1 Star= Because it is super duper clean, lots of employees, plenty of options for every beauty aspect! 1MORE Star= For having all newly updated Essi and OPI collections even the small ones that allow you to try the whole collection for cheapo! I was on the hunt for NICKIMINAJ’s OPI collection & unfortunately SHREK green was the only option left for me womp womp… which brings me to why I deducted three stars. — 1 Star= Because they need to have a better stock of OPI collections, especially the NICKIMINAJ and new Holland collection. I mean common you know they are going to sell these puppies like cray … –1 Star= Because I was looking for a new curler. Nothing $ 100+ … my price range was $ 50-$ 39.00 … so a decent one. Everything looked the same. So a associate comes over to ask me if I need help, while me «THEDEERINHEADLIGHTS» nodded slowly. I told the associate that I wanted to know the difference between old curlers and the new ones. I tell her my price range and she starts showing me some models of curlers new and old. I ask her the difference and she says that the stylist prefer the old one. I ask her … why do they prefer it and her response is «I do not know… they just do… I do not really know the difference between them… let me ask someone else». So in my little brain I think…(Jessica what are you doing here? You know nothing about hair… they are supposed to know about hair, but they don’t) whatever, I waited for her to get additional help. NOW: Enter: Stylist with accent… Stylist: Oh, you want curler? Get OLD one. Me: Why? What is the difference? Stylist: I like old one. New one is hard to use. Lots of practice. Me: Oh, that’s okay I just want a good one that will give good results. I need practice on both regardless.(Like I said I know NOTHING about hair…) Stylist: Get old one. Or get new one if you want. Your decision. (Minus last star) I would assume if you work at Ulta you should have some background information on new products. Or at least ask the product training manager… if they even have one of those at Ulta stores. I am clueless when it comes to hair so I thought asking a professional and an associate would definitely lead me in the right direction, but it didn’t. I ended up not purchasing one thing from there. I walked over to the nail section and the same two employees asked me if I needed help again! I rolled my eyes and said«No.» And I walked out. You clearly can not help anyone… Help me … HELPYOU!

Just to confuse all of you… We had a wonderful experience here on the busy Saturday before Easter. My teenage daughter had an important photo to take, and Mario Tricocci ruined her hair in the morning. We arrived to ULTA with no appointment, and within 10 minutes she was in a chair, getting her hair redone with an excellent blow dry/straightening and then styling and curling. She looked and now felt fabulous. They even charged us less than the usual fee — and the stylist was so kind, so talented, and so fast! We can not remember her name — but she only workds Th-Sun, and has 4 kids, and brown curly hair. We will definitely come back even though we live ½ hour away.

I’d have to agree with above review. I’ve had them recommend a service to me which would have been a lot more damaging to my hair. They once recommended that I strip and bleach the black color out of my hair. When I went to the«real professionals» they told me that that was a crazy and very unprofessional advice. All I had to do was highlight my hair with lighter color and add toner. Safe yourself the trouble, go somewhere else!
