Best wisdom teeth extraction experience ever. Well, only one really, but the «best» stands.
As with any kind of invasive surgical procedure, the quality of care you receive before, during, and after is so important for proper healing. This office provides the highest quality of care that I have ever experienced in a dental setting. From Carol’s warm smile and welcoming attitude at the front desk to Sandi’s helpful financial knowledge (they accept Care Credit!). I cannot recommend this place enough.
I tend to feel anxious when it comes to dental work. Just hearing «open up» while I was sitting in the chair during my initial appointment made my pulse spike. Dr. Hart was very patient with me and put me at ease just by his presence. What I mean is that he wasn’t looking at me as just another job. He was present with me and my nervousness, making eye contact and answering all of my questions thoroughly. His professionalism and heart-​centered confidence reassured me a great deal. I had no doubt that I was in the most capable hands.
I have to say, the star of my experience was Amy. She was the first person I saw after walking past that front desk and she figuratively and at times literally held my hand through the whole thing. I tend to ask an annoying number of questions when I’m nervous and this time was no different. Amy listened and answered all of them, and when my anxiety brought a bit of tears, she was understanding and supportive. And then asked me if I had any more questions! :) Right after the procedure was over, I’m pretty sure I remember telling her that she was an angel (haha) and I stand by that statement. The heart in this woman is enormous.
The procedure itself, from my perspectice, was fast and easy. I walked in that morning, sat in the chair, started asking questions and was out (then awake) before I knew anything had happened.
If you’re still questioning where to go for your mouth surgical needs, let this be your sign. Go to these guys. They’re going to take care of you.

I recently had four wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Hart at Puget Sound Oral and have nothing but good things to say about my experience. Every interaction by phone and in person was friendly and informative. They made me feel at ease and gave thorough instructions before and after the surgery.
I was anesthetized during the procedure so I don’t remember anything from that and certainly felt no pain plus the healing process was fast and smooth. Within 48 hours I was already going out and about and by day three had no problem being back in the office. That third day was the most painful but even still was nothing more than a mild pain in the corners of my lower jaw. I didn’t even use the prescribed painkillers because I found that ibuprofen was all I needed.
Certainly a much more positive and painless experience than I anticipated. I sincerely appreciate the excellent work done by Dr. Hart and the friendly demeanor of his staff.

I needed all four wisdom teeth pulled and I decided to consult with Puget Sound Oral surgery and it went flawless. I was seen the next day to have my teeth checked and had them removed within a week. The entire staff was helpful and made it an easy procedure. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs their wisdom teeth extracted.

The whole experience from when I scheduled a consultation up to my checkup went smoothly. The office gave me clear and easy-​to-​follow directions with regard to buying my medication prior to my extraction. Aside from from the treatment itself, this was the first time in which a dedicated person (Sandy I believe is her name) explained to me what would be covered by insurance and what would be out-​of-​pocket. She highlighted and showed me what the cost-​breakdown was of my treatment. It gave me so much piece of mind that I didn’t feel that I would have to save a paycheck (or two) for this. THANK YOU!

this is for a review in their Woodinville clinic. I thought I would give this place a try. My first initial experience was ok. I had to get some dental work done a week later. 1) I did not care for the hygienist. She did not listen to me when I told her the vacuum tools she placed in my mouth was digging in my gums. 2) They didn’t tell me how much the total cost was upfront. After I did my first dental repair, they told me I owed them over $ 100. I came in the following week for the final work, and then they said I owed them over $ 500. Three weeks later, I get a bill for more work they claim my insurance denied, but they claim they called and said my insurance will cover. I do not recommend for anybody to go back there again. This is what happens when the dental industry joins major chains. It like McDonald’s for the teeth industry.

Luckily for you, O Unilocaler, I am now several days post-​wisdom-​teeth-​removal; and I am, in fact, no longer on powerful drugs. While this may make my review substantially less entertaining, I hope what it lacks in exuberant babble, it makes up in legibility.
I was referred to Dr. Hart’s office after learning that my wisdom teeth were no longer «cool,» as the kids put it – «kids» being those younger than I, who at age 24.5 had put off getting my third molars pulled for about 5 years longer than I should have. While my age (positively-​geriatric in wisdom tooth years!) made me quite anxious about what I would experience, the kind staff at Dr. Hart’s office quickly put me at ease — especially Amy, who was a real joy for both my consultation and my day-​of-​surgery.
A large part of my anxiety was, honestly, paying for the surgery. At a cantankerous and feeble-​minded 24.5 years of age, I no longer benefitted from the youthful glow of «My Parents’ Insurance»; instead, I was marooned on Young Adulthood Island, The Barren Cay Of Spending Your Own Money On Painful But Necessary Procedures. Thoughtfully, though, Dr. Hart’s staff included Sandi, who transparently and kindly (and in writing!) detailed what my expected cost would be for the procedure — which helped not only with budgeting, but also with my generalized fear of What Is Going On. No financial question felt too stupid or naïve to ask. This genuinely meant a lot to me.
Dr. Hart himself was completely friendly and at ease, and was happy to answer all of my questions. Before the surgery, his office provided me with the prescriptions I’d need — including antibiotics, painkillers, and an anti-​anxiety pill for right before my procedure (something I was desperately thankful for). As far as the procedure itself — it seems to have gone swimmingly! I’m 4 days out, and while I’ve had all the adorable side effects they tell you about (chipmunk cheeks, pudding diet, doe-​eyed helplessness), the pain has been completely manageable, and I only had to take 2 days off of work.
Bonus? Everyone was the sweetest when my totally drugged-​out-​of-​my-​mind-​self kept on suggesting that we get happy hour… while I was crosseyed and chomping on gauze in the recovery room. Total «David After Dentist» stuff. But they absolutely played along, and gave me probably the gentlest «No, sorry, I don’t think beer is the best choice right now» response I could have gotten.
These guys are rad.

The best oral surgeon ever!

I had my consult on ¹²⁄₉ and surgery on 12÷23÷14. A tooth extraction that was close to the sinus cavity and also had roots going up and behind another tooth. Dr. Hart was a referral from my primary dentist and I couldn’t be happier.
After the consult he gave me a prescription to get filled and have all the medication I needed before I even got to my surgery. He said he wanted to make sure I already had my pain pills ready as soon as we got done — and not have to go wait in line at a pharmacy. This was very helpful and reassuring.
One of the pills was to help with anxiety and keep me relaxed before I even got into the office; which made for a smooth transition to the IV sedation.
The office called the following day to check up on me and make sure everything was going well. They scheduled me for a follow up office visit the next week as well.
Overall, great service! Even if my insurance didn’t cover 100%, I would do it all over again.

I was dismayed to learn that I’d need to have a tooth pulled during a dental visit this fall. I was referred to Dr. Brian Hart and the team at Puget Sound Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Everyone in the practice was friendly, efficient and professional, from my initial consultation through the surgery (quick and painless!) and post– surgery follow up. All along the way my questions were answered and I was provided with details on implant options and my insurance was reviewed to provide me with the real costs so I could make my decisions. I highly recommend Dr. Hart, Jessica and the staff at Puget Sound Oral Surgery!

I’ve always heard that getting your wisdom teeth out was pretty bad and was nervous about having them removed. Dr. Hart was extremely nice and the staff is awesome. They made me feel very comfortable and I had very little pain that day. I just had my last check in and everything went very well! So glad I was referred to this office. I have been putting off getting my wisdom teeth pulled for about two years now — mostly because I have been terrified! I’ve never been put on a general anesthetic and I thought the pain would be awful, especially hearing of others horror stories.
So I reluctantly set up a consultation with Dr. Hart at Puget Sound Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. I was very pleasantly surprised! The whole thing from start to finish felt very comfortable and the staff seemed very trustworthy.
I had my teeth out just yesterday and have had no swelling and very little pain — mostly just a mild discomfort. I haven’t even had to take the pain killers that were prescribed to me and i’ve just been on ibuprofen!
They take care of you from start to finish — everything from prescribing you something beforehand to calm your nerves, to making sure you’re comfortable with everything they’re doing and you knowing exactly how to care for your new jaw.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Hart to anyone who has to get their wisdom teeth out — he was absolutely amazing!

The technicians are supportive and treat their patients kindly, they were the only reason why I didn’t walk out of the office just before my wisdom teeth extraction. While I cannot speak about the other oral surgeons at this centre, I certainly do not recommend Dr. Ralph Zech. He had no respect for me as a patient who had questions and concerns about the pre-​op X-​ray evaluation and operation. He was dismissive and arrogant. If you are considering his oral surgery services, please read his individual reviews on Unilocal and otherwise.

I needed to get two teeth pulled out due to Orthodontic treatment. Dr. Hart and his staff are amazing! They made sure everything was clear and that I understood their policy as far as transportation. His assistant did a follow up call and made sure that everything was fine. I went in, got my extractions and was on my merry way. I would recommend Dr. Hart to any of my family and friends in a heart beat!

I am not usually one to write reviews, but I felt I just had to write one for this particular business.
I am 28 years old, but everyone there treated me like a child — talking down to me, and generally condescending in conversation. The worst was Dr. Hart and the receptionist. Dr. Hart would say things like «take some time off school» (I graduated from college 5 years ago). He treated me like I was an idiot. The receptionist had the audacity to yell at me when I wasn’t clear about their policy to have someone present during oral surgery (my understanding was that I just needed someone to pick me up and drop me off). She immediately became angry and said «NO! You cannot do that! You HAVE to have someone here during the surgery…» and on and on. She lost it, and, though I normally keep my cool with angry and aggressive people, she had me in tears after she was done laying into me. I didn’t even argue with her. She just lost it, and was totally disrespectful and unprofessional.
I was not treated with dignity or respect at either of my appointments there. I won’t be going back for my follow-​up appointment. I am not interested in seeing these people again.
I read another review on here — glad to know that I am not the only one that felt this way. I am surprised that my dentist referred me to them, and will definitely have a conversation with her about my experience with her.

I was in so much pain when I went here. A tooth had apparently dropped a filling and was rotting out. I don’t have insurance, and went in to get it pulled. The dental technician (really nice person, totally spacing on her name) talked to me about pulling vs. root canal and understood that I was coming in on the cheap side. Took my x-​ray, got me to see the dentist, who again was a great guy. Dr. Brian Hart did the pull and talked to me while numbing me up. Came in after a few minutes, pulled it, and sent me on my way with a prescription for pain pills.
What really was nice was the phone call the next day to make sure I was ok, and to talk to me about the next steps. That was really nice. I thought it was kind of nice to have a follow up for something so minor for them, but kind of major for me.

For about a year now, my wisdom teeth have been causing me on and off pain… Thanks to Unilocal,I found my way over to Dr Roberts
… I mean, 9 5-​star reviews… For a dentist! How is that even possible?! I was more than intrigued… I called up to get a rough estimate on pricing for wisdom teeth removal, but of course I couldn’t get ANY sort of figures without them seeing me first. I figured it had been over 3 years since I’d been to the dentist, and I could use a routine checkup/​cleaning anyways… So time to pony up. The prices all seemed quite reasonable to me. Only $ 80 for a checkup/​cleaning plus $ 100 for x-​rays. So I went it, they did a cleaning, and Dr. Roberts came over to look at my teeth and x-​rays. He decided to refer me to an oral surgeon. Dr. Hart from Maxillofacial Surgery.
Well, I went in there, and they had to take a different type of x-​ray, which of course cost another $ 120 or so dollars… But scheduled me up for my removal (1 week later, and 2 weeks after I called for my initial appt. I decided to only remove the bottom 2 (primarily for financial reasons), as I’ve never really had any problems with the top two and they grew in very straight. Both Dr. Roberts and Dr. Hart didn’t really try to convince me otherwise. Their only concern was that sometimes without teeth below them to push against, the other teeth will grow out farther. But neither thought it was too great of a risk. It ended up being a bit pricey to go to Dr. Hart, but still less than the $ 2000 I had allotted including my dentist trip, and the preliminary appt. at the oral surgeon. Just under $ 1,200 for the removal, including iv sedation and nitrous.
I had them taken out yesterday (Tuesday) and I don’t remember a thing… I haven’t even taken any of my prescription pain-​killers yet today. Yeah, it hurts a little. My jaw is a little sore. But I’d say it hurts less than a sprained ankle! I’m pretty confident I’ll even be able to eat thanksgiving dinner tomorrow (Albeit very sowly)!
While I did end up paying a bit more than I had originally wanted to, eating is one of my favorite activities ever… And mouth pain sucks. In fact, I’d say that my mouth hurts even LESS than it did when my gums were inflamed from my wisdom teeth…
Highly recommend BOTH Dr. Roberts and Dr. Hart. Both of them even knocked some of the cost off of my procedures because I didn’t have any insurance.
