My car was towed here after I had a bad accident and I am glad it was. Edwin R. really helped me out when I told him I did not have full coverage insurance. He told me places I could call to get after market parts and piece it all together again to make it safe and drivable on the road again, which really helped to keep the cost down. I would definitely recommend bringing your car if it gets smashed up.

My beautiful BMW was restored to show room condition after being rear-​ended this Thanksgiving week. Edwin & Edwin handled the insurance, the authentic BMW replacement parts for repair, and detail (zero hassle for me). 818 Auto Body was a referral, and I couldn’t have been happier.818 Auto will be my auto body shop going forward if the need arises again.

We brought in our Prius after a minor accident. The owner, Edwin, was very helpful and his team did excellent work. They even detailed the car afterwards.

WORST customer service around. I asked to get an estimate for my car and they said if you have an estimate you will not get another one. They said shopping around is not allowed. Terrible customer relations. Inadequate people skills.

818 is walking distance from my house. Luckily, it’s not only convenient, it’s a GOD SEND.
Edwin has made two repairs to my car: 1. The time an idiot pole tried to make out with my car and 2. The time a jackass trashcan sucker-​punched my side-​view mirror.
Both times Edwin worked with my availability, timing and budget! Now if only he could put my car through therapy to have healthier relationships & boundaries with thug road hazards.,

A smashed fender is no fun, but 818 Auto Body had my car all fixed up fast and for a very fair price. Edwin is such a gracious gentleman and the work on the car was excellent. I couldn’t be happier with the service I received and highly recommend this shop. 818 Auto Body is right next door to Handy J car wash at Beverly Glen and Ventura in Sherman Oaks.

This place was great and I left really happy. Someone had hit my bumper and their insurance sent me here. I dropped in for an estimate, which took about 20 min. They said they will send it to insurance and contact me once they get the assignment/​project. I asked them about car rental places, and they said there are two nearby down the street that most insurances cover. They were nice enough to call the insurance company and find out which rental place they cover. I dropped off my car and got it back about 9 days later. The best part was that they did a detail cleaning and I felt like I got a new car once they were dont with it.

This is one of THE best auto body shops ever!
I recently bought a 2015 Honda Civic and not a week after I bought it I ended up getting into an accident where the front end of my car was side swept by a huge truck. I was beyond upset and frustrated when I took it to this body shop but Edwin Rosales ensure that everything would be ok and he would make it look as if nothing ever happened to it.
Within 2 weeks I got a call from him saying that my Civic was ready to be picked up! I was impressed and grateful that he was able to get it to me so quick! And when I saw it, it look good as new and as if nothing had ever happened to it.
This body shop is one of a kind where they take their customers’ best interest in mind and the quality and standard of work is one of a kind. If anyone ever asks for a recommendation, I would share this place in a heartbeat.

Poor, poor quality & shady business practices. Unbelievable that these people are still in business! Avoid at all costs. Extremely dissatisfied with not only the unethical way they chose to do business, but the customer service sucks.

1) On my first visit, they fixed my mirror which came off free of charge.
2)I was in a car accident last month, and they fixed it in a timely matter. In fact, the insurance company predicted that it would have taken ten more days under their shop. They expedited my car since I was paying out of pocket for rental car.

So I moved to LA exactly one year ago. I literally made a cross country trip with a battered bumper (all the way from Texas). Once I got here, it was time to get my car fixed. I went to a couple of places but when I walked into 818 Auto Body I knew from the get go that they actually cared about their customers! My car was fixed quickly and expertly. The hilarious thing is, someone rear-​ended me about 8 months later so I took my Murano right back to them and they did a bang-​up job (pun intended) once again. I have since sent my girlfriend in to get her car fixed and will continue to tell others about how great their work is!
It’s not easy to find honest people in the autobody business, but if you go here you can expect exceptional treatment!

Completely incompetent people work here. Scheduled an appointment for them to tow my car and meet with an appraiser to asses the damage. I call on day of and the owner tells me «Just have them come to your place and evaluate it.» Complete lack of organization and unprofessionalism. My advice is stay away if going through insurance or scheduling in advance because they are unorganized.

About a week and a half ago I walked out to my car to find that someone had backed into my car, detaching a portion of my fender… and did not leave a note. I’m sure you can imagine how frustrating and inconvenient that is. I found 818 Auto Body through USAA and then read the Unilocal reviews online and decided this was the best place for me.
I was not wrong, this is by far one if the BEST experiences I have had with a body shop. When I came in Edwin had already been in touch with my insurance company and paperwork was printed and ready for me to review. He was so kind and informative. As he looked at my car, he told me exactly what he saw and what would need to be done in order to fix it. He even called Enterprise for me, which he did not have to do…
The lines of communication where always open and I was never left in the dark. Not for one moment was I unsure of what the plan was. I cannot tell you how valuable that is when you work full time and are preparing to leave the state for the holidays.
I got my car back this week and it looks beautiful. I was so thrilled and grateful. Edwin and his staff went above and beyond fixing my car. It was clear to me from the moment I walked in how passionate he is about his work and the service he provides.
I would highly suggest using 818 Auto Body if you need work done on your vehicle.

My two week old car was keyed at the park, and I took it in to 818 to get a free estimate on fixing the scratch.
The gentleman that came out to look at the scratch was nice enough, but politely blew his prognosis out of proportion. He told me that my only options were a full $ 850 removal and repaint of the panel at his shop, or for me to use a touch-​up pen «if I really wanted to». I declined his services, and found a local touch-​up guy to solve the problem. Despite 818 telling me «not to let anybody say they could touch it up or fix it», somebody else fixed it perfectly for $ 500 less than his quoted price.
818 might be fantastic if you’ve been in a accident and your repairs are covered under insurance, but that wasn’t the case for me.
