These are my favorite cookies. And that’s saying something — I freaking love cookies! My wife is allergic to gluten and soy and, it seems, corn. And she can have these cookies! Which means I can have these cookies! I stumbled across Skydottir Epic Cookies when I was attending a conference at the Seattle convention center and stopped into the coffee shop on the fourth floor. I paid for my drink, and while the barista was making it I noticed this jar of cookies on the counter. Oh, gluten free? Ah, but I’m sure the chocolate chips have soy… no? Holy cow! I bought one, ate it, and loved it. The next day, I bought one for me and one for my wife. The next day I found myself having lunch at Biscuit Bitch… and what do you know, more Skydottir Epic Cookies! Another pair purchased. For dinner, I was down in Redmond at AFK Elixirs and Eatery… and holy cow, they have Skydottir, too! Woo hoo! I miss being in Seattle now. I plan to experiment with having cookies shipped to me in Colorado pretty soon. Yeah, I’m an unabashed Skydottir fanboy. What a great find!

Best gluten free cookies I’ve found. Agreed that you’ll love them even if you’re not gluten free. Just great cookies plain and simple.

Best cookies I’ve had, hands down. Soft, delicious… and animal-free. Also, the lady who makes these? SUCH a sweetheart when I called to ask if there was a whole Skydottir shop. There isn’t, but I love stumbling across these at coffee shops and the like. I wonder if there will ever be soy-free cookies like these…

These are amazing cookies. These are NOT amazing gluten free cookies or vegan cookies. No, these are out of this world gluten free cookies, and unbelievably delicious vegan cookies. But stack these next to your finest egg-filled wheat-ridden cookies, and these would still win. These are amazing cookies.

Wait, delicious, soft gluten-free cookies? That don’t taste gritty or overly sweet or pretending to be anything but cookies? Yes, please. I was very pleased to find these at Trabant. I do wish the Skydottir website was a little more, well, useful.

I had a free sample of the chocolate chip cookie today at Madison Market. It was soooo good! Because I have celiac and a dairy allergy, I don’t stumble upon fresh cookies that I can eat that often, let alone a sample in a store that I can actually eat(!!). They were nicely sized, not so small I felt deprived but not so big that I felt overly indulgent. They were plump, flavorful, and chewy. I bake a lot– but I’ll definitely be going to the bakery to get treats now too :)

Alright, let me just get it out of the way now. I am a raving dork for these cookies. Everything you’re about to read is just me, being gross and infomercialish and I won’t stop so don’t try to make me. Okay, so you like chocolate-chip cookies, right? I mean, unless you’re severely deficient or made of wood or something. It’s just part of the human DNA to like chocolate-chip cookies. It’s also part of the human DNA to be able to tell the difference between a homemade chocolate-chip cookie and one of the pre-packaged, factory variety(I don’t know how they bake cardboard into store bought cookies without setting them on fire but wow, do they ever!). I can’t taste anything un-homemade about these cookies! Perhaps because they are made locally by a person. They are indisputably delicious. Chewy, sweet and salty and the chocolate melts in your mouth. Okay, first paragraph over. Now, let’s talk about the health shit: soooooo these cookies are healthy. Like, healthier than most things you eat. They are gluten-free, vegan, made with natural, healthy sugars and 90% organic ingredients. You do not feel sleepy and sad twenty minutes after eating one. You do not notice your tummy immediately plumping up like a steering wheel airbag full of wheat flour because there isn’t any. All this and you got to eat something really, really yummy that didn’t crumble into a sand pile in your mouth. Victory. Buy these cookies for your friends. Show them what a happy gluten-free, vegan eating experience can be like so we can give the whole movement the good name it deserves. Everyone I have forced to try Skydottir Epic Cookies has loved them and I will be buying a bunch for my little ten year old brother who has Celiac’s tonight. Let’s all start making good tasting food work for us instead of against us. Thank you for your time.

These cookies do not need any excuses! They do not need to say, ‘oh, but I am gluten free.’ or ‘oh, but I don’t have eggs.’ They are too delicious for anyone to even guess that they are gluten free or vegan. Really. My mom, who normally ‘politely’ questions and refuses my food ate them up! My non gluten-free husband really wanted the last one, but felt really guilty for taking it from me. This is a great local business who goes beyond gluten free and vegan by using healthy and sustainable ingredients. You can have something delicious without all of the processed crap that is all too often in our food.
