The good: They play EPL games on the Telly! And the staff is awesome. And prices are very reasonable for Seattle. The Bad: Often Chelsea fans take over the place and harass the other customers. They have a habit of trying to start fights and love to tell you the outcome of recorded matches. Unfortunately, the staff does nothing to address this and turn a blind eye. Sadly, this is why I, as a regular for several years, have stopped going there. That said, if they ever fix their Chelsea problem… I’ll go back.

[Out-of-Towner Review] The Pub. Each city has one that is well known for it’s TV always on footy and their copious amounts of brew… and/or other adult libations. Smells like a bar. Feels like a bar. But that’s the great thing about it. All the soccer, especially Seattle, paraphernalia line the walls. We happened to catch a USMNT game while we were here and I think this is where their supporter group goes to watch it, unofficially. We didn’t enjoy the patio with the large flat screen, but it looked pretty awesome out there. We also didn’t enjoy any food, but it all looked like delicious pub food. Again, there is nothing fancy or amazing about this place — but if you enjoy soccer and booze, then it doesn’t need to be fancy or amazing. Tons of seating, but there is prime seating near the large flat screen. Thankfully they have two levels, inside, so everyone can see the game, not big heads! I sipped on a Blueberry Stoli and Sprite and J sipped on a beer. We were happy campers and had no complaints. Soccer and booze, I don’t take to much to keep happy ;)

I love this place. I think it is my favorite pub in Seattle. I like to get up early and watch an EPL game from time to time and I used to go to the St Andrew, which is actually closer to my house, but once I discovered the George, there is no turning back. The George & Dragon is small. It can get packed for a Darby game, esp for Arsenal, so you need to come early if you want to sit down. The food is decent — standard English pub fare — I usually have the hummus plate– but the burgers and the breakfasts are fine too. Nothing fancy in the beer department, Guinness on tap, beer and cider. Wait staff is exceptional. Chicken curry is disappointing, esp since John the owner is from London and should know better! There is one pool table. There is a great juke box. Quiz night on Tuesdays. I think darts are on Mondays. There is pub soccer in the summer. There is a kick-ass bus that goes to all the Sounders games and back, for $ 10. This little shack has it all! It is now sandwiched between two much bigger condo buildings, kinda like that little house in «Up». But that is one of the reasons I love it. It could use a real fireplace in the winter but oh well. You can’t have everything!

At first I couldn’t find it LOL… but this was our first stop for David’s pub crawl run. Loved it. Super chill and they serve big groups! Bar was centered. Sitting areas around. We had a bunch of vodka redbulls before we left. Had to park quite far, since there’s limited parking spots, but wasn’t a far walk at all. Nice chill place to come and hang out with friends!

I’ve been frequenting this bar on and off for years. It has a really cozy feel to it and a great beer and liquor selection all reasonably priced with heavy pours. They are open until 2am every night and often open early for soccer matches. All the bartenders are really nice, although they do not have table service. The food is surprisingly good. My favorite is the shepherds pie! Their burgers are really tasty too. Big portions and very hearty English food. I’ve never been disappointed when choosing the G&D. They have a lot of regulars, and that speaks for itself.

They got Guiness on tap and that’s enough to keep me coming back. Nice ambiance in the bar with an olé English feel. Was fun to talk to the ladies here. Didn’t try any food. Bartender both were friendly and cool to talk with.

As if the name wasn’t reason enough to come here, it also has a great name. One of the top pubs in the Seattle area.

In my humble opinion, this is the best pub in Seattle to watch a soccer match! Good traditional English food, good choice of European beers on tap! The staff is friendly and the atmosphere when there isn’t a match going on, is laid back.

Coming to watch soccer is great and fun but the food here is not good and very limited selection. I wish they would get a new chef since I want to like this place more and buy more food but with the menu today it’s just not going to happen

Great place to watch soccer(soccer always gets priority for the tv’s). The closest to English fish & chips I’ve found. Love their mashed potatoes and gravy(comfort food). The patio is excellent in the summer and there’s a tv out there to watch games outside. The bar staff is always great too!

I’ve been here before as an ex-pat in 2004 to watch England play soccer. It’s the best place in Seattle to watch soccer and has a wonderful English breakfast. Go Crystal Palace in 2015 – 2016

Guess dogs aren’t allowed at George and Dragon anymore… Even on the patio where I’ve brought my pups multiple times… Or maybe they never cared to enforce this? Good shepherds pie tho. But probably won’t frequent as much, especially on nice days since dogs aren’t welcome

Nice little dive bar hidden between larger buildings. Decent beer selection. Sports on TV but not a sports bar. Good spot to unwind on a weeknight.

I really want to rate this place higher. I love it because you can always watch the Sounders games and there are TONS of TVs. But the facilities and food have yet to really win me over. It’s not quite divey but not quite nice — somewhere in between but not necessarily in a positive way. The food is pretty lackluster. In other words, English food has a reputation for being bland and this definitely fits that description. It is generally cooked well but just not seasoned — at all. I will say that I recently had the quesadilla and that was pretty decent — although I’m not completely surprised since there’s not much you need to do to make a tortilla and cheese taste good. The cocktails are decent but«nothing to write home about» as quoted from my b/f. They do have a good variety of beer and cider on tap though. Also — the outdoor patio is nice on sunny days.

Meh. Food is ok. Bartender was ok. Beer selection is ok. Fish and chips are oil logged, soggy and the fish portion surprisingly small. Close enough to Market Arms that it’s worth a trip down the street for much better food and service.

Had a very very bad experience here with the bartenders and staff. Echoing some of the other reviewers, this place has no class and I will be glad when it’s replaced by something better.

First time here. 10:00-ish Saturday Night. Two men sat at my friend and I’s table. Clearly to flirt. They informed us they were Irish and regulars at the pub. We tried to politely ask them to leave. I finally stated that I was just trying to hang out with my girlfriend and would appreciate if they left. One of the men said he would«love to see us make out.» To which I said, he can(explicit word here) leave right now. He then acted shocked and demanded to know why I was so «mad.» I told him if he wouldn’t leave I would, grabbed my purse and motioned for my friend to leave the table. As I collected my things he said I was an” ignorant(explicit word here — female dog) and a fat(explicit word here — woman who sleeps with many people) «. I informed the bartendress of what he said after I moved. She apologized and informed the owner. I saw the owner speak to him, and then the bartendress offered us „apology“ shots. Which was a nice gesture, but not the solution. Then a male bartender came to speak to me, he seemed to be trying to be nice, and explained that these guys were regulars and when they had too much to drink sometimes acted up. Okay? So, I should forgive their drunken transgressions then? Male bartender states, „Boys will be boys.“ Irish men who harassed my friend and I don’t approach us again, but their group of friends begin to give us angry looks from across the bar. Eventually, a new male who is friends with the original harassers approaches us and asks my friend to „spank his(backside).“ He leans against me, grabs my shoulder, and at one point stumbles and grabs my(chest)…for balance? I ask him „Please, do not touch me.“ Even though we have informed the bar of our issues with these men nothing is actively being done to keep them away from us, stop serving them, or remove them from the bar. Male bartender who has been speaking to my friend and I to. in his own words…“put out any fires.»(My interpretation of this phrase is makes sure chicks don’t get mad about sexual harassment they allow into the bar) playfully chastises him and says«leave the ladies alone, I’m watching you» and male bartender leaves shortly after. His warning is ineffective and I ask my friend to quickly finish her drink so we can leave. Our only crime was walking into a bar, drinking a beer. This experience gives me the distinct impression that the George and Dragon believes women who claim to be sexually harassed are over reacting and that the George and Dragon is more concerned with keeping the business of these drunken indecent men, than protecting customers, or potential new regulars. My friend and I left after the groping and stare downs from the regular patrons the George and Dragon. I’m disappointed the George and Dragon didn’t feel the need to remove them from the bar, and doesn’t seem to have any policy in place to deal with these kind of people. Most bars I frequent do not serve people once they become a problem and remove them from the bar if they get out of line. This was too intense, and I can’t imagine we were the only women that have been chased out by these«regulars.» Drunkenness is not an excuse to be disrespectful. Work out you priorities. Don’t hide your head in the sand. Stand up for women and this entitled negative nonsense that gets thrown our way. Men don’t have a right to us just because we order a drink a bar, and I shouldn’t have to be called names within minutes for asking them to leave us alone. Unless I hear by some sort of magic this bar changes and is willing to do what’s necessary to protect it’s customers… I will NEVER return.

Love pubs with character? Love football(no not handegg, the one actually played with your feet) and making new acquaintances? The George & Dragon is your place. I’ve been here on random nights and during matches, and I’ve liked both experiences. When a match is on, there’s an excitement that can’t be found in other bars(even during sport matches). Just be sure to get there early if you want a chance of sitting down. When it’s a ‘normal’ night, there are games and books and so much space to lounge around. If it’s nice out, they have an outdoor patio available for non-smoking purposes. Really guys, it’s not that hard to read signs. The G&D also has a unique ambiance which I really enjoy, being kind of a europhile I love saying things like«I WANTBANGERSANDMASH» and not have people look at me like the weirdo I am. The food is great pub fare, if you can call English food great(at the George & Dragon, you can!) and reasonably priced. Bring your mates and have a grand time.

Our birthday group shut this place down at the end of the night and they were pretty nice when kicking us all out. They had a nice little setup with lots of room to wander around and mingle. Drinks were good and water was plentiful in big pitchers all around the bar. The overall feel was pretty divey, which I enjoyed, but there’s a fine line between divey and«needs a wipedown or two.» I would’ve given them the extra star if there was a cleaner feel going on there.

Laid back, chill, and not at all pretentious– which for a pub on the edge of Fremont is exactly what you need. Looking around on a Saturday night you see all types, backgrounds and ages which is great for a pub like this. Beer selection and drink prices were great, and I’m sure the patio is a hit in the summer. I’ll need to come back for a Sounders game too…

The food is traditional English fare, and the ales are excellent. The atmosphere is exactly what we hoped for while watching sporting events. Without doubt a very cool place.

Looking back at my review from seven years ago, I can’t help but think that perhaps I was just a bit mean spirited towards this place. Really this place isn’t all that bad, it’s a decent place to grab a beer and have a conversation with friends. I’d much rather come here than some hipster bar or meat-market. It’s probably one of the least pretentious places in Fremont. I gotta say, a lot of my rage towards this place was based on my hatred of Soccer. Not necessarily of the sport itself, but towards people who cultivate a feigned interest in the sport in order to appear more sophisticated than your average American football/basketball/baseball loving sports fan. For most I would bet their interest in the sport is nothing more than a pose, or an affectation. American soccer/football fans are the pretentious«hipsters» of the sports fan world. Anyhow, I apologize to the George and Dragon for being overly harsh towards their establishment. I’m still going to keep the previous review, however, because 1) it is kind of funny in a mean-spirited kind of way, and 2) it reminds me of just how much I have mellowed with age. Carry on, G&D, perhaps I will stop in for a pint the next time I am in town.

Just ok as far as English bar those, and even worse if you go on a Sounders/Big-PL game day/night. Annoying parking options and the most«european» customer service I have found in the US.
