Celebrated my sisters 30th birthday at the lounge. Saw pictures of the lounge and thought it was big. But it’s a lounge. Haha it’s a good size! Staff was great and attentive. DJ could have played better songs. Drinks are great and the foods even better! That night the waitress who helped us was Colby. I think that’s her name. There were about 20 of us in a booth. The celebrant was pregnant! So while me and the others were drinking, Colby made sure my pregnant sister was taken care of and didn’t feel left out by serving her specialty juices and such and kept the food coming! Thumbs up to Colby! Place wasn’t packed but there were people. We were there the entire night, and we all left happy.

When I am spending $ 300 a night for a hotel room, I expect complimentary morning coffee. Not offered. If they did, no one told me. TIP: instead of a complimentary newspaper. WHOSTILLREADS A NEWSPAPER? ANDIFYOUREAD A NEWSPAPER, I BETYOUREADITWITHYOURMORNINGCUPOFCOFFEETHATCOSTS $ 6FOR5OZ. SHEESH! Morning breakfast was flavorless and dry, English muffin was cold and stale, potatoes were cold, dry and bland. Cost? $ 40. YIKES! 3 Nights total: $ 1500.00. $ 70 plus tourist fee, sales tax, city tax per day to park your car?! HUH? Tourist fee? IMNOT A TOURIST! I LIVEHERE! Never again. I should of listened to a couple of the employees that said to go eat next door at the Lodge, better prices, food and atmosphere.

Nice location. Clean hotel. Read the reviews about rooms prior to checking in about they’re outdated and looks like their sister hotels but they said all the rooms just got remodeled. Looks nice. Also read bad reviews on front desk people but the gentleman who checked us in was great. The only thing is the valet is $ 61 a night!!!

What a great hotel. Everything is beautiful. But why is the staff soooo unhappy?! Even unfriendly. We sat at the bar and greeted our bartender: goodevening! We just got a nod. Then we tried To be Nice and said: we heard you have a really Nice gin and tonic. To which he said nothing and poored us two G&T’s with Tangeray. We can see they have way more gins. Very disappointing. When checking in we started with saying: what a beautiful lobby. To which the reply was: name please. I pushes the whatever, whenever button on my phone in the room. And after 12 rings it still was not answered. It Seems there is something totally off with the staff. Such a big GAP between How Nice everything looks and How the staff treats you.

Exceeded my expectations… from the Valet, check in, room size, bedding, amenities, to room service. I highly recommend the warm cookies & milk!!! Can’t wait to schedule my next trip to Seattle! Thank you, W! A+!

I have been a regular at this hotel. And I really liked staying here. It is in the heart of Seattle downtown and so there are many places to explore and eat-out. Starbucks is right across the street, so your morning caffeine dose can be quickly tended to! It is at a walk-able distance from pier 55, which means you can do a lot of fun water stuff. About the hotel management — Extremely nice and personable staff. They take care of your every need. I had stored some of my stuff with them during checking out. And the next time I checked-in, they had already put it back in my room! I have never seen such an attention to detail in any hospitality service before. Valet staff is quick, responsive and very respectful! Only word of advice — The lobby are is quite dark. I understand that it is a part of their theme, but it can definitely use some lighting up!

Great hotel rooms: clean, spacious, and comfortable. If this review was for the hotel only I would give it 5 stars. But in combining this review with their bar /lounge which docks it a couple stars. Drinks are outrageously expensive! Can of red bull $ 7! Jameson ginger ale and old fashion $ 30! Their prices are almost double what you pay anywhere else.

Had a great stay at the W. I was able to check in early with a nice room upgrade and got a lot of great sightseeing tips from Mykaela at the front desk. For my first visit to Seattle, I was a bit pressed for time, but I wanted to see as many highlights as I could in an afternoon. I followed Mykaela’s recommendations and had a great afternoon and evening! The hotel is very centrally located, a couple of blocks from the Monorail, Pike Place Market and waterfront, and fabulous restaurants are on every corner. Room service was excellent. Try some of the sushi rolls — they are both tasty and beautiful! This W is less«clubby» than some of the others. For instance, the W in London Leicester Square is a full on dance-party experience. Seattle’s is hip and much more mellow. Many thanks for the great stay! I’m looking forward to staying here again.

This place is getting a little dated. The rooms have original stuff In them form when this was built 20 years ago. It’s lost it’s spark a bit. The TVs look old, furniture is worn and doesn’t have the vibe it once had. Bummed about it.

ENVIRONMENT Like all W Hotels, this one has a cool contemporary vibe with a fully served lounge where people socialize. The restaurant here is Trace, which is sushi. A standard king bed room is nice with usually great city views, a couch, etc. The gym is also good. It has lot of cardio, free weights and some ab, leg and arm machines.

Had a great birthday stay. They put us in a corner room(best view)! The check in process was easy and the staff was so nice. The king bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and modern. They have great lobby music too(the XX and other bands like it) The bar, Trace, was also great for mimosas in the morning. The staff remembered and greeted us in the lobby every morning and even offered us umbrellas for the rain. They also let us keep our bags there when we checked out while we roamed the city before our flight. My favorite thing was noticing the small things like how they changed the«good morning» mat in the elevator to the«good evening» mat every night. It’s the little things! We left very satisfied, will definitely stay here when we go back!

Anniversary stay and what a disappointment. Besides the kind staff in such an awkward situation and a gorgeous lobby, the rest was just a mess. CHECKIN They thought we had already checked in — upon viewing our ID, they realized they had checked someone else with the same last name into our room. We waited a very long time in the lobby while they tried to figure out what to do with us and in the end, we had paid for 14th floor or above with a king sized bed, we were given neither. THEROOM It was nice but the walls were paper thin OMG! We could hear full conversations, doors slamming and woke up to people having loud sex.(good for them? LOL) Shocking for such a highly rated hotel! THEBIGISSUE My parents had sent a bottle of champagne to the room for our anniversary — I only found this out as they had called to ask me if I had received it as they hadn’t heard from me which they found odd. When I shared this with the hotel staff, they knew about it and assured me that my Mom was not charged and it was not delivered and they didn’t have her contact info. What’s weird is that she gave them her phone number and wanted it delivered at 6pm. ??? I’m not sure why the hotel didn’t just have a bottle delivered to us when we checked in, or in the morning with OJ? So many other little things went wrong such as our room key not working after having a drink at the bar, the drink I ordered wasn’t what I ordered, etc. It started almost becoming a joke! The staff was incredibly nice and tried their very best to make things right but we left feeling pretty awful.

Wow, hardly do I ever give a hotel a 5 star rating. But the W really surpassed my expectations(hopefully it doesn’t all crumble and burn in 2016 when when the Marriott machine contaminates the SPG well). I had fired up my SPG keyless experience and requested a 1300 check in time with late check out since I am SPG gold. To my surprise, the room was ready around 8am local time and the check in process was super smooth since I had a couple of questions regarding my reservation — but I could’ve skipped this altogether since my phone could’ve served as my room key. I had a little trouble getting my phone to work, but Zach was great and showed me how to use my phone — you need to proxy card/phone to use the elevator so that’s a nice touch for security purposes. I also explained that I might need to leave my bags at the front since I was unsure when I would be able to check out officially, but wanted to keep the room checked in case I was able to return to the hotel before the 4pm late check out. Zach asked me if a 530p check out time would work better and that was PERFECT. It let me leave everything in my room so that I didn’t have to worry about missing check out. So essentially I could have had the room from 8am to 530pm the next day. It’s REALLY nice to find a hotel that’s willing to work with you and there was no extra charge. As for the room, everything was as expected. Plenty of lighting, a decent 15th floor view, plenty of toiletries by Bliss, a robe if you’re feeling Hugh Hefner like, and a complimentary bottle of water of Dasani; BEWARE the smart waters are $ 4. I ordered some room service and continental breakfast since I had some credits with the hotel, it’s a little pricey and there’s a 23% surcharge(17% goes to the room service person) and a $ 4 delivery fee, but it only nominally increased my bill. The food arrived in the quoted time period and it tasted pretty basic(nothing spectacular, but it wasn’t bad). I’m so sad I only had a day to spend at this particular W, it was such a great experience I will most definitely make this #1 the next time I’m in Seattle.

What a luxurious, funky little hotel. I loved it from the time we entered the cool lobby until we hit the sack in our comfy room. Lobby is a nice place to sit and people watch on 4th ave, with its big fireplaces and comfy seats. It’s its own visual spectacle as well. The check in desk has a neat collection of art to enjoy while you’re being checked in by the very professional and friendly staff. They got is the kind of room we requested, even though we went through Priceline(we couldn’t normally stay at a place like this without serious discounts). The room itself was spacious. I loved the windowseat, a great place to read or look down on the city streets. Since our view was of a building, we didn’t get too much sun, but there was enough to brighten the room in the afternoon without glaring too early in the morning. The beds, a big focus for me as a sensitive sleeper, were excellent. Just the right balance of soft and firm, with plenty of pillows that seemed even if different fluffynesses. Cool bathroom, also room with a nice big tub. The water pressure wasn’t super high but good enough for me. And I loved the Bliss products. Fantastic touch(particularly the body butter). The room was clean, and the cleaning staff did a nice job. Granted, we left the room by ten and when we came back at three, it hadn’t been cleaned, but they did a good job when we asked after leaving for dinner. All in all, a gem, and we’d go back there again, if the price is right.

These beds are smaller than my my bed at home. Two full for $ 599+ night. When I call. That’s all they have. Can I R least get a queen. Nope. I tell them I will review one star so here you go well deserved one star review of a crap hotel that’s over priced. Starwood you should know better and have better customer service. The hotel lobby was typical for the W. Decent drinks with a happening scene on the weekends especially. The rooms of the hotel were just meh. The bathrooms were old inside and the tiling was discolored. Room is a bit on the small side. While I initially thought I liked the bed due to it being so soft, I woke up with a sore back. Definitely not the most kid friendly hotel, not that I was expecting it to be. There is a kids menu for room service and they do offer cribs to use during your stay, but there is no pool and the lobby isn’t the most appropriate place for a kid to be running around. The hardest part was walking into the lobby late evening on a Friday with the music pumping and having to put my toddler daughter to bed in our meh hotel room. In my younger days I would’ve stopped by the bar for a drink without hesitation. Front desk was great and the concierge was helpful. Parking was a whooping $ 61/night for valet at the hotel. There was also an option to self park in a garage just a block away for $ 40/night. Location was perfect if you are new to Seattle. Pike place market is about a 10 minute walk away. Public transportation was all right there. My husband and I got tired of walking on our last day and walked a few blocks to the monorail, one stop away was the Glassworks Museum(highly recommended).

Going Down… hill. The W used to be a first rate in place to stay but seems to be slipping. We stayed in a corner room for 3 nights at the end of July and were dissatisfied. –At $ 350 per night we expected great accommodations. –Only 1 bath robe was supplied for two guests. –We left the room at 9:30AM after our first night and returned 6 hours later to find the room uncleaned. My partner ran down a member of the cleaning staff who tidied up while we sat around. There is no coffee maker in the room, I am guessing that the management feels that fixing hot drinks in the room is déclassé but that would be far preferable to the 45+ minute wait for coffee to be delivered by room service. Disgruntled

W’s are always hit or miss. This one a miss at the moment. At this price point shouldn’t be the case but there you go *Mold on the shower curtain. Really? *Room was«tired» with big gouges in the furniture. *Difficult to get the front desk on the phone. «Special number» given on a business card by your check-in person didn’t work. Card was cheap in appearance. Plus: Food in the main resto. was perfect. Valet guys were pleasant.

You cannot beat the location. It is walking distance to Pioneer Square, Pike Place, the Monorail and a handful of shops. It is in safe neighborhood. There were many people walking about when we walked the neighborhood around 11 pm. The lobby is definitely modern and trendy as most W hotels are. Our room was on the 25th floor. If you can, request a room that has a view of the Space Needle, the ocean or Mt. Ranier. Our room faced the freeway. I think this W has had better days. The walls and desk had nicks, and the bed skirts were frayed. Aside from that, it had a nice window couch and a very spacious desk unit. Unfortunately, the water pressure in the shower was weaker than ideal, and the water temperature was lukewarm. At a certain point, the elevator was not working. We called and were told that they were taking care of the situation. We discovered it was fixed without a call back from the front desk. We had a room credit and breakfast vouchers, so we ate at their hotel restaurant Trace twice. Details in a separate review.

Great hotel. Have stayed at many W hotels and never had any issues. Both times we have been to Seattle we stayed at the W Seattle hotel downtown. It is in a perfect location, close to everything you want to see and most things are walking distance. I had a package sent to the hotel and they were so helpful with having it delivered to our room once we arrived. Definitely would recommend this W hotel and will be coming back! Thank you W!
