Bottom line: we will stay here again.

Had a great stay. Clean comfortable rooms. Fridge and microwave. The Starbucks coffee in the room is a bonus and the bag of microwave popcorn came in handy.
Close to the Space needle and plenty of great food within a short walk. Grocery/​drug store a block and a half away in case you forget something.

This hotel is simply one of the best I have stayed in at this price point. We payed less than $ 600 for 4 nights including a weekend. This was booked almost at the last minute when we decided we wanted to be closer to the city instead of staying at an airbnb in Renton. It was a GREAT decision!
We didn’t have a car, so thankfully we didn’t experience any negativity there like other reviewers. The location is such that you don’t really need a car unless you’re leaving the city. We took public transit and über during our stay. Über drivers are everywhere in the area, and outside of surge times around 5pm the price is very reasonable and less than renting a car.
The front desk staff was very friendly and polite, especially Cassie who helped check us in. I’m surprised to see many Unilocalers had bad experiences with the front desk staff, maybe we just got lucky? They gave us a few options for rooms and even told us we could switch to a king room for free on the second night of our stay when one became available. We ended up staying in our queen room facing the street with a view of the space needle. We didn’t experience any noise issues at all which was a bit surprising, I was definitely prepared for some noise.
The wifi is free and actually usable unlike many other hotels I’ve stayed in. The umbrellas they had to borrow were definitely useful, we used them every day. We didn’t use the bikes, but it was nice to have the option.
The Starbucks downstairs is very convenient, we were in a rush on the last day to catch our flight and were happy we didn’t have to skip breakfast since we could just have Starbucks on the way out. Yes, they don’t offer free breakfast. Honestly, how many hotels actually have a GOOD free breakfast especially in this price range? I can’t even think of one. We also loved having Starbucks coffee & Tazo tea available in our room as well, and they made sure it was restocked every day.
The little shelf in the bathroom is a little inconvenient and the tub is a little bit small, but I just chose to get ready in the kitchenette area instead (there is a mirror over the sink in the kitchenette). I have no complaints about the room. The bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve had in a hotel and there were plenty of blankets and comfy pillows provided. The AC & heater both worked fine. The room was clean when we came in and was cleaned again every day while we were out. The housekeeping staff was really nice when we encountered them too.
Overall, I have no complaints and would highly recommend this hotel. Obviously other folks have had issues with the parking, so take that into consideration. You might also consider other parking options in the area, as we saw many garages with reasonable rates.
If you stay, make sure you try Toulouse Petit down the street (recommended by the front desk staff). We had two fantastic breakfasts there, don’t miss the breakfast happy hour :)

Horrible customer service. Called to cancel reservation two hours past their 6:00 cutoff due to death of family member. Unwilling to accept late cancellation, charged rate higher than booked, charged additional person fee, and taxes.

We liked this hotel for our three night stay in Seattle. If your time is limited in the city, this is a great option. The hotel is within walking distance of some excellent restaurants and quaint coffee shops. Parking is around $ 18/​night and be advised to drive very slowly out of the garage as there is a steep incline. We rented a car but after trying to deal with parking in the city on the first day, we found that it was easier to just walk and take the bus everywhere. The hotel is very close to the bus stop and about a 10 minute walk to the Space Needle. It felt like we were in a fairly safe area in the neighborhood of Queen Anne.
The hotel let us check in a little early the afternoon we arrived and even upgraded us to a slightly larger room for no extra charge (nice surprise). Get a higher floor away from the street if you don’t want the street noise as some of the buses and occasional loud cars/​motorcycles going by (we had second floor). Liked the additional sink and mirror outside of the bathroom for ease of getting ready in the morning. After our room was cleaned on two occasions, we returned to stronger than normal smell of air freshener, but our rooms were clean so no complaints there. Thankfully we could open the windows and let the smell out.
The hotel had decent amenities. We enjoyed the complimentary coffee and tea downstairs. The coffee was burned one afternoon but that’s a little understandable since it was later in the day. There is a Starbucks literally attached to the hotel so one could also make the argument that there was not a lack of options. There was a gym, but my husband and I being fitness-​minded, we found it was a little small and we wish it had free weights. The best part of the hotel was the rooftop view! We took some excellent photos of the Space Needle and Seattle waterfront from there. Overall, the price was reasonable for the great location of this hotel.

An ok place to stay (we had rides from friends and relatives so didn’t use the parking) in a great location. Hotel has small workout room, business center, vending machine room and coin laundry — and nothing else. Besides the adjacent Starbucks there are 2 supermarkets and a drugstore nearby and plenty of restaurants from cheap to gourmet dining. Bathroom lacked a vanity countertop and had just a narrow shelf for our toiletries. For 2 of us, there wasn’t much room for our luggage, clothes, laptops etc. This would be a good place if you get a nice deal (it was included in the conference we attended) but I’d prefer a place with more amenities.

When we first got our room, I thought it was a little small. Realizing that we are in the city, that is how it is, I suppose. This is a noisy location — continues until early hours in the morning (you are nearly downtown, after all). Free wifi (slow), and underground parking is pricey at $ 18/​day.
Speaking of parking … the check-​in person who helped us seemed to be having a really bad day. He apologized for his computer having to reboot, and just ignored us the entire time while it was available to him. Meanwhile, we just looked around to see what everyone else was doing. *yawn* Front desk is RUDE (wish I read from other Unilocalers first!!)
Finally we get our room keys and mumbles something about where to park, We drove around the block a couple of times (real fun in commute hour and one way streets). We called the hotel from our car and got someone more friendly who helped us – even offered to come out and show us if needed. We found the garage and we were pleased that the garage was gated.
Now for the bad news. When leaving the garage we went up the steep incline and scraped along the underside of the car quite severely. Should we stop (and have the gate close on us!), back-​up (and possibly dislodge something) or continue driving? We chose to continue driving up the incline, scraping for some distance :(((My car is a standard stock late model Nissan — normal height clearance. NEVER did we see ANY signs posted about low clearance or suggestions to turn, how to exit, NOTHING. THIS IS AN ATROCITY. I did a quick check for damage and all seemed to be okay. However, I will be going to my local dealer this week to have everything checked out in the mean time. I have NEVER had this happen before. I would have expected this if the car was non-​stock and lowered. But not in a traditional family sedan!
I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE YOU NOT TO PARK YOUR CAR HERE. The hotel is mediocre, at best. Parking here is NOT recommended.
We will stay elsewhere on our next visit!

09/​22/​2015 Update. Having now seen how this hotel operates and treats its customers with lack of follow-​up or concern, I would have given this place zero stars, or even negative stars if I could! I find it hard to believe the lack of concern from the management about my vehicle. The hotel management seems to think I should be thankful that I have a garage to park my car. Now this raises a new concern — is the area so bad that one must park their car in a secure garage? I think it is ABSURD that Sheila/​Inn Manager would say «it isn’t something we force our guests to use». That sounds like a really sarcastic comment. What are they hiding? Perhaps they are hiding the fact that they KNOW this to be an issue with some cars, then wipe their hands clean saying it doesn’t happen with 34 000 guests annually. Sounds like someone is trying to get some advertisement in at my expense! It is true I do not HAVE to park here, and had I known that I would incur DAMAGE to my car, I never would have spent a moment here. Furthermore, it is evident that with the management NOT DENYING such an issue exists (low clearance) that such case DOES exist (there is also no denying that the check-​in staff need to be more customer focused!). THE FACT IS THIS: The incline to get out of the garage is VERY steep and then levels off quickly. It IS an ATROCITY (and I do not use that word lightly, despite Sheila’s sarcasm) of the lack of concern by this hotel, and I hope that my review brings a SIGNFICANT ISSUE to future customers’ attention. We will definitely be back in Seattle, but I rather sleep in the street than spend even a dime at this place. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
To say that this never happens, Sheila is obviously out of touch with reality. There is a review of this Inn from «Megan R» on 1÷12÷2015 where exactly the same thing happened to her car — SAME KIND OF CAR AS MINE:
«I have no complaints about the hotel besides the garage parking. It was horrible. I drive a Nissan altima. My boyfriend and I went to the emp. And on our way out of th he garage my car got stuck on the incline and scrapped my frame horribly bad. We were charged $ 18 a day for parking. We spoke to the front clerk and apologized and offered to refund us for parking as well as notify the manager if any physical damage was done so can be compensated for the damages.»

Excellent customer service. Perhaps not as upscale as some higher priced options but for the price it was an excellent hotel. They do everything to make your stay great. Beds are comfy and clean and rooms on floors 4 – 6 have great views. We had a view of both the space needle and the water from our 4^th floor room. Neighborhood also offers some good and off the beaten path restaurant choices and easy access to the space needle and all that area has to offer. On a rainy Sunday morning we also really appreciated the Starbucks in the lobby with nice rainy Seattle street views. Our 7 year old also really liked the complimentary popcorn in our room.
Upgrading review from 4 to 5 stars due to the free bike rentals! Definitely a great economical option.

We stayed here for 5 days before our cruise to Alaska. It is centrally located with a two block walk to the park that houses the Space Needle, EMP museum and the Chihuly Gardens. It is a half hour walk to Pike’s Market if you are adventurous. The restaurants nearby are good and not too expensive.
The beds (and pillows) are very comfortable. The rooms are quiet and very clean. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. There is a rooftop garden with a 360 view of Seattle that is perfect to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. There is no breakfast, but there is a Starbucks in the hotels and coffee and flavored water is always available. Probably one of the nicest, staff and hotel itself, we have stayed in. Great stay.

Stayed here in early June. The checking in and checking out process was very easy and the staff was friendly. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. We went up to the rooftop at night and really enjoyed the view and were able to sit on the lounge chairs up there and enjoy a bottle of wine. We were close enough to walk to the Monorail station which is another plus. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re not looking to spend a lot of money, but still appreciate a nice and clean hotel.

A simple hotel that provides lodging, a fitness center, parking, beverages in the lobby, and a great view of Seattle.
The staff was pleasant and the room was simple as well. The room has a kitchenette which is a nice addition to it and the bed was pretty comfortable. I was lucky enough to get a room that was facing outside the building so I had a nice view of Safeway and the parking lot behind the hotel.
During my stay I was frustrated with the lack of parking spaces they had. The spaces are compact and there wasn’t enough for everyone who was staying that weekend. I called the hotel and asked them for suggestions. They said to park on the street because it was free until Monday (Sunday it’s free parking). I mean if I paid for the I should have a spot right? They should do assigned parking spots so you know what douchebag took up 2 spots.
But other than that no complaints and it’s a budget friendly hotel that’ll serve your purposes while in Seattle.

Although the hotel does not have a restaurant (other than a Starbucks) the restaurant options in the neighborhood are amazing. Cajun, Mexican, Greek, Irish Pubs, and pizza. 15 –20 minute walk into the downtown core. And really close to the space needle.

I stayed here recently for spring break with my boyfriend. (March 29-​april 3). It was a lot nicer than we expected it to be.
Our room 416 was clean when we checked in. There was a kitchenette, safe, and iron. The room was the perfect size for 2.
*The only complaint would be about our noisy neighbors the last night we were there. And the water was off that same night, i believe there was a flood.

This place was a gem of a find! My hubby found this place using
the hotel wasn’t full so we got upgraded. The view from our room was nice. The room was clean. The coffee and popcorn was very nice to have in the room too. The roof top view at night was amazing!!! During the day you can see Elliott Bay and Mt Rainer. Pillows and beds were super comfy!!! Centrally located. Easy walk to the Seattle center or even down to pikes market.

This little gem is ideal if you want to be close to the Space Needle and Westlake Monorail station, as it is about a 10 to 15 minute walk away (so you don’t have to worry about parking and driving). It is still at a decent distance from the hustle and bustle of Pike Place about 1 and a half miles (we walked this and it wasn’t so bad), and about a 30 minute drive from the SEA airport.
The rooms themselves are not very big but are equipped with a small sink, mini fridge, microwave, and some cabinets. The rooms are nothing fancy but it’s got all the small conveniences. Speaking of which! How awesome is it that there is a Safeway grocery store practically across the street? This makes it ideal if you want to save a few bucks by buying a few food items to keep in your room.
If you have some time, check out their roof patio. It’s quite nice and offers a nice view of downtown and the space needle. Their chairs are pretty relaxing too. If you’re lucky to be there on a sunny day, soak up some sun!
The 4 stars you wonder? I mean this place is pretty good so far. Well let’s just say when you find yourself on a red eye flight and can’t find parking? It can be quite annoying… more like aggravating. We drove in an F150. Picture the tiniest parking garage ever. The kind with very, very low ceilings and narrow parking spots with not much room to maneuver. Got it? Now add lots of cars parked terribly. You know the debauchery, the ones that hog two spaces! Cant park between the lines, yeah. Let’s just say to park this Ford was a nightmare. The antenna kept swiping against the beams and parking alone took 30 min because there was no parking in any level. The gentleman at the front desk told us it was ok to park on the handicap spot, but even still, that didn’t feel right.
I still recommend this place if you’re looking to save, and still have a nice accommodation. Even more if you don’t have a car with you! And if you’re on your way now, don’t say I didn’t warn you about the parking situation. Toodles!

Great location. If you are visiting Seattle and want to experience it all. Very close to space needle, tram to downtown and pikes market. Really nice hotel close to lots of good choices and markets!

No AC in the room freaked me out at first because it has been really hot when I was walking around outside but they keep the windows open and it brings in fresh air. That mixed with the ceiling fan made it really nice.
My room had a day bed in the window and a really pretty view of Seattle and the water. The windows staying open was nice because I could hear the seagulls in the afternoon.
The location is convenient and the rooftop is a nice place to hang out and have some drinks and enjoy the views. There is a small gym, some cucumber water, a computer room, and a built in Starbucks.
I think it’s annoying you have to pay extra to have access to the internet, but that’s my only complaint.

Hotels around downtown Seattle are pricey but we were able to get a good deal on Orbitz for Mediterranean Inn!
The hotel staff was very professional and we enjoyed our stay. The staff graciously held onto our luggage for us before check-​in and after check-​out. The check-​in and check-​out process was a breeze. There is iced water and spa water available in the lobby.
I was extremely pleased with our room. We didn’t pay for fancy and didn’t expect fancy but the room was large, the bed comfortable, and most importantly – the place was super clean. The bathroom seemed newly renovated and we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious it was (since a lot of hotel bathrooms tend to be tiny these days…). Our window faced the parking lot/​streets but the room had a safe, an iron and ironing board, microwave, coffee maker, and a sink. We only stayed one night and was out for most of the day so we didn’t need wi-​fi (from the other reviews, it seems you have to pay for that).
The only things we wish were different are 1) an earlier check-​in time (check-​in is at 4 PM) and 2) the hallway walls were thicker so you don’t hear hallway conversations in the morning.
All in all, we had a great stay. Mediterranean Inn is only a few blocks away from the Space Needle and the monorail that takes you to downtown Seattle. There is a Starbucks and other food places nearby so the location’s fantastic!

I found an AMAZING deal on Groupon for this place, and it was recommended to me, so this made my hotel decision quite easy for my trip to Seattle. All of the other hotels I was looking at were either out of my price range, had awful reviews, or were all the way over by SeaTac Airport.
This place was simple, nothing fancy, but clean and very convenient. It is in a good location, just a short walk to the Space Needle. The staff was very nice and helpful to us. One thing I thought was odd though was online it said that there was a free continiential breakfast, however that was not the case. This was not a big deal though, as there is a Safeway right near the hotel. Plus they had free apples in the fitness center, woo!
The view from the roof is incredible! The skyline looks awesome. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area, I was satisfied with my stay there.
