WORST SERVICE EVER. Forgot to put back my and LOST my DIPSTICK. Told me I needed
a transmission fluid change and when I went somewhere else, I learned that they
had discarded my dipstick. On top of that, they rammed my car into the center
metal opening and gave me flat! They then refused to give me money for the FLAT TIRE
instead, only offered additional services at no cost. GO ELSEWHERE.

Really nice guys working here but it shouldn’t take an hour for an oil change on a Sunday at 8:00am.

I have been a Jiffy Lube/​Sherman Oaks customer for the past few years. I am always pleased with the amazing service and how quickly they get my car done. I came in today for an oil change and was in and out in under 30 minutes. The staff is fantastic and I look forward to my visits!

Unbelievably poor experience! This is the 2^nd time we’ve been there for a simple «oil change». The 1^st time was okay and they tried telling us that our 1 yr old car needed all types of fixings — turns out it did not but we let it go due to the convenience of location proximity to our home and operating hours.
2^nd visit: Car is less than 2 yrs old. We got there at 10:15 and said everything would be done within 30 minutes. My car wasn’t serviced until 11:47.
They began with showing me these pitch black filters. I have no idea where these filters came from but I highly doubt they came from my car. Than a previous customer came in complaining of a $ 30 overcharge & Jiffy says: opps, sorry.
I started to question them about the long wait and they said: ohhh, your car wasn’t starting so you need a new battery. Funny, I was able to drive away without getting a new battery. Ummmm, what? Brand new car, less than 2 yrs old and less than 22k miles. Car hasn’t stopped and now miraculously it doesn’t start? Yeah, I don’t think so. 4 months later and my same battery still works and has not once died on me.
After I start to complain, my car was ready to go with no new battery of course… After paying and leaving, all I can think about is what if they did something to the car? Did they mess with it? I left with such an uneasy feeling and truly dissatisfied.
We won’t go back. If you go, triple check your receipt & get 2^nd opinions on any car repairs they suggest.

Thanks Jiffy Lube for taking out my cabin air filter and putting it in backwards. Glad I trusted you guys with working under the hood. $ 56 oil change and this is what I get. These guys are so eager to find something else to repair/​replace, they can’t even compare 2 arrows and install correctly. I change my own air filters for this very reason. Don’t take my car apart unless you’re going to put it back correctly.

I regularly get my oil changed here, and have always been happy the service. But this time, I needed a new battery, and the only one in stock was a little out of my price range. So they offered to go out and get one that was at a better price. I was so grateful that they went out and did that for me! Such a nice group of people working there! I recommend this place!

I’ve waited a few months before posting this review. This is one location to avoid at all costs! Unprofessional, untrained, and just plain lazy. I could waste everyone with the details, I could share the letter that wasn’t answered from corporate, blah, blah blah. The shortest version is these jerks cost me two days of my vacation and I’d rather pee in my pants then go here for any kind of service.
Update to the chain and why we should never go to this chain:
The wheels feel off!

I brought my brand new car here for its first oil change. They didn’t fasten some type of metal cover underneath the car back correctly and 10 mins after driving away it began dragging making an awful noise. When I called they refused to come to me, tow it and they said that they bolted everything down correctly. So… I apparently left, got under my car and removed the bolts myself all in a matter of minutes. They were swearing and unprofessional on the phone also. They told me to drive back the 2 miles with it dragging. Yes they bent it back into shape and attempted to put the damaged piece back on the car but who knows how mangled it was… this is a brand new car!
Lesson learned. .I will never go back to a quickie oil change place… imma sticking with the professionals!

I brought my car in yesterday for an oil change. I told them I needed air in my tires (as my tire pressure sensor was on) and they said it was included in the service. When I picked up my car the tire pressure light was still on. I took it somewhere else for a smog check today and they told me the pressure was low on all my tires. They added air and the sensor light went off.
So what exactly did they do for the $ 57 I paid?

My most recent oil change here was not completed properly. When I left and got on the freeway I heard a metal grinding. I pulled over and something was dragging from the bottom of my car. Turns out the skid plate was not bolted to my car after the oil change so it came loose, damaging the undercarriage of my car. Unfortunately it was New years and Jiffy was closed for the next 2 days. When they opened I went in 3 separate times to talk with the manager, Hector, who always «just stepped out». He finally contacted me and told me he would need to speak to the district mgr. Contacted me again to say I needed to come back in so they could take a picture.
Hector never once apologized for the sub par service or my inconvenience or the fact that my car was damaged because of their incompetence. In fact only one employee there has been even remotely friendly or helpful in this situation, Markis. So my 1 star is for him.

Be sure to check in on Unilocal or print a coupon ahead of time, you can save $ 10-​$ 12 on the oil change. I love that you just pull up, no appointment, and in 30 – 40 minutes your oil change is done. Even if they are a little busy and backed up, I have never had to wait more than an hour, but that’s if they are real busy. Everyone here was polite and courteous.

Called here to get a quote because they are very close to my house. Without looking any information up, the gentleman who answered the phone (after me having to call THREE times) said my oil change for my little Ford would be $ 89.99.
$ 89.99. Really?
The dealer themselves only charge $ 39.99. If they can’t be competitive about rates why would anyone use them?

I will never do business here again.
The manager told us that it would take only 30 – 40 minutes to do an oil change, however, when it takes almost 90 minutes I am not ok with it. My time is valuable and I will take my business elsewhere.

The five stars are for the unexpected integrity level I found here during a crisis.
It was a Sunday, we were headed up the 101 for a day out when the transmission on our Caliber overheated. Of course there were no garages open, so we found the nearest Jiffy Lube. Even though we don’t use them on a regular basis, we were in their system. Received the first name greeting and treated well. Mechanic found that it was a sealed transmission (thanks Dodge!) so it couldn’t be checked. We thanked him and drove cautiously back home… where I realized I’d forgotten my wallet at JL. I called them and they said it would be safe for me to pick up the next day. When I picked it up, I was pleasantly surprised to find everything intact. All my credit cards, all my cash. In a public spot where you’d think the honesty level could be questionable Jiffy Lube did the right thing.

I get the whole lube & oil change business, you pull up in need of what we think is a quick oil change, you hanging out then BAM they walk up and do their upgrades. It’s annoying, but this place does it with class and they actually show you the dirty parts to verify.
They were quick, clean and would I truly love is they rotate your tires.

When it comes to oil changes this place offers a competitive rate. My issue is with the unethical up sells that these guys try to pull on you. Last December a tech told me I needed the radiator fluid to be changed. When I asked how soon it needed to be done he said I wouldn’t drive much longer like this.
I drove around for months thinking boy my truck could break down at any moment until I had another auto shop work on my car. I told them about the radiator fluid issue and they laughed at me. Said there was no issue with the fluid. I almost spent $ 120 on that service and lost brain cells worrying about this proposed issue.

Luis is awesome, never going anywhere else!!! Went to the jiffy lube on the fly, tried some other places which all charged $ 80 or more. Luis gave me options but what stood out is he recommended local areas to check out and the confidence is what made me stay.
I was in and out within 15 minutes, had great service and was surprised to know it was actually the best price in the area. Truly happy with my visit and I would recommend this place to anyone.

Well, its been several months since I brought our car in.
The overall experience was pretty good.
Use a check in promo to knock off some $$
The manager was on the phone and made the check in process a little rough, but I survived.
After taking our car to a mechanic, I think I would prefer their business do our future oil changes, as we have lots of miles on the car & a leak problem.
I would likely recommend this spot, otherwise.
