This place is on point with their drinks. Granted they do the same drinks as up stairs at the Temple but the amount of detail and prep that these guys put into the drinks makes them stand out. They don’t just mix things together but take the time to muddle the mint and peal the perfect twist off of an orange for the drink. The ambience of The Pharmacy is well done also. Very clean and trendy but not like super hipstery. A place anyone could sit down to get a great drink but still relax with friends and chat. I never feel out of place even if I’m all dressed up in a skirt and heals or in jeans and Nikes.

Been here three times and they are not only decent in how they treat you but they put pride in the crafting of their drinks. Manhattan, cosmos and a few other drinks I’ve tried with them are top of their class. These guys can mix a drink.

I love discovering new cocktail bars and this one is pretty awesome. They’re only open from Thursday to Saturday evenings so come by if you’re looking for a low key evening with delicious cocktails. The décor is like everyone else described, part-hospital, part-LA vibes, but very unique. The bar is tucked away below Temple Billiards and there are two ways to get in — through Temple Billiards or across from Caffe Umbria(you have to ring a doorbell). It looks like you can order food from upstairs and eat it downstairs. Saw people eating pizza. It’s a pretty big bar but it’s great for small groups as well. I really enjoyed my Dr. Girlfriend gin with grapefruit drink, and I hope to be back to try many of their other cocktails!

The space is awesome. It feels more like being in someones living room having drinks served by a friend than being at a bar. Speaking of bar — there isn’t one here. Literally. No bar. You have to get seated in one of the groups of couches/chairs and order from the waitstaff. The cocktail list aspire to be something out of a 20 – 40’s movie set. They’re all classics. But the execution lacks… There are so many cocktail bars in Seattle serving up classic cocktails with much better result. Come here for the ambiance, have a conversation with friends over a pre-dinner drinks, but don’t expect to be wow: ed by what you get in your glass.

This spot is unique, that’s for sure. It’s underneath Temple Billiards and upon walking in, my first thought was eclectic. The décor is a mix of Ikea and fancy hipster furniture decorated in hospital horror-style. I can’t say I’ve ever seen a bar quite like it. The décor feels a little cheap, to be honest, but the cocktails make up for it. They’re stiff and the menu starts with the classics, but keep flipping through for the more unique drinks! All in all, if you’re looking for a different bar experience in town, The Pharmacy is it!

If craft cocktails and secret bars are your thing then the Pharmacy is a place you probably want to check out. You can go downstairs from the pool hall or use a side entrance that you need to ring a bell in order to get down. Came here on a Friday night at 10:00PM and it was… crickets. It wasn’t until 11 that people started flowing down. The drinks were made stiff, tasted good, and it had a pretty cool vibe in the basement in a kind of hospital horror scene kind of way, I like it.

Dropped by for a drink with some friends. Great atmosphere. Difficult to find at first, must have walked past it. Luckily, the doorman at Temple Billiards told us we can enter from The Pharmacy from within Temple Billiards, so we still found our way in. Overall — great drinks, just tell the bartenders what kind of drink you like and they’ll recommend something! My group was pleased with the drinks and the atmosphere!

My husband and I celebrated our birthdays here on Saturday night. The management and the staff were AMAZING! About 50 people came and everybody has been telling me what a great time they had and what a cool place The Pharmacy is. All they asked was that I call a few days before with an estimated head count so they could staff accordingly and they even let me play a playlist I had on my ipod … Cuz when I’m drinking I like to hear my jams. =) Anyway, I want to give props to The Pharmacy for making our birthday party a fun and stress free event and especially to Rolando and Eduardo. You guys are great!

Amazing place. Great classic cocktails. Décor was surprisingly elegant. The service was amazing and the bartender worked very hard. We came during a Mariners game and the pace was empty. More should come!

I would recommend giving it a try the cocktails were good and bartender was friendly. I liked my husbands cocktail more then mine he had the rum punch. Feel like the only thing missing on the cocktail menu was the use of more local craft spirits. Fun environment and if you are looking for an added activity you can always head up to Temple for pool.

I absolutely fell in love with this place at first site. Adore the eclectic ‘60s décor and the speakeasy vibe. The staff was super accommodating and there was plenty of seating. Granted, it was a Thursday– might be busier on a weekend night. I will definitely be back.

I’m not sure I get a sense of cohesion from the décor. It’s somewhere between a speakeasy and a hipster modern bar by a decorator who’s really into Jonathan Adler. We found this easy-to-miss spot while walking around Pioneer Square before the Art Walk. You buzz the doorbell and the bartender comes up to let you into the basement. Press that buzzer hard, by the way. Apparently our first buzz didn’t even go through. Anyway, this place makes good craft cocktails and you can place order for the food they serve upstairs which are nothing to write home about pizzas for the most part. When we were here, we were the only ones in the space so it’s hard to tell you more about the ambience or the crowd. It did feel a little less traditional than most bars though. It’s more a drinking space than a bar. I wasn’t alive during Prohibition but maybe that’s what speakeasies actually felt like? Regardless, my drink was good(to be honest I was a little too hungry to want more than one drink when I was here so can’t speak to a trend of how good their drinks are. The one I had was very satisfying though) and the space, though it lacks cohesion, was interesting enough. The bartender was extremely nice and accommodating. Four stars for now with room for improvement for future visits!

Rundown: Quirky space that’s good if you’re with a group. — The décor here is unique and quirky, yet somehow cohesive. This is far from a traditional bar setup, in fact, there is no «bar». The seating arrangement is something between a cocktail party and a house party; think groups of furniture areas for people to lounge on. This is no problem if you’re coming with friends, but this is not a bar to come to alone. The drink menu is pretty standard. I wouldn’t come here in search of a unique cocktail, though I suspect Eduardo would whip something up for you if you asked. I had a sazerac, and it was great, so what that lack in range, they make up for in quality. There’s somehow just not enough décor and furniture to cover up the white walls and concrete floor, and I found it easy to remember that I was in a basement. This place is a bit akin to walking into a friend’s basement and realizing where all their parents’ stuff from the 60’s went; however, I think that with a bit more accoutrements this place could kick ass in ambiance and novelty.

This place was just wonderful. It’s like they had me and all of my dreams of the perfect cocktail bar in mind when creating this place. It’s swanky, quirky and most definitely fits the«1960s Palm Springs» description they give themselves. Wonderfully friendly bar tender, created a perfect made-just-for-me fruity cocktail that was far from ordinary. They featured the perfect soundtrack that consisted of Sinatra, Dean and the like. When they played my favorite(«Ain’t that a Kick in the Head») I almost lost it. This place was too perfect! Love love love… I’ll definitely be returning the next time I’m feeling fancy!

If you have ever been to The Parker in Palm Springs — then head to The Pharmacy. Great Jonathan Adler vintage vibe coupled with classic vintage cocktails make this a pioneer square hidden gem reminiscent of some great West End hot spots. Martinis and old fashioned are clutch. Go after 10pm. Hurry before the hipsters make this place theirs!

Underneath Temple Billiards, open on Thursday through Saturday. Great craft cocktails, quality ingredients, unique atmosphere.
