Crabs were fine, but the owner was a total racist a-hole. He continuously bossed around his employee, «the Mexican» as he called him, while laughing about it and making fun of him. Not cool at all. Definitely won’t go back. I was sure to call him afterward and gave him a piece of my mind. He tried to defend himself but was a jerk on the phone too. We’ll get our crabs from somewhere else from now on.

Love Woodburn’s and always buy from them when I’m in OC. Reasonable prices, too.

This is a find for reasonably priced fresh seafood. The look is part of the charm.

Heard this place was good. We’ve gotten crabs before. Just went in to get some crabs, saw a sign for crabs, asked for them, and got such a condescending remark from the old dude behind the counte, «do you see any crabs? We ain’t got no crabs. Do you see them moving? Those are soft shells.» So we got clams. How rude! Sorry were not locals douchebag!

I have been coming here last the couple years during my family’s summer vacation in OCNJ. I make sure I get here at least once. They have some of the best seafood I have ever had! My go to order is scallops and little neck clams. The scallops are amazing — huge, flavorful, fresh. The clams have also been great! Prices aren’t bad. They usually have some veggies for sale and lemons. They also have some spices including old bay seasoning. Definitely worth a trip over the bridge.

Less than ten minutes away from the bridge into Ocean City and easily the best prices for fresh seafood in the immediate area(trust me, I called ‘em all). Got $ 100 worth of live #1 crabs, huge oysters, and fresh lump crab meat, all of which were delicious. Main complaint was that despite spending all that cash, the woman at the register was unwilling to toss in two crappy wooden crab hammers on the house. Not the end of the world, but how are ya gonna charge us $ 4/each for those after we just cleaned out the store for you? Nonetheless, would certainly recommend for fresh seafood near OC and would return if in the area again…

Dont let the exterior fool you. This place has the freshest seafood in the area. We bought the little neck clams and a few pounds of jumbo shirimp. All I can say is that we had a great meal and paid a realy fair price. The service was friendly and we even bought a big bag of green beans from the owners garden for only $ 2. I’ll be back…

Good local fresh fish, some caught by the owner himself. They have recently remodeled and it looks really nice.

Have been stopping in here for 10 years during the summertime, and have firends who have lived in somers point forever, and love it. If i lived here, would probably visit at least once a week, I just love their clams. I bring them back to PA and they last for 2 weeks in the bottom of my fridge. Usually stick to buying the fresh stuff(clams, scallops, crabs, fish) and not frozen(crablegs, lobstertails) Once they sell out of an item for the day, your s.o.l. Easy to miss with minimal signage. Check it out!

I make a trip to Woodburn’s once a year every year. He remembers me every year regardless. I’m a chef by profession, and every time I walk in. he sees me and immediately yells, «The CHEFISBACK!!!» Friendliness and comedic presence aside, I’ve been picking crab since I was 3 years old… no exaggeration… and those crabs are some of the best i’ve ever had. Big, Full, and sweet! The clams are always great and very clean, and the prices are amazing. I buy a full bushel(Basket, not count) with the lid bent over the top of jumbos for only $ 100! Beat that!!!

Really good fresh fish, which means they don’t always have an extensive stock, they have whatever is fresh. I’ve never bought anything bad here, the scallops and fish are always good, and reasonable prices. I usually prefer the lobster house in cape may, but this place is great too :)

It is definitely a local place, a little shady inside, but everything is FRESH. I stopped in to get some seafood for dinner and he cut it right off the fish. It’s real easy to find, right off exit 29 on Parkway North, it will be immediately to your right, just look for the confederate flag…

It doesn’t help that this business was listed with the wrong address. It’.s even cryptic on their business card«Rt. 9 Somers Point». But it is worth finding! This is a real crab shack with fresh clams of several varieties, even giant Quohog chowder clams. Yesterday they were $ 4 for a dozen giants. $ 15 for 100 cherrystones. $ 4 for more mussels than my wife and I could eat. They also have local fish(Kingfish was on sale) and crabs(hard and soft shell). Nothing is prepared, but all is FRESH and that is a find in itself. The correct address is 1250 Atkinson(New Road) heading toward the bridge on the left. It is tucked into a weird poorly marked parking lot, but this is a LOCAL place. It’s super close to Ocean City and within range of AC.
