Simi American Cab

I had a hard time hearing the responder when calling because of lots of loud background noise. He kept misunderstanding my address. Finally, I got it across and he quoted me 5 – 10 minutes. Shabbir Kam picked us up 25 minutes later. We were going about 4 miles away. I was watching the meter because it seemed high from the start, then as we pulled into the parking lot it said $ 17+. He put the car in park, and we opened the door as he says «$ 20 will be fine.» I thought, that was the plan, but you can’t assume a tip, then I look at the meter and it says $ 22+. Apparently, the meter jumps $ 5 when you park. I said something, but he didn’t reply at all. When we were done with dinner, we called for a ride back. The same driver showed up, much more prompt, but equally «shady.» He did not even turn on the meter and took a different route home, one that is actually half a mile shorter. We took pictures of the rates and did some calculations, even rounding up on time and miles very generously gets us to maybe $ 12 total each way. If this guy shows up, wait for the next one! He drives a white car, kind of like a hatchback, license plate number 18722E1. I know we aren’t talking about a lot of money here, but this kind of blatant dishonesty and disrespect really makes me angry.

This Taxi service is super quick and reasonable! The taxi driver got to my location in 7 minutes. He was very nice and he is open till 3am on weekends. I live in simi and will definitely use this taxi service again! :)

Found this one through Taxi Finder… estimated fare for my trip was $ 24 according to the app. I needed ASAP pickup. He quoted me 15 minute arrival time, verified quote was accurate. He arrived within 15 minutes as promised and got us to our destination promptly and actually a few dollars short of quote. He was friendly and helpful. Would use this service again.

I’d give this company no stars if I could. I called and the guy that answered didn’t speak English correctly (so I had to speeeaakk reeeeaaal sloooooow) and neglected to state the introductory greeting. It was after I asked him if I was calling a cab company he stated irritably, «simi American cab». Seriously, if you don’t answer properly or professionally when customers call, are we supposed to eventually give you our credit card numbers over the phone in order to secure a pick up?
He asked for my address and I stated that I didn’t want to give out my info just yet but needed an approximation by city. His response was“ok, when you have an address call me”. Ok now you’ve given me your irritation and dude… yea, I’ll be calling you so why don’t you hold your breath for me? Needless to say, I hung up on him. Another thing, stop having your friends and relatives leave you reviews on Unilocal and Google, Einstein. What a joke.

Amazing, trustworthy, fast, reliable, and great customer service. I used them twice and now they are on my speed dial because I use taxi service very often as I’m a student. I would recommend this taxi service without any hesitation.
