What is threading?

Threading is a unique hair removal technique that is the most accurate way to remove unwanted facial hair, it is an ancient and natural beauty technique that began in the Middle East, Nepal, India and China centuries ago.

Threading is considered to be less painful, more precise and longer lasting than waxing or plucking. It is also good for any skin type.

Our multiple salon locations are specialized in eyebrow threading, shaping and removing the unwanted facial hair via cotton thread since 2012.

Visited this salon for the first time and loved it! Not only do they do a great job with eyebrows, they genuinely care and make sure you are happy with your service. Will definitely come here again next time I’m in Seattle!

Got my eyebrows done here a few times. They always turn out well. Plus the lady who does it, is so quick! I’m usually done with eyebrows and upperlips in 5min as opposed to about 10−15min at any other place. And there is no compromise on the quality.
It’s a small place and there’s usually just one person but since she’s so quick i’ve never had to wait more than about 5min. The membership options are great and affordable (and give you 50% off on waxing). I’m a little skeptical about waxing there cos the room has a large window opening out to the rest of the building. Sure there are curtains but there’s also a curtain that divides the room in 2, and when someone enters or exits, you do wonder if people outside can see.

I’ve been a happy customer of Shanti salon in cap hill for the past two years but due two very poor customer experience from the girl managing the salon today (not sure if she was new but it was my first time seeing her) I decided to take my business somewhere else going forward.
First, my 5 pm waxing appointment wasn’t honored. I got there prior to 5 and at 5:20 i was asked to wait some more so they can service another client with a 5:15 appointment. I said I can’t wait because I have another commitment and also bc I had a 5pm appt. and I should be taken care of before the 5:15 one. The answer was incredible: i was «punished» because earlier in the day I DARED to reschedule from 3 to 5pm. What???
Second, I had 2 sessions left on my membership for eyebrow threading but the pass expired last month. What do you think happened next… Well I had to pay the full one off price of $ 25, even though I had those 2 sessions left — no exception!
Shanti Salon– I hope you’re putting those $ 25 to good use because they’re the last ones you got from me!

Yahhhhhhssss. Finally somewhere close that does threading at a really affordable price. They also have coupon sort of deal where you buy your threading in advance for $ 75 and have 6 months to use it. Definitely saves you money if you habitually go to the salon. Also, free parking on Sundays makes it relatively easy to get in. However, it is near a very popular brunch place so be aware. I usually don’t have to wait too long before being helped. It seems that there is only 1 worker so just keep that in mind. She’s super friendly and nice.

Good, fast and friendly. Be specific on your eyebrows though if you have a preference — they tend to take them thinner than many (including me) like and/​or different placement/​extremity of arch. I have eyebrows, lip and chin done, the 6 month/​6 visit package is very reasonably priced. Wait is usually very quick.

I don’t know the name of this particular employee coz they don’t wear name tags, but there was this just one person at the parlor today and she somehow fucks up every single time. Previously I came in with my friends and she did their threading and they never came back. Luckily, today was my first time with her and yea, she did manage to screw up my eyebrows too. I don’t understand, why is still employed? I have been visiting this place for over 2 years now, this employee has been with them since the time I began.

Shanti did a great job threading my eyebrows, as expected. If you haven’t bought the Unilocal deal yet, just tell her you intend on using the Unilocal deal and she will give you the discounted price without you actually buying it. Doesn’t make any difference on our end as the consumer but the business probably benefits because of the lack of commission. Will definitely visit again.

I was pretty hesitant to get my eyebrows threaded from a new place as I’ve had some pretty horrifying (and overpriced) experiences. I’m so happy to say that my experience here was great– No extreme pain or prices! My eyebrows look great and my wallet is happy too :) I’ll definitely be back!

This place was 100% GREAT! The staff was professional, quick, & above all my eyebrows look amazing.
This is the first time I’ve had my eyebrows threaded because I had a bad experience before in a salon with some waxing my eyebrows so was turned off to the idea of anyone but me styling my browns. I did my research & found a lot of reviews (mostly good) and decided to go to this location. The lady that did them was very nice (Didn’t catch her name) and am going to be going back because of the results, Im more than impressed.
If you want a good place to get your eyebrows done I recommend this location because of the results & wonderful staff! :]

A great find. Their hours are great; they’re efficient and their work is spectacular. It was such an easy sell after searching the town for a good place. Booking was hassle free and I was in and out in less than twenty minutes. Great work and lovely service.

The service is definitely good for the price, especially with the membership card. The capitol hill location is perfect for those living in downtown/​first hill and the salon is small but very clean.
Fair warning though they make mistakes sometimes but are quick to correct it if you catch it before heading out the door. So make sure to check thoroughly when they give you the mirror :)

It was my first time threading. It was not as painful as I expected it to be. After I walked inside and sat down the lady who was going to thread my brow was already ready. It took her less than 5 minutes to do it. She did a really nice job. It’s a good option if you are in a hurry. Threading my eyebrows was only $ 15, which is not bad at all. I’m glad to say that I would probably be coming back here again. I recommend this to all of my friends and they seemed to like it as well!

I came here today and while the ladies were sweet, unfortunately the eyebrow threading job wasn’t to my liking. I was very specific that I didn’t want them thin as I’ve been growing them out (and that takes a long time), but she still ended up thinning out my brows :(I should have said something at the salon but felt bad. I also feel bad giving a mediocre review because they were nice but I feel like I owe my fellow Unilocalers the truth.
