It was time (ok, long past time) to replace my mattress so I turned to Unilocal,like I do for everything else. I was mentally preparing to slog my way through a whole weekend of trips to different mattress stores but then I saw #1, by far, on the list of best mattress shops in my area was Mattress Depot USA in Northgate, so I went there first… and didn’t go anywhere else.
Andy helped me find my new mattress. He clearly knows what he’s doing and had me try several different models to help get a feel for what I was looking for in a mattress, then gave me the time and space to make my own decision. He is the perfect blend of informative and friendly. I wish all of my shopping experiences were like this one.
A+. I’m sending my brother to get a new mattress here as well.

This place is so amazing and affordable! Doug was very friendly, helpful, and most importantly honest. He did not try to up sale any of the mattresses and actually recommended one of the most affordable ones. It was great quality and firm and way cheaper than the other mattress store I visited in downtown. I found the mattress in less than ten minutes in being in the store. It was a really great experience. Also, there was free delivery!!! I have absolutely no complaints and would definitely recommend this place. Awesome possum!

If you want a place that’s quick and easy with little to no hassle this is the place to go. Andy was super friendly and not pushy at all. I checked out the prices online first and he gave us the same deal. Go check them out!

I agree with all the Andy lovers – he knows his stuff, is very friendly and relaxed. I got a great bed for a good price and could not be happier.

Sarcasm is never a virtue but it only kills in excess. A little bit of sarcasm in unexpected places can go a long way. Humanity is united not only by our banalities but by our peculiarities and hang-​ups. Sometimes we need sarcasm as a reminder that all good people are capable of stepping back and laughing at the world. It’s about keeping things in perspective or, in the case of something as inherently absurd as buying a mattress, an opportunity for everyone in the room to acknowledge just how odd this life can be.
It’s hard to fathom the experience of buying a mattress until you enter a store like Mattress Depot USA. Sleep is a basic human need; without it, our brains go soft and our bodies turn to mush. You might even say that sleep is a right. The idea that a good night’s sleep is bound up in space-​aged material and deep variations in box spring structure is, to say the least, insulting to any of us who see sleep as no more exalted than pissing or crying.
I suppose that there are people out there who are true connoisseurs of sleep, who really get off on the difference between memory foam and latex oxide. But those fools are few and far between. Most of us just want a bed to call home. Stepping into a mattress store invites a certain level of paranoia: Have I been sleeping to the fullest extent? Am I only barely alive? Will a $ 1500 bed make me a better person? Why can’t I just piss and cry and call it a day, sated?
That’s why it was so great to walk through the doors of Mattress Depot USA and meet Justin. And Justin. And Justin. And Justin. And Justin. And Justin. Actually, there were only two Justins – one over-​the-​top and boisterous, the other laid-​back and blasé – but in a way, everyone in that store was a Justin. Justin #1 was the point man. He didn’t exactly welcome us at the door or press us from the outset, but he immediately perked up, bounded over, and without missing a beat, asked if we wanted to look at any mattresses. And it didn’t let up from there.
Justin #1 walked a fine line between talking a lot and talking too much, between pushing buttons and crossing line (a different line than the fine line at the start of that sentence). As we looked at mattresses, he highly mocked us, he feigned exasperation at our attempts to save as much money as possible, and he offered us a deal with little fanfare because duh, a deal is a thing you do that seals itself and contemporary adults know the score on that front. Justin #1 was not fucking around but he was definitely fucking around, if that makes any sense.
But it was Justin #2 – kicked back on (what else) a mattress, staring up at the ceiling, and hanging out like «Just Kicking It: With the Dudes» was the name of the business, lost in some combination of thought and ennui – who really told the full story of what made Mattress Depot feel like a palace of Justins where the price of admission was a simple willingness to sit back and marvel at the utter strangeness of piles and piles of beds worth thousands and thousands of dollars, all with the express purpose of making that their future owner fall asleep safely each night and not be subjected to a world of horror and delirium.
Sleep is so basic, so close to who we are that it is invaluable. Beds are horribly mundane but so is the human heart, except that it is also an extraordinary piece of engineering that keeps us going to enjoy the day – the profundity at the heart of mundanity. The everyday isn’t the opposite of living, it’s the essence of it. The deepest thing in the world is doing nothing at all. Mankind at rest is where dreams are hatched and if we aren’t aware that dreams are coming true, are we really fulfilled?
Doubtlessly, Justin #2 knew all of this. He communicated it telepathically with Justin #1, even as they couldn’t have played more different roles out on the showroom floor. It was about what it means to be Justin, no matter what number they give you or who manages to slump over first for the day. Everyone who steps inside that store becomes a little more Justin. And when you leave, you can smile to yourself because in a way, we are all Justin.

Justin was great. Gave us great info and no pressure. We tried out a lot of beds and found one we think will be just right. And it was made in the USA.

Best service from knowledgable staff! I never like pushy salespeople so this place was great. Plus When I mentioned my lower back problems Andy talked me through the best choices of back-​supportive mattresses. I’m happy with my selection!

Andy was amazing! He helped us with all our questions and educated us. We were able to take all the time we needed without any sales pressure. We love our mattress we bought but we were happy to have the reassurance of the return policy. Oh yeah and the prices are the lowest around but first class service/​product!

They hooked my girl up! Her house burned down, she needs a bed tomorrow. They worked her budget and gave her good deal, thx fellas!

We hit all the mattress stores on Northgate Way trying to find an inexpensive twin mattress for my son. Mattress Depot was the most pleasant experience by far. No high-​pressure sales. I had left Sleep Country furious because the sales guy made me feel like a bad parent for having a budget. I didn’t get any of that from Andy at Mattress Depot. Not only was it the most friendly experience, we got my teenager an amazing, high-​quality mattress for only $ 60 more than the cheapest/​least-​expensive mattress at any of the other stores.
Because we needed it right away and it was in the store, Andy even bagged up the mattress and tied to the roof of my car for me. It saved me time and delivery fees.
This is actually the second time we bought from them. Two years ago, while moving our movers discovered mold on my mattress. The mattress was very expensive and having to deal with that during the stress (and expense) of a move left me an emotional mess. Andy was our salesperson then as well, and got me a new, comparable mattress that left me wondering why we had spent so much in the first place.

I got my mattress delivered in 20 minutes after I got back home, cannot be more satisfied.

Awesome service and prices! Justin helped us out, taught us a lot with no high pressure sales. We shopped around and came back for sales and service!

Went to three mattress stores in the Northgate area and ended up pulling the trigger at Mattress Depot. Our salesman Andy wasn’t pushy and was helpful in helping us find a comfortable, supportive mattress in our price range. Despite the store not being huge, we were able to find four mattresses that were comfortable and also at a workable price.
Two days later when they delivered the mattress, we found a foot and a half long rip down the seam. We went down to the store and since it was a floor model, Andy gave us a direct trade for another mattress we had liked (which was new and had a warranty) and it ended up being a great deal for us and absolutely no hassle. I fully expected to have to go through a bunch of negotiation but he made it easy for us which was great because it was stressful for this expensive purchase to not go as planned.
The delivery crew, Justin and Chris, was very friendly and professional. They encouraged me to look over the mattress and were very apologetic when we discovered the rip on the first mattress. When they delivered the second mattress they were fast and helped make sure the mattress was in good condition.
Summary: Great deal on bed, no pressure during the sale, problem was resolved excellently, overall good experience.

Great staff, great choice of mattresses and amazing discounts.
I was attended by Joe who did a great job. I needed same day delivery of the mattress, but it wasn’t possible. However Joe specially made a few calls to make it happen. He also provided me with brilliant discounts!
Kyle and Joe also provided me with a Map of Seattle area to help me with the geography of the area since I was new to the city.
I would definitely recommend anyone in and around Seattle planning to buy a mattress to pay this place a visit

After reading several Unilocal reviews, I decided to go to Mattress Depot to get an affordable, yet quality, mattress for my new apartment. Being new to the area and sleeping on my roomate’s couch, I needed a bed right away. Like same day delivery right away.
I got there about an hour after opening to ensure that I could get the mattress delivered ASAP, and Andy worked his magic. He found a mattress for me that was even below what I was willing to spend, and gave me a good deal on the box spring and bed frame.
There was no sales pressure or upselling tactics — much appreciated for a fresh out of college student with a limited budget.
The only complaint I have is that he didn’t mention that the $ 60 delivery fee, paid in cash when the delivery men arrived, didn’t include set up (an additional $ 10).
I wasn’t sure if I had the extra cash on me, but the delivery men were willing to set it up for me anyway. Nice guys. I did end up finding an extra $ 10 in my purse, and if I had $ 5 more, I would have tipped the delivery men for being so kind and offering to set my mattress up for free, even though I think that I had the $ 10 fee.

Came in to compare with the other nearby stores and was happy to come here for the final purchase. Bought my full sized mattress box and protector for a very competitive price and with no pressure! Thank you very much!

We arrived in Seattle around 4pm on Friday and needed to buy a full size bed for our daughter. Top priority was being able to find a bed that was comfortable and that could be delivered sometime on Saturday. We checked out a couple of mattress stores in the area that were more expensive and couldn’t deliver until Monday.
Then we walked in to Mattress Depot and found the perfect bed for a great price. Joe, the salesman, was terrific! He didn’t try to sell us a more expensive bed or all of the «accessories». When he couldn’t guarantee delivery on Saturday (only because he wasn’t able to talk to his delivery guy at the moment), he offered to tie down the mattress and box spring to the top of our minivan and then he gave us an additional discount!
I would definitely recommend Mattress Depot!

I had just arrived in Seattle and after a long day of errands and buying stuff for my new place, the last thing I wanted to think about was getting a bed. It was a Wednesday night around 7 PM that I arrived to Mattress Depot with my mom and housemate.
Joe, the salesman, greeted us and was super helpful and attentive. He listened to our needs and price ranges that we were comfortable with spending. For me personally, I prefer the more firm mattresses and I do not like a lot of ‘bounce’ or ‘squishiness,’ for a lack of better terms. Joe suggested an affordable full sized mattress that was firm but also had a foam layer on top that provided a tad more comfort. I ended up really liking that one so I decided to get it.
Since it was getting late, Joe said that he wouldn’t be able to have it delivered tonight but that he would tie the mattress and box spring down for us since we did not live too far from this location. The way Joe tied down everything was very secure since when we finally got home, nothing bad had happened and the mattress and box spring were in perfect condition!
I just wanted to comment more on Joe’s customer service because he was very kind and knowledgeable. He made us feel comfortable and did not pressure us towards anything. I really appreciated it that about him! He was also funny and easy to talk to and he was very accommodating when it came to payments. This is the kind of customer service I expect to see at every place! Joe’s the best!

After searching all over town I quickly realized that buying a mattress wouldn’t be easy. I would compare mattress sales men to car sales men after going into this process.
Thankfully after meeting Joe at Mattress Depot the process was a breeze! After asking me some questions about my sleep habits and explaining to me my different options, I decided on a Queen Latex mattress that was in the budget I was trying to stay with in. I’ve had the bed for about a month now and I’m sleeping SO much better than I was before!
And the level of customer service I received there was far superior to the other stores. I would HIGHLY suggest stopping at Mattress Depot (and ask for Joe). He was absolutely wonderful and great to work with. He went beyond the norm and catered to my needs. Thanks again Joe and Mattress Depot!!!
