Clams — THERE’S BACON! This is more like a clam stew, it’s amazing and a must try.

Food was good and the server was very nice. He was also very helpful with beer selection. We went on a non game day and the place was not very busy. But it was a plus for us because we were able to have a conversation with our server.

Wow is this place good. I went here with some co-​workers as we were winding down from the busy day we had at work. All I can say is what a pleasant surprise. To say I was impressed is putting it mildly. Great food. Great service. Great value for your money. I ordered the steamed mussels from the happy hour menu and it was so much I got too full to eat my wonderful steak I ordered. I ended up sharing the steak with my co-​workers. And oh, so many french fries with my steak… I had a great time.
My only complaint is I ordered my steak medium and it was not. It was too done for medium. I did not inform the staff nor did I send it back. I just wanted to split it up so I could head to the airport to make my flight.

Lots of great bar food options here like nachos, quesadillas, hummus and cheese plates, etc. The bar is huge and spacious. They also have private rooms for work events or meetings.

Elysian Fields is A-​OK.
I had dinner there once and it was fine. Nothing extraordinary to write home to mom about, but it satisfied my need for food before getting on a long red-​eye flight home. No real complaints, but it didn’t jump out at me as a place I would go out of my way to visit on my next trip to Seattle.

We went with 14 people and they were really rude. They did not want to serve us as they said we sat in a table that they were not ready to serve. They said u have get ur own beer which we ended up doing but choose not to have dinner there. We work in a office close by and have lots of people from our office going there. Everyone was shocked by how bad the customer service was.

This spot is excellent for century link or safeco field pre/​post-​game drinking… not much else, I suppose.
The drink options are plenty (they also have a full bar) but the atmosphere and price aren’t necessarily the best.
The atmosphere is chic/​modern with indoor fireplaces, dim lighting, fancy furniture, and wooden barrels separating sections. It makes you feel like you should have dressed up a bit to attend. Certainly not matching your sounders jersey and hoodie.
The prices are a bit high and also seem to be geared to a crowd that probably won’t be attending most weekends.
I’ll give it another go and try it with more time and patience… but so far, it seems like a weekday, nice dinner joint– with expensive food.

Let’s get to the point. This place is good probably more reasonable to come in on a non-​game day due to its location. The place is clean and immaculate in my opinion as it can be.
Now the concept of the cocktails did not work for me. I have tried 3 different cocktails and I only 1 was executed right. It was either too sweet or too strong. I would recommend the ginger Bellini. Obviously that being said, the cocktails were overpriced for the execution of the drinks. I would just get water or a beer if I ever come back to this establishment.
The food is spot on, I asked for specific cooking temps and they delivered. The service was good to great. And the ambiance of the restaurant was nice calm. The music wasn’t too loud. A nice place to actually just «chill».
The only thing that concerns me is that we got the food and the drinks and it took us a few minutes to get our silverware which would mainly affect the food’s temp. And on our way out, two of the employees were facing the back and flirting with each other.
So those were the only missed points on this place. The poor execution of the drinks and what we saw on the way out.

Came here for drinks before a Mariner’s game and enjoyed hanging out so much we barely wanted to leave to go to the game. I blame the Redbull vodka’s which felt surprisingly more refreshing than at other places — I think it’s their specialty cups that do it for me. Will probably continue to hit this place up before future Mariner games from now on. Brewery is good for groups and has plenty of standing room at the bar which is nice when all the seats are full and you don’t feel like you are imposing on other people’s space.

This place is OK. It’s a pre-​game spot certainly but has an odd vibe. It’s a little more «fancy» (darkly light & sophisticated). I think it’d have better success if it was a little more welcoming.
Happy Hour is pretty good, staff is attentive, obviously great beer selection. Food menu is a little «hoity toity» with small bites but jeez, I love their pickled herring!

Second time in the last few weeks coming for lunch… its close and they have a patio, such as it is… but its just so blah otherwise… service was decent, except that my lunch companion wasn’t offered refills when his soda and water hit empty… food always feels like it takes too long… their one bright spot in my meal was the fries, the fries are legit… but I had the Italian sandwich and to me its a step up from Subway… the bread wasn’t as good either… I know its artisan bread and all that… but is that just a fancy way of saying «kind of stale»…
Also on a side note, brought my dog and wanted to sit out side and tie his leash up to their patio railing… hostess told me that was a no no… BUT, I had come previously for beers and done the same exact thing… the bouncer working that day brought my dog a water bowl… so, yeah, can we get some consistency on that policy as well please?
I’ll continue to come back out of convenience and proximity and good beer… but its not the food and service that stands out here, that’s for sure…

Excellent food and beer with great fast service to get you into the game with time to spare! I’ve been here a few times now and have been surprised by some of the reviews. I’ve always been happy with my food and find it hard to complain about reasonably priced food and drink so close to the stadium/​field. The most recent time I was there I had the mushroom ravioli — yum! See the photo for the evidence!
My friends had burgers and the pasta bolognese and said they were equally pleased. This restaurant/​bar really knows how to get people in and out of there in a timely manner and with a smile on their faces. This is definitely my first choice for food the next time I’m down here for a game. I had the amber ale last time but have many more on the list I’d like to try!

This place is huge, and a great meeting point before any game or concert at the Clink, Wamu, etc. Though you still need to get here fairly early, if there is a game going on (mainly Seahawks) you could end up waiting for a decent amount of time for a table.
Great beer selection, but for such an extensive place such as this, their menu kind of sucks… Now I hate to say that cause I do love Elysian… But I feel that the menu has not changed since I was back in college (almost 8 years ago). I may be wrong, but it’s also the same items that can be found at their cap hill location. You would think the Elysian Fields would at least have a few more items, and would change things up a bit after a few years. Regardless, it’s still a pretty cool place, but like I said, I doubt I’d need to come to this location unless there is an event around the area.

A long-​established brewpub, part of a local chain, located in the shadow of the Mariners’ Safeco Field. I arrived to a nearly empty room while the game was going on; it filled up rapidly after the game ended. Sampler assortments are not offered on game days.

Beers tried:
— Elysian «The Immortal» IPA, 6.3% ABV, 54 IBU. (The name is a reference to Zeus; someone connected with the operation obviously has classical interests, as reflected in both the name of the brewery and a number of their beer names.) Medium copper, light head, weak hop nose. The taste has a solid malt base, but seems a little short on hops for an IPA. Long bitter fade. Very drinkable, but a little off-​style to my taste.
— Elysian Space Dust IPA 8.2%, 73 IBU. Almost clear medium gold, light head. Piney and bitter hop nose and taste, well-​balanced against a strong malt base with not a hint of sweetness. Long bitter fade. Hop bill is Chinooks in the boil, with dry additions of Citra and Amarillo.
— Elysian Glam Reaper IPA. 7.1%. Cloudy orange-​copper, medium head. Floral hop and sweet malt nose, and a hint of mango. «Chewy» mouth-​feel; front is tropical fruit, fading to a bitter citrus note. Hop bill includes Bavarian Mandarina and Yakima Valley Equinox.
— Elysian Dayglow IPA. 6.5%, ca. 65 IBU. Medium gold, heavy head. Nose bitter hops, «cat pee,» citrus, «pencil shavings.» Sweet malt and bittering hops dominate the taste; well-​balanced. Mosaic hops; also some piney notes (Eldorado? Centennial?) This would make a good session IPA.
— Elysian «The» Beer 3000. 6.1%. Cloudy medium gold, medium head. Almot no nose. Front is is weak malt and… shrimp? (That last may have been the contribution of an order of calamari down the bar.)
— –Snoqualmie Brewing Co. IPA. Medium copper, medium head. Minimal nose. Pretty good bitter hop front; malt base seems thin.
— Sound Brewing Co., Poulsbo, WA. Ursus Spelaeus («Cave Bear») Belgian-​style stout. Opaque dark brown, light head. Nose mostly sweet malt. «Chewy» chocolate-​caramel malt front, long sweet malt fade.

Great location for a pit stop before or after a game/​event at either Safeco or Century Link field. It gets decently crowded during events but the bar does an awesome job at moving people in and out to get drinks.
Large open atmosphere with music always playing.
Also a «restaurant» area you can be seated in to enjoy so great food as well.
Big island bar, friendly staff, and even a special events room that can be reserved for a large party.
Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quick, decently priced drink, good food, and a lively atmosphere.

I usually don’t make mistakes such as the following one. Let me explain. I will never order steak at a Vegan restaurant, or Arugula Salad at Ruth’s Chris. By the same token, seafood at a Falafel stand, or Buffalo Wings at an Ice Cream Parlor. And yet, as a born and raised Middle Eastern guy, something inside me forced me to order the Oasis Plate. Oasis, as defined is a «fertile spot in a desert where water is found». Indeed, I should have stuck to the water.
The Oasis Plate is an interesting quasi combination of Middle Eastern foods. Hummus and Baba Ghanouj are common in Middle Eastern restaurants, and is usually craved by yours truly. It doesn’t really work with cheese of any kind, certainly not Feta. Cucumbers are OK, but olives not really. What was certainly unexpected is for the little red peppers, and the grilled pitta to be the most flavorful part of the meal. So here’s the deal. First and foremost, when the person you are having lunch with asks which of the piles is the Hummus, and which is the Babaghanouj, it’s not a good sign. When you are not sure what the answer is, it’s even worse. But it’s really really bad when you’re not even sure after you have tasted them both. More than once. To top it off, I have a strange feeling that both have been sitting in some refrigerator for a while.
However, this isn’t the first time I had lunch at Elysian. And the two other times were actually very good. So I will be hard on myself rather than on the restaurant and suggest the following: eggplant ciabatta: yes, quiche of the day: yes, Oasis Plate: no. If you (or for that matter I) crave Middle Eastern food of any kind, do yourself a favor: go elsewhere, including Costco. Costco’s Hummus and Babaghanouj (why for heaven’s sake have you stopped selling that mouthwatering Babaghanouj???) are orders of magnitude better than Elysian’s.
I rarely leave food in my plate. This time, it was more than half full.

The fries are good.
The veggie sandwiches are not.
They have outdoor seating.
But it is beside the garbage dumpsters.
Took way too long to get our check over lunch, when people need to return to work.

Elysian Fields is a great spot to go to if you want decent food for less than stadium prices before a game. The wait was surprisingly quick 1 hour before the game.
The beers here leave a lot to be desired. I’ve never been a big Elysian fan, they all have kind of the same hoppy, hard to swallow taste. I had an ESB and the Superfuzz. They don’t offer pitchers on game day, however. The beers here are $ 6 which is way less than inside the stadium, so that’s how i managed to drink my least favorite beer.
The food here was definitely not what I was expecting. I was thinking it was going to be your typical bar food. It wasn’t! There were a lot of pasta dishes and salads. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was really good, there was just too much bun to eat. It also came with a house salad which was really good with balsamic salad dressing and blue cheese.
The service was also good. We got our food quickly and had plenty of time to spare for getting into the stadium. I’m sure since it was game day they know people want to get in and out quicker.
When I go to another game I would probably stop by here again!

I have to say I am apprehensive to every go back here, based on the service alone. I have been here a few times, and each time the staff has been slow with orders and rude to our table. But this last time I went with a group, even before we sat down, the hostess at the front almost made want to walk out the door. We asked for a table outside for eight; she said «absolutely not» then when we asked if we could do eight inside she was still rude and said «no we don’t do that.» (Given the restaurant was relatively empty at this point.) So when we did go to sit our party down she let us know «we better not be adding and more people to the table.» Wow, I was blown away. I understand if you cannot accommodate that many people, but please try and be a little more courteous.
The when one member of our party came late and tried to join she about ripped him a new one. We told him we were sorry, but he was more taken about by how threatening she was for adding someone to the table. This made the whole experience uncomfortable for everyone.
The sad thing is this isn’t the first instance of bad service I have experienced here o heard from others.

Elysian is the finest brewer in WA in my opinion. Yes, they are now owned by AB, but this, my friends is amazing beer. Wonderful selection of IPAs! On this visit we had Avatar IPA, Savant IPA and Dry-​Hopped Loser — all were amazing!
For food we enjoyed the steamer clams with BACON. Amazing! They only brought two tiny pieces of toast, so go ahead and ask for extra when you order. The broth is delish!
We also had the Jerk Chicken Satay — these were just okay — the jerk was a bit bland and the chicken a bit overcooked. Not bad, though.
Great place to come before a Mariners or Seahawks game! Especially if you love a good fresh local beer. Cheers!
