I’ve been to Delius twice now and each time I’ve left satisfied but a little irked. Both visits were during happy hour. The first visit was on a Thursday evening & I checked in on Unilocal.I ordered the Tabasco popcorn(simply for the free-ness) and at the end of the meal was charged $ 4 because the Unilocal Tabasco Popcorn was ‘different’. So heads up about that. Not a huge deal but irked. Service was attentive, everything else about the meal was great. Second visit was on a Saturday afternoon shortly after HH started. Server was totally inattentive. Wine & water was left empty for long periods of time. We’d ask for something & he’d forget only to conveniently remember when we asked another server. Ugh. Next time I’ll sit at the bar because that guarantees less chance for miscommunication lol.

Three of us went to Delius for a Saturday night dinner, and got there before it was crowded which was a bonus. The meal started out well, but the food and service were both mediocre. Our server got off to a good start, but once he took our order he made himself scarce. He never asked how our food was and he never brought the second beer that I ordered. Fortunately I was not charged for the beer. The food was ok, but definitely not worth the price. $ 28 for the curried chicken special that was absolutely nothing like the way the waiter described was very disappointing. My wife enjoyed her salad, at least. Plus, I have a strong suspicion that MSG was used in my food, as I had my usual symptoms after getting home. We will not be back, which is a shame as it is a cool location.

Soooo. I really wanted to like this place. Brought my booski here for her birthday thinking we were gonna be fat and drunk. Only left drunk. So we came 2÷5÷16 and were seated at 8pm. Didn’t wait long at all. Like 5minutes. I told the hostess that it was my friends birthday. We ordered our BlackBerry Cosmos, which were really good btw. The only reason they get one star. By 815 we both ordered the fillet. About 840 the waiter came and asked me if I got my salad. Told him I didn’t order one but thanks. At 900 we had to call the waiter, Justin, over to tell him to bring my check and keep the food. He acknowledged that it had been over 40min and he would check on our food right away. I said no thanks. Then brought the check with the two fillets still on. Yeah. Not gonna happen. He took them off and appologized… The manager never came to the table to say anything about not getting our food, as we walked out, with our empty stomachs, he said«sorry ladies». Fuck You. For ruining a birthday. Shoulda comped the drinks.

Went here for the first time today and I really enjoyed both the service and food. I ordered the pork belly sandwich and Delius side salad, and both were yummy(would order again). Did not have cocktails, but will be back to try those. Definitely recommend this spot!

I’ve been to Delius 3 times and have been satisfied each time. I’ve never seen it crowded though and I’ve been there for after-work drinks and Sunday brunch, so I’m not sure if people just don’t know about it or what. I highly recommend their brunch, $ 10 unlimited mimosas! They also make a concoction of pineapples soaked in vodka mixed with cranberry juice and topped with cherries. I’ve had the green eggs and ham benedict(pesto sauce instead of hollandaise) and it’s pretty great. Thumbs up!

Although they are pricey, everything I have had here is very good. I had the watermelon and tomato burrata cheese salad. It was really good. Their bread is delicious and generous. I know them down a star for noise in the main dining room. The side room booths near the kitchen are a lot quieter and easier to hear your companion.

Are thou kidding? The place is beautifully designed and clean. Has attentive waiters serving Food that’s a notch above. The green eggs and ham alone will have me coming back.

Ate here with my friend for an early dinner today. The restaurant in itself is beautiful, the staff are very attentive and amazing. We never had to wait longer than a minute for anything we asked for. That was great. The problem? The actual food itself! Our bread was hard as a rock and very difficult to chew. The octopus I ordered was cooked perfectly but the seasoning they used made it taste bad. They put some kind of sausage bits in it(which was very over cooked and hard) and it overpowered the whole dish. The only reason I gave any stars was the wait staff, the food however left a very bad taste in my mouth for this place.

Shout out to Lynda who got mom and me out in a timely fashion for mom to catch her flight. She also made some crisp, cool cosmos that pleased our palettes! I’ve been here several times over the past several years. I’ve never been disappointed. Decent food, great service, sophisticated and intimate atmosphere. I would give 3.5 stars if I could… Today mom and I shared vegetable pot stickers. I will not order those again — something kind of pungent inside left me not so impressed. We also shared the fish and chips — beautifully crispy batter on the outside with flaky tilapia inside. I’d definitely order that again! Free Tabasco popcorn for your Unilocal check in. Different but enjoyable!

Wow — my hat is off to Devin — amazing service, dare I say the BEST service ever?! Ok I can get pretty needy at a fine dinner service — we were thoroughly IMPRESSED with Devin and his amazing thoughtfulness! We are die hard fans of Lou, one of our favorite waiters ever, who has been serving us for years — but he was not there tonight. We are impressed with the staff at Delius, everyone we have had lately including the *entire* staff(from top to bottom) has been FANTASTIC! Props to Andrew as well! I’m the pickiest person ever and I am 100% satisfied with these guys!!! We have been coming to Delius since they first opened and the staff they have now is the best EVER! — We are there once a week, minimum, and we haven’t been disappointed lately about *anything.* Great job guys!

Decided to try this place on a Sunday evening. Restaurant wasn’t busy and the service was very attentive. We ordered small Caesar salad, soup of the day and the Mac and cheese(wasn’t a fan. would not recommend) and the mushroom and vegetable risotto, which was sooo fracken good! Will definitely have to come back for it! It’s on the rich side, so you can probably share this entrée. They also have a happy hour menu on the weekdays from 3−7p? I believe. They have their own parking lot and I would say this is a place you bring a date to.

This restaurant is consistently good. The cocktails are excellent and they have a great happy hour ! I love the Kobe Beef Sliders and homemade chips. The Lobster Ravioli entrée is fantastic. They also do a wonderful salmon that is fresh, light and delicious. Not the usual trendy LA feel of course, but the quality of their cooking is top of the line. It never disappoints !

I highly recommend the salmon plate. It’s very delicious! The combination of the salmon with the pesto sauce and rice is so perfect, so full of flavor! The plate also comes with broccoli. I came during lunch by myself and the atmosphere was great! They have a very cool bar area. I was working(they have wifi), therefore I didn’t sit there but I can definitely see myself coming back and sitting there.

One of my favorites and a regular stop. I love the Sunday brunch and Happy Hour. Sunday brunch is plated, not a buffet. Try the green eggs and ham Benedict, Kobe burger or pork belly sandwich. The french toast is really amazing, but it’s dessert for breakfast. Sunday is usually a quiet day here, we’ve often had the place nearly to ourselves. They have a kids menu too. For a family meal with young kids Sunday afternoons are the best bet; in the evenings the crowds are larger, they’re mostly out for fancy dinner, and the acoustics make the place loud. The cocktail menu has some very tasty, creative choices. The Spice Route(Dark rum, lime juice, lemon juice, orange juice, spiced simple syrup, ginger beer) and the Delius(Scotch, Canton Ginger, Cointreau, orange bitters, ginger) put my mouth in a good mood. I could eat plates of the Kobe beef sliders on pretzel buns and the barbecue pork sliders on Happy Hour. The wine offered for the happy hour changes frequently and is usually quite good. There’s usually a fair crowd for happy hour, and it’s a friendly sort. The prix-fixe dinners are a lovely thing to do for a special night out. The menus change monthly, so check the website if you might not be up for, say, octopus ceviche or something equally adventurous as one of your courses. The quality of the food is excellent, with interesting combinations of textures and flavors(designed to pair with the wines) and beautiful presentation. The price is reasonable compared to what you would pay in LA or OC, and for us locals, not so much of a schlep. If you’re going to go on a Friday or Saturday evening, you might want to call ahead, and know that the parking is not great if there is an event.

Casual but classy(clasual?) wine-barrish, gastropubic joint. Great Monte Cristo sandwich w/spicy marmelade. Shoestring fries will take care of your salt intake for the week.

One thing I LOVE is finding a NEWSPOT to chow down. My company is REALLYNICE and allows each department to do whatever they want by way of celebrating the holidays. Are department usually does a lunch because it works for most everyone schedule and we are not a huge group. I missed our department Christmas lunch and then I missed the make-up Christmas lunch because I was having my foot sliced open. YUM doesn’t that statement just make you want a bloody mooing sand. Hahah! So my VP being the AWESOME guy he is took me here for my belated Christmas lunch. I had no idea where we were going but he also drove and has adventurous taste buds so I knew where ever we went it would be GOOD. We drove up and it was pretty empty. I wasn’t really paying attention but knew I was in Signal Hill and we were not far from work. We walked in and my eyeballs were assaulted with a pretty fancy accoutrements. I was impressed. I had NOIDEA this place existed. The walls were lined with different bottles of wine and the décor was simple and elegant. The place was starting to fill up for lunch but we got there in enough time to have plenty of seating choices. They greeted and sat us right away and gave us menus. Our server Brian was GREAT and came right up to us and asked for our drink orders, how our day was going, told us he was having a good day but nothing over the top. He spoke clearly and was VERYDELIGHTFUL. Such a change from how some servers are. Some act as though you’re bothering them for coming in to spend your money and then tip them for their pissy disposition but NOT here. Sheesh! We perused the menu and had a few choices in mind and when Brian came back he told us about the wonderful specials they had and the soups of the day. We both went to the left and got something different. I went with the Pastrami Reuben Panini which was pastrami, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, rye bread with Thousand Island dressing and it came with chips which I thought meant fries but were actually chips. I had a water with lemon since I’ve been trying to drink more. J Boss had Tri Tip sub which was roasted trip tip, grilled Italian roll, fried onions, horseradish sour cream, provolone and au jus dipping sauce and it also came with chips. J Boss got an Arnold Palmer to wash it all down. J Boss also decided to get one of the soup specials and leaned toward the black bean purée which was more a vegan style soup which he REALLYLIKED! This place is REALLY not that big but has a VERYDECENT menu with pre fixed items on it. They also seem to cater toward large groups because I saw several come in and some were meetings. If a regular table doesn’t work for you there is always there banquet room which is nice and they even have a chef table in which you can view the chef and talk to him. He’ll come out and you basically get special treatment which is cool. J Boss’s soup came out right away and soon after our food did as well. DELISH! My sand was REALLYTASTY. It could have used more sauerkraut but whatevs it was still good. I think next time I will get it lightly panni-fied because Panini’s tend to hurt the roof of my mouth at times. Even though I/m not a chip person they were good I will just get a salad or fruit next time. J Boss REALLY enjoyed his meal and soup which I could tell because the plate was PRETTYEMPTY by the time they cleared it from the table. I will FO-SHO be back here. I must try something with a NICE wine and I like the dinner menu. It’s ALWAYSGOOD to have a NICE place to eat not far from home with some comfort foods. Sorry no pics this time. It was sort of a business lunch.

Love this spot for lunch or even a couple of drink for Happy hour! They have great lunch specials. I usually will go for something on the light side for lunch. Love the tandoori chicken salad. It has a creamy curry kick to it and is just the perfect size. Get the bread! Even when I’m resisting carbs I often time break the rules for their bread. I’ve only been here for Happy hour once but they have decently priced appetizers and drink specials. They have a great dinner menu too, but a bit on the pricey side.
