Normally I don’t write any review. But I have to absolutely agree with Scrappy’s comments.
I just visited there recently. The mean front desks are no longer there. The new front desks are super nice and friendly. They explained the insurance and charge clearly.
Plenty of space for patients’ reserved parking. Dr. Marcial took medical leave. The new dentist is a lovely lady who is very gentle and caring. Nan is the best hygienist I have ever met.

Mean lady is long gone. Everyone here is great, especially Nan! She gets my chompers sparkly every time!

I’m not a fan of writing bad reviews, but felt this one is needed. I do want to start by saying that Nan is awesome! Having said that, I was very disappointed with the rest of the service provided. Dr. Felix is quite impersonal and seems very uninterested. However, I stopped going to them when they basically called me a liar. I have two crowns in my mouth, one gold and one porcelain. My gold one came out and he quickly put it back in during a regular appointment that happened to be scheduled a few days after it came out. Dr. Felix told me at the time that there wasn’t much tooth left for it to hold on to. A few months later my porcelain one came out and I scheduled an appointment and they quickly put that one in. Then, months later, my gold one came out and took tooth with it. When I went back in to them to discuss my options, I told the assistant that Dr. Felix warned me about this. She said, «What are you talking about, this crown never came off.» I reminded her that it did and they replaced it on a regular visit. She said, «That’s not true or we’d have record of it.» I asked, «So I’m lying?» She said, «Either that or you’re just not remembering correctly. Maybe it was another dentist.» I said, «Since moving to Seattle this is the only dentist I’ve seen.» Then Dr. Felix came in and basically told me, «No, that didn’t happen here. She’s right, you’re wrong.» That was my last time there and I’m so happy I am now with a new dentist and staff that are professional, and courteous.

Beware if you have a dental problem at work as this office will not take L & I claims yet do the work and make you pay out of pocket. I am out $ 595 even though they knew I had done this at work but refused to sign the forms so I could get my money back from the State.
I had seen Felix for over 10 years and very disappointed I was treated like this and mislead. The dental office should have been upfront and honest about not being an L & I Provider and just happened to have an opening 3 hours later that morning and proceeded with the crown.
The woman at the front desk was very short and curt to my replies and even mentioned that they do not cater to that type of work or patients that involve payment from the State. Yet they billed my private insurance Delta Dental.
Beware and not so trusting in your medical professionals. I should have been more wary.

Went here for about 3 years, it was OK. Parking was a challenge at times.
My biggest gripe is is with their cancellation policy. I forgot about an appointment and got a text message reminder the day before with an option to confirm the appointment. I called the number to cancel. They said there is a 2 business day cancellation policy, otherwise its $ 50.
Seems disingenuous to send out the message after the window is closed.

I left a message via their website about scheduling a new patient appointment. Three days later, I am still waiting to be contacted either via email or phone. Not very impressed, will be going elsewhere. I work in scheduling for a medical practice, and we respond to internet inquiries within 24 hours. From the looks of other reviews, it seems I dodged a bullet.

I had moved to Seattle from Hawaii, and needed a new dentist. Marcial was recommended, by a trusted friend, who thought the Dr. and staff were terrific.
Well, after a few visits and thousands of dollars I think different.
The staff was cold, the Dr. was indifferent.
I have moved to Long Beach Ca. and contacted a new dentist. There might have been a confusion about sending my records. It could have been straightened out on the Seattle end.
They were not sent, and today here Dr. M’s office was rude offensive when called about it by my new dentist.
Overall opinion about these people in Seattle, look around for someone else.
It cost me$ 150. for new x rays that should have been sent by their office!

Poor bedside manner from Dr. Felix and poor customer service and attitude from his staff. Especially confounding is that they have a 48 hour cancellation policy (or else be charged $ 50) but their appointment reminders are sent out 24 hours in advance. This just doesn’t make sense.

Dr. Felix used to be a great dentist, but he seems to have dropped the ball.
Last summer I had my semiannual cleaning and check-​up, with a full-​mouth x-​ray set.
Dr. Felix gave me a clean bill of health.
Two weeks later, I started to have extreme tooth ache. Went back to see Dr. Felix. He examined me and said it was the gums.
The next day I flew to San Francisco for work and at night the pain was so severe I could not function. Left messages to Dr. Felix. He NEVER got back with me.
In the morning I saw a local dentist in SF who after a thorough examination sent me to do an emergency root canal (which solved the problem).
Oh yea, and I just got a bill for I don’t know what. Probably for the x-​rays that were never looked at. Who knows… I am still waiting for his callback :(

I was a patient of Dr. Marciel about 8 years ago and he gave me several fillings back then. At the time, I had to go back and have him fix one of the fillings because my bite was completely off and the filling was very jagged and awkward. About three years ago I had a horrible pain in one of my teeth that he had given me a filling. I decided to see a different dentist by then and found out that the filling that Dr. Marcielhad given me had a crack in it and had gotten badly infected. After taking a close look at my x-​rays, all 3 of the fillings that Dr Marciel had done also had small cracks in them and one of the fillings was poorly adhered to the base of one of my teeth which was the reason why my gums had been aggravated in that spot all these years. Anyhow, I never really liked Dr Marciel’s bedside manner anyhow and his shoddy work just confirmed why I left. My new dentist (of 3 years) is impeccable and spends a lot of time on my teeth. Since seeing Dr Junge, I haven’t had any issues.

Efficient, talented, busy! Signs of a great service!
I had relentlessly tried 4 dentists in a span of 3 months before finding Dr Felix and team. This was 3 years ago and I should say, one less thing to stop hunting for — the dentist that is honest, talented.
All other dentists I met, I couldn’t trust. The second opinion never matched the first. With Dr. Felix things are very straightforward. Their prescribed treatments are very genuine.
This is the NASA for tooth fillings. Super precise, super fast, super technology.
Other perks: Cool location, parking on capitol hill, front desk calls a day before to remind of appointment.
Everything’s very predictable and rigorous about their service.

I have never «Fired» a Dentist before but I just did today with Dr. Marcial Felix. Very very poor customer service and I question that Dr. Felix could have identified my condition before it was too late About 10 days ago I started to feel a bit of an ache in my back molar. At first I thought it may have been a cavity. The pain started getting worst and last Friday morning it was so painful I called Dr. Felix’s office mid-​morning. I told the reception /​front office person answering that I had a bad toothache and needed to see Dr. Felix today. She informed me that the office was closed for the afternoon and that I could have an appointment first thing Monday morning. Then I asked her for advice. «Well it’s so painful so what can I do between now and Monday morning?» All she responded with was, «Take Advil». She didn’t ask me any questions on my condition and even didn’t tell me to get OralGel which is key to treating a toothache! At the very least she could have had a Dental Assistant consult with me and provide me with some treatment to help me through the weekend.
The pain continued and the weekend was a combination of OralGel on the tooth which numbs it for an hour or so and Advil I called a good friend who is a Dentist and he asked about symptoms and diagnosed that at the very least I had an infected tooth. He called in a prescription for an antibiotic to my pharmacy. The antibiotic was perfect as it helped and by Monday morning my tooth was not aching.
And on Sunday night, to add insult to injury I received a call from Dr. Felix’s staff informing me that Dr. Felix was ill and that my appointment on Monday had been cancelled!
So I had enough and called first thing Monday morning to my old dentist, Dr. Ernest Barrett who is awesome. I just left him for Dr. Felix because Dr. Felix was just a few blocks from my condo on Capitol Hill. Dr. Barrett got me in immediately at 8:30am! He said my Dentist friend was correct to prescribe the antibiotics. Unfortunately Dr. Barrett and another specialist determined that I had fractured my molar since I was grinding my teeth at night! They said that they could not save the tooth so unfortunately it would need to be removed and an implant will have to be put in. And this will cost about $ 5,000! Ouch! Fortunately my Dental insurance will cover $ 3,000.
And the reason that I question that Dr. Felix should have caught this is that my good friend, the Dentist had told me like 6 month ago that based on my teeth that I had the characteristics of someone who grinds their teeth at night and that I needed a mouth guard! Okay this is from a Dentist that has never examined me once but by just looking at my teeth casually (I should have listened to him). So now I wonder since Dr. Felix did a new patient exam on me this past February and just examined my teeth after my cleaning in August, why didn’t he notice that I grind my teeth at night?
So that is my story and the above are all the facts.

Customer service Fail! — Sending out 24 hour reminders to patients about appointments but having a $ 50 charge for less than 48 hours cancellation. Yup, after being at the same dentist for 15+ years I am now looking for a new dentist on the Eastside and will no longer be a patient of Dr. Felix Marcial in Seattle.

I came to Dr. Marcial’s office, referred by another patient, after a bad experience at a previous dentist’s office. I was not disappointed, and continue to be glad I switched every time I visit.
The front desk and assistant staff is friendly and efficient, and Dr. Marcial is personable, gentle, and has talked me through the few issues I went to see him about to begin with, making me feel at ease with going to the dentist again. He even gave me my initial treatment (sanding down a poorly-​shaped filling and a take-​home fluoride treatment) free of charge to see if it would be a better alternative to me having to pay for and go through having the filling replaced entirely.
I would (and do) recommend his office to friends.

Had to do another review of Dr. Marcial’s office. He now has a fantastic front office staff and his hygienist and assistants are excellent. Dr. Marcial has his techniques down to a science. When he numbs the area, you hardly feel the needle at all and he is able to numb only the small area he is working so you don’t leave feeling like half your face is inflated. His staff constantly checks in with you during the procedure to make sure you are okay and if you are uncomforable in any way, the make adjustments immediately. I found him because his website stated that he caters to those afraid of dentists. Now, I have no fear at all.

ask me about my molars. why?, because i said so, and because i have the best dentist, period. Don’t like the dentist, scared even. well then you need to visit Felix (we’re on a first name basis). small, comfortable and the staff is very attentive. example: i have sensitive teeth, my hygienist (naan) took an extra 20 Min’s to apply a paste that would make it less painful when they rinsed. Everyone is so nice! i dropped my last horrible dentist for this place and i can’t say enough positive things about this place. amazing

I hate to admit it, but I had not been to the dentist in over ten years. Then I broke a molar and needed a root canal and other work. Dr. Marcial and his staff are as friendly as everyone else has reported here on Unilocal.
I felt comfortable, the prices were reasonable and clearly explained to me. I am now a «regular» and will not let so much time lapse again!

My regular dentist for a really long time. I love Dr. Felix & his staff. I actually look forward to my semi-​annual visits!

So my employer offers two dental plans — Shitlamette and Detla Dental. Shitlamette is a $ 10 co-​pay for just about any service and you get students from UW working on your mouth. This doesn’t suck for cleanings etc. but when you have a 20+ year old filling go tits up on you, it’s not so bueno.
So I dumped Shitlamette when the new filling they stuck in my yap just up and fell apart. Delta lets me go anywhere with a reasonable cost sharing plan so went back to my first love of dental hygiene — Dr. Felix Marcial. Don’t that just drip right off your tongue like dew from a rose petal? You bet it does!
Dr. Felix is so gentle, so kind, and SO MOTHER FUCKING CUTE it makes me want to chew on sheet metal just so I can go hang out with him.
