Unilocal you have lost all credibility by allowing slanderous, untrue posts from lunatics(Harry F). The least you could do Unilocal, is REVIEW posts to prevent this kind of cyber bullying and harassment of a fine individual. The food, the atmosphere, the staff at Anchorage are wonderful… My friends and I will continue to enjoy this restaurant & it’s great employees for many years to come. Have a great summer 2016 Anchorage!!!

Good food and beer. We sat on the porch, so we had a decent view and fresh air. The wife had the Guy Fieri special, which was good. I had the shrimp Fra Diavolo and have had better, it was still good and spicy, just seem a bit oily. Our waitress was excellent. There was a good selection of beer including local brews from Tuckahoe and Cape May.

I went because I saw the place on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The wait staff was friendly, hostess was very friendly. The food was extremely mediocre. I had a steak special and there was a hidden piece of bone in what was a boneless cut. So I knocked part of a porcelain filling off and that pretty much soured me on the place. This is like a gathering spot for 60 to 80 year olds who love to drink quite a bit and talk about old times. The food is not worthy of DD&D. Not sure what Guy was smoking(or drinking) when he went here.

Well if they lose the view they will lose customers. Had salmon Oscar which was over cooked and the asparagus had dirt in it. Crabs meat was tasteless. Baked potato was not real hot and this isn’t even the full busy season! Margarita was good and service was very friendly.

Went with a group and we all ordered the flounder francesce, and the fish had an odd taste to it. It was either not fresh or very poorly prepared. How can a place so close to the ocean not have decent flounder? It was flat out disgusting. Guy Fieri must have been drunk when he picked this place for his show.

Out of all the years we have been coming down to the shore, we have always went to the crab trap. We wrote that place off about 3 years ago. Always packed and the food didn’t seem as great. We found this place the other day, and has replaced the crab trap. Every thing was excellent. My fav is the crab soup n my husbands fav is the jammer shrimp. The staff was great n the food came out fast. Wish we found this place sooner.

Are you serious??? We waited over an hour and fifteen min for me to get a rotten potato and chicken franchise that was loaded with clumps of flour in the sauce. I can’t believe I wasted all this time here, omg I am so angry I had so many places to choose from horrible horrible from beginning to end. Oh yea and the 3 little rolls were so stale the literally crumbled when I tried to cut it open.

I think it’s nice the Anchorage received props on national TV, but I hate that it had to be from Guy Fieri. The knowledge of him being in my favorite shore bar makes me uneasy. Like my hair might spontaneously spike after a bite of the cannelloni. I can’t be the only one out there who thinks he’s a tool, right? Regardless, I really love the Anchorage. Summertime or dead of winter, it’s always a good spot for a drink and a bite. After a long beach day I’m swinging by for an orange crush and some buffalo shrimp(two favorites). Or nestling up to the bar when it’s colder and ordering a Yuengling and(enormous) mozzarella sticks is just as rewarding.

Amazingly awesome food… dude…dude…they give you so much food… nothing like homemade Sangria and the freshest seafood I’ve had in years, not for the lack of trying either… our friendstess(hostess) Stacia gave the best entrée recommendations. oh did I mention they give you so much food… the crab bisque will make you slap somebody… Well done!!!

Never had bad service or a bad meal. Always a great experience. Mozzarella sticks are the best you’ll ever have.

Definitely a must stop in southern NJ shore if you can get in without waiting 90 minutes during the season. The Anchorage is definitely an all around good time. The beers are cold and priced right. There are pool tables and it’s usually packed . The food is good solid comfort food that’s in big portions. The clam strips are freshly breaded and tasty as are the super large mozzarella sticks(more like logs). The first time I was there I went for the guy combination. I thought the Gorgonzola flounder was good but the cannelloni was awesome. This time around I had the Hawaiian grouper which is topped with Dungeness crab. It was delicious and as I’m typing up this review I’m really missing that grouper. My son ordered their steak sandwich which wasn’t great. It’s was a small steak on a toasted roll — it was big for a steak sandwich but small on flavor. He won’t be ordering that again . We also tried the seafood Milan which was a huge portion of pasta and seafood. The sauce is extremely flavorful but also very rich. We haven’t been able to finish it either time we’ve been there. The anchorage is a solid good restaurant down the shore. The prices are right and the portions of huge. Go and enjoy but be mindful of the long waits in season.

Eh. Fun place a little hit or miss on the food. Sometimes the soups are great sometimes not so much. Most of the times the appetizers and entrees are great sometimes they’re not. Always the pizza blows never does it not. A little loud most of the time. The servers are excellent as are the bartenders. Fun place to hang with friends and family.

I am not entirely sure why this restaurant was featured on triple D. Perhaps I should’ve ordered one of their expensive dinner entrées, but we were eating at 2pm. We ordered the Buffalo wings which were gigantic and slightly breaded. Their Bleu cheese dressing was really good. For our meal, we ordered the Memphis burger and the Italian burger. The burgers were good, but there wasn’t anything that stood out where it made me want to come back. Portion size was decent. Service was attentive(I would hope so since we were the only ones in the dining room). Other than that I guess I was expecting more since this restaurant was featured on triple D.

This place is AWESOME! Totally worth the one hour wait! Lots of memorabilia in the waiting area. Entrees ordered: Danny’s Steak Sandwich, Veal Picatta, Guy Fieri Special, Caprese Salad and Chicken Quesadilla. Food was served in a timely manner and was prepared hot and served promptly. This place will not disappoint!

When a tourist from a third world country sees the size of the chicken parm portion, an army will be raised. The powerful will be ripped from their decadent nests, and cast out into the cold world that they know and endure. Courts will be convened. Spoils will be enjoyed. Blood will be shed. Come hungry or don’t come at all.

Local neighborhood bar with a great view if you are on the porch or by a window in the bar. Typical ambiance. Dark bar with televisions. Small cramped dining room BUT. Consistent delicious food. From the burgers to salads to loaded nachos this is the bar stop! Never a bad choice. The patty melt is a great indulgence that I allow myself once a year(caloric count may kill me-lol). My mother enjoys the nachos for more then one meal(they are enormous). Steamers are excellent and reminisce days gone by when steamers were a staple for my young family. My family has been regulars for years –for us there is no off season –we go any time of year

If you like rustic tavern ambience than this is the place. I always get the seafood Milan and it’s always cooked to perfection! My girlfriend got fried clams and chicken salad tho it sounds odd it was terrific. 2 dinners with bread and choose of soup or salad and two beers came to $ 46. Not bad for a location that could raise prices during the summer but do not! If you get a chance check out the World Famous AT!

Solid bar/restaurant located just outside of Ocean City– very thankful for the«bar» part of the establishment! The wait and the parking was a bit of a nightmare, because it’s clear this place is very popular. Luckily you can order drinks while you are waiting for your table(expect an hour or so) and they’re fairly strong – my gin and tonic was missing a lime, but even with the house gin it was good. Once we got to the table, our server took our orders and returned more quickly than expected. I ordered the Manhattan clam chowder(extra $ 2 instead of the soup du jour) and the blackened mahi mahi, which came on a bed of rice and a choice of two sides. I got applesauce and coleslaw(because I am a child and because I was trying not to carbo-load). I really liked the mahi mahi, which was a bit flakier than I like, but good enough that I put it in my eggs the next morning. I came with my family, who were all pleased with their choices as well(mostly seafood combos). Solid seafood options at reasonable prices! Stand out of the night was the service, actually. Very friendly waitstaff(even if they were clearly busy because of the droves of people), competent and attentive servers, and management was clearly visible making the rounds to ensure everyone was happy. Good job!
