Very welcoming and cozy dive bar right near the ferry terminal. Compared to what I’m used to, the drinks were very affordable. There was a good selection of tap and bottled beers. I tried some of the local brews as recommended by my server, and I wasn’t disappointed. The atmosphere was quiet, and lent itself to conversation. The barmaid was friendly and had a box of pastries that were offered to the guests. I liked it!

We literally popped in here for a quick one and ended up staying here for a few hours. Brenda the barmaid was great fun and she made us feel so welcome. The only reason we came in was because of the reviews on here, we weren’t disappointed

Cool bar in a cool location by pikes place. It feels like you’re in some sort of badass urban treehouse that serves beer(and sandwiches! though I didn’t have one). Happy hour prices are solid.

Loved the tiny tucked away ambience. And they make a drink called Shark Tank ** Dr. Pepper + Fireball = delightful

The Forge is a hidden gem, it’s a place where locals and commuters merge. The service makes everyone feel like a regular. The drinks are good too, after all that’s why we are there.

It’s a super low-key bar that’s a fun late night place. We had some good IPA’s.

Another happy hour spot during our pub crawl Friday night. The place was slammed yet the bartender who was running the show solo kept the drinks coming. Nice vibe and fast service with good energy. Win.

Definitely a legit dive bar. No cocktail menu & locals mostly frequent this spot. But I came here on a Sunday in the early evening & it was definitely low-key. But I bonded with the bartender because she doesn’t like Taylor Swift & that wasn’t expected. So that was refreshing since everyone likes her terrible but catchy songs. Drinks are strong so that was a plus! I’d check it out if you’re in the area.

The ladies running the bar tonight were awesome! Looks like it’s the type of place where regulars come. Everyone was friendly and the ambience was great. Come for happy hour or if your catching a ferry!

Brenda is the s-h-i-t!!! Expertly concocted libations. The rarest selection of spirits and craft brews that cannot be found at any other watering hole, let alone at the best stocked of alcoholic super stores. Ask for a specific type of liquor and you shall be presented with an unprecedented mixed drink that will send shivers down your spine and leave your taste buds spasming in gustatory ecstasy. The best pickles that money can buy! While the selection of food is limited to a handful of sandwiches, each one will make you come back to see if every other grilled breaded treat is as good as the first one you tried. The atmosphere can only be described as such… purgatory. At times you will find yourself in the middle of downtown Seattle in a sparsely inhabited dive that you cannot believe you get to have to yourself. At others you will find yourself surrounded by a medley of the widest variety of characters that the city has to offer and FORGing alliances that would never before be possible in the mainstream range of social circles. All in all, one can never come here expecting less than to become part of a new family and certainly never leave with anything less than a smile on your face.

Cool place; stopped in for a few local brews. Take stairs; it’s on second floor above Dania.

The bartenders are wonderful, the drinks are stiff, the food is perfect for a snack after a good night out in Seattle, and it’s a great spot to catch a last minute drink before you catch the ferry to Bainbridge. It also very much captures the local Seattle feel. Highly recommended.

It was ok. Drinks good, sandwich was really good, it was The Grinder, a toasted pressed looking sub that reminded me of a spicy cuban. I don’t know why I can’t rate it higher, just didn’t feel higher than a 3. Small, dark, kind of strange clientelle. Maybe just the difference between an Arizona boy and these snooty strange Seattle people, I don’t know. But, I wouldn’t steer you away, it was adequate.

Seattle Unilocalers, ya done good! This has to be one of my favorite bars EVER! There is nothing posh or fancy about this fantastic dive of a bar but as soon as we walked in here one Wednesday night I knew that we had found something special. I had one beloved friend whom I knew would still be up for a drink or two despite my late arrival from Phoenix. We found this place on Unilocal and navigated downtown Seattle until climbed a flimsy looking metal staircase to the top floor of a nondescript building to find this place pretty lively in the otherwise ghost town that is downtown Seattle, late night during the week. The bartender and patrons alike were friendly and talkative… no room for pretense here. After choosing from a nice selection of local craft beers, we found ourselves a good corner to park it and catch up for a few hours over beers. This is SUCH a great bar and they pull it off without any gimmicks, flash or pretense… just a good spot with a good vibe and good people. What more can you ask for? I would be a regular if I lived in Seattle.

Four stars for ambience, three stars for food. I was feeling generous today, so I rounded up. Came here after work for a Friday happy hour with coworkers one day. I had a really nice cocktail that I think had some green tea in it, but I don’t remember the name. It was good though and I don’t remember it being too pricey. I might have ordered two? For food, I decided to order the chorizo quesadilla. It sounded quite good, and I used to live in Spain so I will almost always order anything on a menu if it has chorizo. Unfortunately, I was not overwhelmed with satisfaction after eating the quesadilla here. The portion was fair, and the pico de gallo was also good, but the problem was with the chorizo meat itself. It seemed like maybe it had been overcooked, or they were using old oil or something. I ate most of the plate anyway, because it was«fine» and I was hungry, but I did remove some of the chorizo out towards the end, just because the taste was a little overpowering and not in a great way. Ambience is pretty cool, and it’s a little off the main drag so you get cool points for knowing about this place. I wouldn’t try coming here with a large group unless you get there early. The bar is not very big.

Went here for happy hour thinking there would be a lot on the menu, not so much. The drinks are good, but no real happy hour food. the bartended even sai«i can heat you up a sandwhich if you want» not really somewhere I want to go for happy hour again. Maybe if I just need on strong drink and thats it. But otherwise, I do not think its really worth it.
