I go to Maly’s because it’s the only beauty supply that legitimately carries Pureology and L’Oreal INOA. These are the products that are used in the salon I work at so I also use them on myself. Maly’s has been a back and forth kind of deal. When I first started going in there, the manager Amy was crazy; she reminded me of a younger version of an ex-boss of mine. But she warmed up to me after a while, and then it could be pleasant when I went in there. Then she left, and it doesn’t seem to me like they have an official manager any more. Staff keeps overturning and now there is only one older gal who is very nice, but very slow at the check out process. Having worked in a beauty supply before, I understand how long it takes to learn those computers, and for the older generations who didn’t grow up with computers, it can be even harder. But I feel badly for her because a lot of the times she’s the only one in the store with no one to help her out, and check out takes twice as long as it should. Overall, I’d much rather come to Maly’s than to Cosmo Prof, and I wish Maly’s would start taking a few of the other lines from Cosmo Prof so that I never have to set foot in there again. But at least Maly’s did take over BioIonic and Pravana.

I always go to maly’s. because they carry almost everything that I need. Price is OK. there are two girls always working. One girl is very helpful and nice and friendly and polite. Other girl, I think she is a manager. She is extremely oposite than the other girl. I saw this manager was very bossy and rude to other girl. And she does not how to say«Thank you’ never never never. So I, customer, never say thank you to her either. Maybe nobody taught her being even decent to not only her customer but other human…

Shopping here IS a chore — it’s one of my work chores. This place pretty much is what it is. Sometimes they have good sales, sometimes it seems like they are out of a ton of stuff I need to buy. Overall, they have a decent selection for a small store, and I have always found the people who work here to be pleasant. And as far as that goes, I have to make the observation that every time I shop here, there is some crazy, demanding person, often lacking in the proper credentials, pretty much screaming at whoever is attempting to help them. With that in mind, I’d say these people are real troopers.

I have to agree with Lola, the main girl here is nothing but bad attitude. I went in a few months ago asking for the release date of an item and she told me twice there was no such thing, basically that I was wrong(I found two other stores with it a few days later). On my last visit she practically yelled at the other SA for trying to help ring me up and then had the nerve to roll her eyes at the lady she was helping for being too slow. She makes going there a chore instead of fun and I avoid it unless necessary.
