History
Established in 2015.
Salted Sea opened in Spring 2015 upon a historical site that dates back to 1905 when the original structure was a friendly neighborhood barbershop and poolroom. Since then, the building has been home to several local businesses over the years with the most recent being Angie’s Tavern, who served Columbia City residents from 1985 until 2011. The original structure has since been replaced. Owner Huy Tat (who also owns and operates Chinese noodle house Hue Ky Mi Gia) and executive chef Allyss Taylor are following suit to keep local business in Columbia City alive and to serve the best of Seattle seafood to the 98 118.
We are a family-owned and community-oriented restaurant whose menu is crafted and influenced by roots stemming from both sides of the vast Pacific Ocean — Vietnam and the Pacific Northwest.
