We took our children to Gregory’s for Valentine’s Day and had great waitress service in Gregory’s beautifully renovated restaurant. The food was fabulous and we had everything from siracha fries with blue cheese and fried onions to mozzarella squares to shrimp scampi to burgers! Elegant yet kid friendly. Really a great night out!

Like the remodeled dinning room. The new menu is great and our food was great! Service was extremely slooooooowwaited to be seated with to parties behind us and they were served and had orders taken. We were waiting and finally approached. The waitress was wondering if we had been helped? There was only 6 parties in the place and 2 waitresses. They really need to work on that. We will try again, just hoping it was not the new normal. The 3 star rating was more about the good food.

Stopped in with my wife for a quick bite last night — what a mistake! They have a bunch of Oktoberfest specials this month, so I tried the sausage platter. The bratwurst and weisswurst were fine, but the spätzle noodles were bland and mushy. My wife ordered a turkey Reuben. What came out was a corned beef sandwich with cheese. She sent it back and got the turkey but had to ask for Russian dressing, as there was none on it. But that wasn’t the worst of it. We sat at a booth and she was facing the bar. We both ordered martinis, and she could see the bartender make them from her seat. He mixed the drinks, poured them in the glasses, and when he came up short he added water, not more vodka, to fill the glasses. I’ve always suspected a lot of bars water down their drinks, but this is the first time we’ve seen one do it where customers could witness it! I would never go back.

Pretty cheap drinks and the DJ was fun. It was an interesting mix of people. We went to watch a football game but with the lack of space and small TV’s it wasn’t the best experience. I’d probably go somewhere else next time and come here if I was with a smaller group.

Always one of my all time favs! Great staff, great food, awesome family owners. Just good people! Really great Taco Tuesday and back bar!!! Loved by all locals and always a stop with out of towners.

Still love their French onion soup! However we’ve been there twice recently this summer and the service hasn’t been great. The waitresses seem overwhelmed. Last time we were there we waited a long time for food. We’ll go back thanks to the soup that I love but I won’t recommend a big group go. Party of two seems more manageable for them.

Very disappointed! Service was slow and very unaccommodating. We asked for bread for the table and were told there would be a charge for it. We tried to order the steak sandwich on regular bread opposed to garlic bread and were told no. We had to ask the hostess to track down the waitress for our check. Not going back.

The bartenders and wait staff were downright rude, and smugly indifferent. Horrible attitude in that place. I have nothing nice to say about Gregory’s. Food was below average. I will never to go back. Done.

It was our first time in Somers Point, a Saturday night & every restaurant had a wait of 90 minutes or more. My grand daughter is only 16 months old, so that kind of wait was not really an option. We called Gregory’s & the woman we spoke to was so nice. Since we didn’t care about sitting in the dining room, she got us right in & seated us at a booth in the bar section. We were very happy with everything from our server to our food! I had pan seared crab cakes & my DIL had scallop/shrimp scampi over linguine. We got the fish & chips for my granddaughter & that was very good as well(she didn’t eat it all!). It’s not big on ambience, but then neither are we! The food was good, the restaurant was fun and the people were very friendly!

This is our go-to stop from OCNJ to AC. Can we talk about their wings? The. Best. We always get beers and a double order before hitting the slots. They are consistently fantastic.

Nice little restaurant! We had a VERY friendly waitress, Jamie. My friend got the shrimp parmigiana. It was good. My boyfriend the beef sandwich with longhot peppers, good but Tuckers on LBI wins this battle, hands down. I got the fish and chips which was great! Fish was fresh cod, the chips/fries were really good too. The clam chowder was good, creamy and the clams melted in your mouth. Very tender. They ran out of Key Lime pie, which disappointed us.

Love coming here for taco Tuesday/Thursday. Best deal ever and so delicious. I don’t drink dos Equis or corona often but they are always on special on these days. But the prices on their domestics are never high anyways so no matter what night you go, you’re getting a good value. A very local oriented place with people who have worked there since before I was even if age to drink. Food is always quick and fresh despite it being consistently busy. I love the chicken quesadillas and beef tacos. Not a fan of guac in general but they do offer it for an up charge if you ask about it.

Went on a Thursday for Taco night. Although the tacos are average, I ordered a nacho supreme — and it was quite good, although we were told it would contain several ingredients that it in fact did not. No free refills on tea. No warning or was that anywhere in print. They pushed refills, too. Not cool. The menu looks quite attractive, with regard to food offerings. I think we will be back for the ‘real’ food, much more aware of iced tea consumption(this seems to be a Somers Point, Shore Road thing) — just be aware of drink charges, as $ 12 in iced tea charges sucks.

Nothing to write home about. The only word that comes to mind is bland. I had to salt my food which I never do. Burger was frozen and preformed. The crab cakes had zero seasoning… I’m surprised at the number of good reviews I saw before we came here. We are definitely paying WAY too much for subpar food and I’m seriously disappointed. Would not return and would definitely never recommend.

Good food and excellent service! Even though your first instinct is that is just a bar there is a dining area in the back, I would recommend it for all ages!

Just wanted to grab a quick bite, probably should have gone to the bar rather than the restaurant. The service was good, and the food was quick especially since we were the only ones in there. The sandwiches came with a pickle and cole slaw and chips. Extra if you want lettuce, tomato, mushrooms, or bacon. The pickle was about 1⁄8 of a pickle, small as could be and the cole slaw was about 2 tablespoons. For the price of $ 8 something come on and give people a nice plate. Maybe I’ll try the bar next time or go on further down the road.

Ok, so lets be honest… sometimes you’re willing to sacrifice good service for really great food & really cheap drinks. 8 drinks for $ 28 is a really great deal. I had the seafood bisque & it was really superb & loaded with shrimp & scallops. The wedge salad was super cold & really crisp & fresh tasting. The cherry tomatoes were sweet & plump, the dressing was garlicky & delicious, & there was just the right amount of bacon & bleu cheese crumbles. My cousin had a chicken panini with mozzarella, garlicky spinach, & roasted peppers on warm & crispy bread. The waitress was extremely unfriendly & disappeared after dropping off the food & we literally had to chase her down for sauce for my cousins appetizer.

So I’ve been quite busy with my new job but I did manage to get to South Jersey this week and visit some of my hometown favs! Gregory’s is definitely a local’s spot where the drinks are cheap and ‘everyone knows your name’. I’ve been going to Taco Tuesday for over 10 years and its one of my favorites. 2 hard tacos for $ 1 and a soft taco for $ 3(which has gone up $ 1 since I was in high school, but the size has also increased). Don’t expect great service here, though. I always have a different waitress and she always gives off the impression that I’m annoying her in some way because I decided to give her place of employment business and then give her some money for taking my order and bringing me food and drinks… being a waitress myself, I would NEVER deliver something to a table and then run away before asking if they needed anything else. terrible. But overall Gregs is a great place to have some drinks, reunite with friends and have some yummy cheap tacos!

Every year I try to make it to Gregory’s during Bay Fest and since last year I had to skip Bay Fest I was excited to reunite. There is a parking lot across the street and is one block from the bars/ocean area. Gregory’s is great in every way possible for my annual festival day drinking. You want a beer or mixed drink? You’ll get it fast. You want decent food without a long wait? Perfect spot. Prefer outdoor seating? They have a private area and get this, it’s tiki-syle – fun! Two cons: Long bathroom wait and not enough seating for the outside area(first come, first serve in this bar). FOOD: I ordered a crab sandwich and it was out within 10 minutes. That’s pretty good considering it was super busy. The crab cake was a lump and claw mixture with less filler compared to other bar joints. The roll tasted like a fresh grocery-bought bread. The coleslaw was fresh and not watery. The french fries were not my thing at all(I don’t like fries to begin with though). They had an oily taste so my friend ate them for me instead. At least she liked them. I didn’t eat my crab cake as a sandwich because I really only wanted the cake. It was cheaper as a sandwich than just as a crab cake; with tax and tip it was $ 11 for the platter.
