, you snooze you loose,» attitude. I was already upset about losing my overnight bag on my birthday and then to be offered some store bought cookies and coffee for breakfast?
Mt first impression of the inn, I felt so welcomed by the owner and thought the inn was so charming and relaxing. She offered us a choice of having breakfast at 8:30 or 9:00. She even placed a couple of cupcakes in our room to wish me a happy birthday upon our arrival. Unfortunately by the time we left, I felt uncomfortable and felt like a little kid who was being punished for doing something wrong. I was embarrassed for being late to breakfast then left feeling hurt that they didn’t share the breakfast with us that we were expecting. Oh well, by my next birthday renovations will be completed at The Cottage Inn and Spa, and we will happily be returning there next year, instead.

Beautiful place, lovely style and ambiance, amazing location, and thoughtful proprietors. We were in the Mimosa room and I loved sitting on the back porch swing and relaxing, as well as enjoying the super comfortable bed. The breakfast was delicious, and Alice really went above and beyond when I realized I forgot my phone charger and she lent me hers!

An Inn 2 remember is definitely something I will always remember! Our first time in Sonoma (and Cali), found the inn on Airbnb then called and spoke directly with Alice who was as sweet in person as she was on phone .
We stayed in the Cornflower room which is attached to the kitchen and living room area, felt like we had our own house for 2 days :) room was perfect for 2 people, clean, cute, personal bathroom and just what we wanted for a Sonoma getaway. Room was also the best priced we found in area. Breakfast was amazing and being able to walk right to dinner in Sonoma square and just a cab ride to wineries made it that much more perfect!

This BnB just does everything right! We stayed in the Rose Garden room for two nights and it was perfect. The breakfast menu is outstanding and changes daily– with 2 or 3 courses. Alice even substituted cheese in for me because she recalled I didn’t eat meat. The hot tub and coffee area are so cozy and tucked away and the decorations are just charming throughout. I recommend borrowing there bikes (free!) and biking to a few vineyards, although as the inn is steps from the square you could even walk!

Beautiful place!
We stayed at the Palm Garden and it was just perfect! The bed was very comfortable and the sheets very cozy and kept us warm! The bathroom had cotton balls, shampoo, conditioner, and soap.
The patio outside is perfect for morning coffee.
Breakfast at the main house was very nice. The baked goods were yummy and the crêpe was tasty as well. We enjoyed some coffee and orange juice.
The wine tasting card was great and saved some money on wine tasting. Will highly recommend the Viansa and Roche wineries.

This charming bed and breakfast has been a highlight of our Sonoma trip. Alice, Paolo and staff have been so warm and inviting and we instantly fell in love with this gem of a place. The amenities, food and hospitable service has been impeccable.
We stayed in the Cornflower Room, located in the main house. The room was nicely decorated and we felt right at home. The welcome basket of bottled waters, crackers and sweets were a nice touch. There was also a Sonoma map, winery map and free passes for tastings at participating wineries. Every night we melted into the luxurious linens, down pillows and mattress. The bathroom was clean and the shower had a good water pressure. I appreciated the high-​end hair dryer and bath robes.
The highlight of the Inn was hands-​down the gourmet breakfast (served around 9 – 9:30a). It’s a two-​course (sometimes three) warm breakfast that usually comprises of Paolo’s signature crepes, yogurt, eggs, toast and/​or sausage. The first morning we had Paolo’s Signature Pear Crepes, Baked egg in a hole with Spicy Sausage and Country Mashed Potatoes and Lavender Apple (?) Tarte. Second morning we had Plum Raisin Breakfast Crisp with Spiced Vanilla Yogurt and Norwegian Crepes with Mustard Glazed Ham. Every course was presented so nicely and was delicious. It was also wonderful meeting people from around the world. Orange and apple juice, cucumber water, coffee and hot tea were provided.
The location of this Inn is perfect. Walking distance to the popular dining spot, The Girl and the Fig and the main square area of Sonoma with all the local shops and eateries. The Inn also has first come, first serve bikes to ride around the town, along with a communal gazebo and hot tub.
My only complaint is the crammed parking lot. There are 5 spots available, some at angles. We were almost boxed in by another car who parked in the wrong spot and it took a while to wiggle out. We ended just parking on the street, so we didn’t have to fuss with parking in the lot.
What a wonderful way to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary and our friend’s wedding in Sonoma! We look forward to coming back.

Our first visit to Sonoma was amazing and this place was such a cozy and perfect stay. Breakfast was amazing. Our room was as cute as they come. We had a private patio, parking was easy. The couple that runs it is from Italy and they came to CA 7 – 8 months ago and bought this Inn. He’s an italian chef and she’s the in keeper — together they make a great duo.
I’m recommending this to all friends and family! Its within walking distance of ALL the wineries downtown Sonoma. The Jasmine room was the room we booked and it was one of the most private and the patio was beautiful.

What an amazing place to stay! This inn is cozy, intimate and one of a kind. My husband and I spent a week here, and this is our favorite bed and breakfast in Sonoma. We’ve been visiting Sonoma for years, and Alice and Paolo went above and beyond to make our stay as special as possible. The breakfast is incredible. The food is made with love by Christy, their chef, Alice & Paolo. Alice prepares family recipes that are so delicious. The food is not heavy, very fresh and a perfect way to start the day. We had fresh omlettes, fruits, crepes, granola, lemon muffins, quiche, bacon, sausage. The list goes on. Every dish is prepared to your liking, and if you have an allergy, or prefer something different, they are more than accommodating. Nothing is heavy, as Alice believes in fresh cooking… Not heavy cooking. I love this.
After breakfast, we took out the bikes they have available for use. We did this each day! Great way to exercise, see the town, wine taste or go for a picnic at a nearby park. We brought food back with us, and Alice showed us the community refrigerator. Each room has a designated place to store leftovers, wine or cheese. Such a wonderful surprise! We had a few nights in where we didn’t eat out, and this was perfect. We stayed in the mimosa room, and it had it’s own deck with swing, fire pit and table. We ate on our garden patio a few times, as well as our front in the community sitting area with other guests. The beds are extremely comfortable and plush, and the jacuzzi tub in our room was perfect. They also have a hot tub for all of the guests to use. Such an awesome way to wind down after a long day!
Alice and Paolo are a wonderful couple. They know the bed and breakfast industry well and you can tell they take pride in their work. Their story is inspiring, as they moved from Italy (having been in the hotel & restaurant business there) and made their dream come true of owning their own place. We can’t wait to return!!! Thank you for everything !!

Celebrating Valentine’s day with my girlfriend at An Inn 2 Remember was amazing! The owners Kym and Les were sooo welcoming. We had a late check-​in and they were there to welcome us, offered us hot cider and spent time with us to tell us about the tasting rooms around the square and restaurants to try. I even forgot my phone charger at home and they were kind enough to lend us a charger.
We stayed in the Wisteria room, which was beautiful. We had a gas fireplace in front of a sofa bed, his and her bathrobes, jetted whirlpool tub and dessert waiting for us. To illustrate how considerate the staff is, we stepped outside Saturday evening to find that it was raining, but found an umbrella on our door knob. That was so thoughtful of them! We had an unforgettable stay. We both agree that the inn was the highlight of the weekend!
Oh, and I can’t forget to mention the awesome chef, Christi. She worked her magic with a delicious new menu each morning. We had a croissant with custard and chocolate sauce the first morning and a salmon and egg open faced sandwich the second — fantastic! Appetizers in the early evening were also delicious served with hot apple cider.
You can’t go wrong staying here on your visits to Sonoma. The inn is walking distance to the downtown square that is full of tasting rooms, little boutiques and nice restaurants.
I definitely look forward to visiting again.
