Top tier brass instrument workman. Does simple repairs efficiently and neatly, very clean solder work. Has extensive knowledge of brass instruments and the people who made them.
His valve alignments and mouthpiece tuning is very worthwhile for more advanced trumpeters, and when he sells a trumpet, it plays!

If you’re looking to get any work done on a brass instrument, particularly a trumpet, this should be the only place you go anywhere near Seattle. I’ve taken my trumpet to a variety of other brass repair shops in the greater Seattle area, and none of them have the experience and expertise that Mike does. He’s a great guy to work with, and he was able to identify issues with my trumpet and it has never played better than it does now. Highly reccomended.

Mike was very nice to work with and the price was right. I did not have him do any brass work but instead had woodwind work done, which was sent out, and the turnaround was just a day.
This is a working brass shop, not just a drop-​off or a music studio, though there are a number of business card references that can be picked up here.
