Lauren is the best stylist I have ever had! The location is private and relaxing, she truly cares about people. I have a Trichotillomania and it is very rare to find someone that knows what Trichotillomania is let alone make you feel so comfortable. I highly recommend! I am so glad I found her.

Lauren is not only amazing at hair and all that it entails but she is a wonderful person so worth having conversation with while you’re waiting for a dye or a blow out or whatever. I wouldn’t be lying if I use hair as an excuse to spend time with this beauty queen.
She also founded one of Seattle’s best runway shows Runway to Freedom to benefit survivors of domestic violence so supporting her supports her efforts with this dream.

I found my girl! Ok, so I’m married, but I’ve found the girl who does my hair. Makes me look great every time. Makes my wife happy too! Very friendly gal with a no nonsense attitude. She does killer hair.

Lauren is the BEST! I found her on Unilocal after recently moving to Seattle last year and I am such a happy customer :) I have short hair that I am working on growing out. She has listened to all my thoughts and questions and has consistently worked with me to evolve my cut to complement my style and face shape. She even gives me lots of pointers on how to style my hair at home on my own.
She has a lovely home studio that is welcoming and relaxing. I even took my son (5yo) to get his hair cut with her. He was so relaxed because the environment and she gave him the best haircut he has had to date. He has a lot of cowlicks so getting his hair to lay right and look polished is no small victory.

Lauren is fantastic! I’m not always sure how to explain what it is I want, but she works with me until I am happy. She’s super patient, an excellent listener, and extremely talented. I’ve been going to her for years, and am dreading the near future when I move away from the area and won’t be able to go her on a regular basis!

Lauren is an artist with naturally awesome style in hair, make up and wardrobe. I have a lot of heavy, flat, one dimensional hair that I was waiting to have cut by a stylist that would give it that extra sass, body and shape. Lauren totally delivered. I get compliments on my hair frequently and tell everyone I know to visit her if they are looking for a a stylist that listens, knows hair and is on of the top trends! Her salon is also welcoming & relaxing and I love the area of town it is in!

Lauren is amazing. I have been going to her for 5 years now. She nails the cut AND color every time. In fact, she has even fixed bad dye jobs that I had done at other salons. These are the reasons that I will never stop going to her:
1. She listens to what you want, and gives you just that.
2. If you are not sure what you want, she has a very creative eye and gives great advice on what could look good on you.
3. She is affordable.
4. She is laid back, and a real woman! She does hair in the comfort of her own home, which makes the whole process feel like you are just getting your hair done by a friend.
Seriously, if you haven’t had your hair done by Lauren then you need to give her a call.

Wanted to give Lauren a great review and am glad to see she has lots of others as she deserves it! She really takes her time with your hair and concerns and makes it right. Too many stylists just want to style you and move on but Lauren listens to your questions and helps you look your best. She is also just such a lovely person, so kind and easygoing. Most hairstylists I’ve gone to I feel so uncomfortable with (I am not a fashiony, heavy makeup type person) but Lauren is like a cousin or friend you just can relax with. But don’t get me wrong, if you did like more high fashion she is in tune to that too. I just appreciate her casual side to make me feel comfortable. Her home salon is really pretty and nicely set up. I’ve seen her several years now from when she was at Intermezzo and all my cuts from her also grow out perfect as well if I can’t get back for a cut for a while (which happens for me in the summer as I am out of town then). She also cut my son’s longer hair for his first professional cut and did a great job on that. My hair is not complicated and I don’t do color but I have a stubborn cowlick and some wave that is different on each side of my head (plus less volume of hair than I had in my 20s and 30s) and she can work around your individual hair texture and problems to get the right cut. I came in to see Lauren after getting a less than satisfactory haircut elsewhere. After listening carefully and sympathetically to my ‘tale of woe’ and hearing what it was I really wanted, she described her plan of action and executed it perfectly. She took what initially can only be described as ‘middle-​aged bob’ and gave me the more edgy look I was hoping for. She also took the time to show me how to style it myself going forward. I have since washed it and styled it myself with minimal effort, and I am very happy with the results!
In addition she is extremely warm, personable and funny, and the experience is very low-​key. I already have my next appt. scheduled with her!

a fabulous person, who gives fabulous cuts. my daughters, and i went to lauren for haircuts and the three of us could not be more thrilled. she was so patient and kind with my daughters. i also have to agree with a previous reviewer that it felt like i was getting my hair cut by an old friend. i need not look any further, we have found our go to stylist!

This woman understands hair. She can do anything and will leave you looking and feeling fabulous. This summer she got me to Ariel red hair without crazy damage. She helped me keep it up and fabulous. She taught me how to curl it at home. She’s just really a doll.
She is a hair goddess. Whatever you need, she can do. Seriously, check her out. You will not be let down.

Been in to see Lauren once, and I’ll definitely be back. She did a nice layered medium bob – it was my first haircut in years, and first time going short in probably a decade. I was a bit nervous but it turned out fantastic. Lauren definitely balanced listening to my input with telling me what she thought would work best, which I loved (nobody needs a stylist who’s a steamroller OR a pushover).
And of COURSE, Lauren is awesome and fun to hang out with while you’re getting pampered!

Lauryn is awesome. She is professional and takes the time to really listen to your needs and wants. Her studio is in her home, but you feel like you are in your own private salon when you are there. I found Lauren almost two years ago and would follow her anywhere. I highly recommend you give Lala’s Cuts a try.

I’ve been seeing Lauryn for haircuts for nearly three years now. She’s awesome! I’m never quite good at describing what kind of cut I want, but with Lauryn I am always pleased with the results! Her hair cuts have real staying power (my short, curly hair still looks good even 6 weeks later when it has grown out a bit). I agree with April A., it is so easy to chat with Lauryn – I always leave relaxed and feeling great. I just visited her new place, and it is so cute! Highly, highly recommend her – you’ll feel like you just met a new friend.

Lauren has done my highlights and cut about three times now. Each time the color is gorgeous and I receive a lot of compliments. The appointments with her are also just a lot of fun! I used to dread sitting there getting highlights put in as I didn’t enjoy the company of the folks doing my hair, oftentmes they were snooty or rude, or they were just ridiculously slow in putting in the highlights. Getting my hair done with Lauren is a pleasure, like relaxing with an old friend. She is professional but also wonderful to chat with. I almost wish she wasn’t as efficient as she is as it would mean we would get to hang out longer. She also listens very well and delivers on what you are asking for. She also makes great recommendations if you aren’t sure if bangs are for you, or other similar hair decisions. I highly recommend Lauren to anyone wanting some lovely highlights or a great new cut!

Lauren does beautiful hair! We worked a wedding together and she was a pleasure to work with. The bride loved her hair and looked amazing! Her professionalism was top notch, her communication effective and her passion for what she does was very apparent! She also does great men’s cuts! I will admit I’m quite particular about the way my hair is cut and styled and have been through a few stylists over the years. Lauren took direction very well and gave me a fantastic haircut! I also like the laid back vibe of her private studio. I love being able to support local businesses and she has created a nice space to relax and have your hair done!

I’m a bit particular about my hair. Vacillating constantly between cutting it a tiny bit, shaving my head, adding some color or straightening it. That, and the fact that I have incredibly curly half-​African American, half-​Cuban hair… makes getting any service in Seattle a bit challenging. Needless to say, I arrived at Lalascuts a bit indecisive. Lauren was so patient as I tried to describe the exact shade of eggplant I wanted my highlights to be. She explained the benefits of applying a dye that would lift the hair first — instead of going directly to the bleach. The color turned out spectacularly. I mean really fabulous! I don’t even live in Seattle, and I think Lauren will be my go-​to colorist from now on.
Aside from her amazing skills, Lauren is a fantastic person. She’s funny and kind and talks just the right amount (about just the right hilarious subjects). In other words, you don’t feel trapped while waiting for your service to be completed.
I highly recommend Lalascuts, and am looking forward to going back for a trim (if I can make up my mind).

Lauryn is AMAZING! She is not only fabulous at color and cuts but is just a pleasure to talk to! I have followed her happily from Intermezzo in Queen Anne to her new salon. The atmosphere of her new space is fresh, fun and clean and great location (with easy parking). I love how she always make me feel so special and can always fit me into her schedule. I have referred her to my coworkers and they love her too! Cant wait for my next appointment!!!

Lauryn has been coloring my hair for 2 ½ years now, and I recommend her highly. She worked with me to find just the right tone for my hair, and my appointments go like clockwork. I know my hair will look gorgeous and feel smooth and healthy when she’s done with it! But one of the best parts about my hair appointments is just chatting and hanging out with Lauryn, like visiting with a cheerful, upbeat friend. No drama, just relaxed fun and great color.
Lauryn is starting up her own business now, and I’ll be following her there. I’m excited to see her new space!
