Intermezzo Salon Spa

I came in yesterday to have my lashes done by Erika. She is amazing and so welcoming!!! I’ve had my lashes done at other places, but this was by far my best experience. She is very personable and efficient. If you’re thinking about doing lash extensions, I would seek her out!

Leslie has been cutting and highlighting my hair for five years and I could never go to anyone else. I love knowing that I can go in to see Leslie and enjoy the experience, and I will love the result. The salon is beautiful too.

My neighbor recommended Intermezzo I went there and had my hair highlighted and cut by Leslie. I was very happy with the results, other than some lack of blending layers. I went back yesterday for a follow up cut and highlight. The results are disastrous never have I had such a bad hair cut. I provided a picture of a previous style I wanted and my hair was totally butchered. I previously had red and dark brown highlights. Not now, just a bright red with blond highlights which I am appalled with. I tried to style my hair this morning and it’s impossible. I called back to ask for an appointment for Leslie to fix it. She refused and said she’d refund half my money. Feeling devastated. I’d like to give no stars but the app won’t let me.

Jessica W. Is just amazing! I had her balayage my hair today, my favorite technique. If you haven’t tried it, you should! She was so excited about this new kit she had gotten and I was excited for her to use her coloring skills on me. I wasn’t worried one bit cause I am always in good hands with Jessica. I always leave happy with my hair color. She listens well, is super personable and someone you definitely don’t mind spending 2 hours with getting your hair colored! Thanks Jessica! I’ll be back soon for a retouch… as you know!

I had my first visit with Intermezzo today but I followed my fabulous stylist, the lovely Jessica from another salon, and she once again gave me exactly what I asked for. I cannot recommend her enough. Her consultations are very thorough and thoughtful, she takes her time and you can tell she really cares about making you happy. We have fun conversations too. I always feel like a rock star whenever I leave her chair! The salon itself is super cute and the entire staff was very professional without being stuffy. Looking forward to my next visit! I have been getting my haircut by Jessica Whaley since I first moved back to Seatte and I have followed her from Habitude, to Chroma, and now Intermezzo. She is an incredible hairstylist and really cares about her clients. I have always loved my haircuts and bang trims!

Jessica has been giving me fabulous haircuts and color for a few years now but I was so excited to see her at her new salon! The place is super cute but we all know it’s the stylist that really matters. I always get an amazing cut, color (I’ve had all over color, highlights and Balayage) and blow out from her. She really listens to what you ask for and then delivers. I recommend that you go and see Jessica! You won’t be disappointed!

I’ve gotten my eyebrows done here by the lady upstairs and was happy with her work even though she seemed rushed. I’d (embarrassing!) forgotten my wallet and she was good with me delivering payment that afternoon. Friendly people at the front desk, clean and cute décor!

I came to Intermezzo Salon after a terrible highlight job at another Queen Anne salon (I went to the other salon on a Wednesday and they did a bad job. I went back on Thursday to have them fix it and they made it worse.) By Friday, I was desperately trying to find a new salon to fix it before a weekend full of Holiday parties and Christmas the following week. The first salon I called scoffed at me when I asked about any last minute openings.
After consulting with some friends and Unilocal,I gave Salon Intermezzo a call and am so happy I did. To be honest, I’m not sure why I didn’t go there in the first place. It’s convenient to my QA apartment, parking is easy, and the salon itself is SO cute.
Kayla was kind enough to fit me in at the end of her day. She was awesome and quickly laid out a plan as to how we would fix my highlights.
The finished product was great and my next appointment is on the books! Looking forward to trying out their spa as well.

I’ve been here a couple times now and each time I have been super happy when I leave. Shawn is amazing — friendly and really understands what good everyday hair looks like. I’ve had my hair cut and a partial foil from him and he is great at working with you to find something you’re comfortable with so that you feel and look fantastic when you leave. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would recommend.

Booked an appointment online for a spa service with Peggy, who came recommended by a dermatologist (always a plus!). When I arrived, she was ready for me and whisked me upstairs to the room. A nice change to not have to wait around, sign a million forms, etc. Peggy was really knowledgeable and informative about skincare, and most importantly — honest. Enjoyed my first experience, and look forward to going back!

I saw Peggy B. at Intermezzo for silk peel microdermabrasion. Skin feels very clean, very smooth & super hydrated. I’ll definitely be back. Easy parking & charming environment –professional & relaxing.

I had a great experience at Intermezzo. I had a Silkpeel Microdermabrasion and facial with Peggy and take it from someone who has had complexion problems for years, it actually worked!
Peggy is well educated in skin care and gave me some tips that are simple and effective to enhance my skin care routine. I will definitely be going back on a regular basis.
It is simple to book online and the salon is comfortable and inviting!

Intermezzo is an incredibly cute salon in Queen Anne! The staff is wonderfully sweet, the prices are extremely reasonable and the atmosphere is very chic and fun.
I had my hair cut by Jamie, who is no longer with Intermezzo, but I have no doubt that the other three stylists would be just as great!

Another great review of this spa. Joanna is doing great job on facials. Highly recommend ! This boutique spa has a lot of style and charm. It’s very easy to find parking (had to drive from Lower Queen Anne). Great job and coming back for another facial ;-)

My Massage Therapist Maria Toro is now at Intermezzo. I’ve been seeing Maria for 12 years and follow wherever she might go. Her skill level hasn’t plateaued since my first massage. I always look forward to her technique and know that my problem areas will be addressed and get some relief. I find that massage can be so many things to so many different styles of people and everyone I’ve recommended Maria to have thanked me. She is an artist in how to approach people and their bodies. If you are looking for a partner in health and wellness please go see Maria.

This is where my LMP, Maria Toro can be found. It is a gorgeous space, a little house on Galer Street that has been redone completely by the owner. The rooms are very beautiful and relaxing. If you are looking for a great massage, not just a relaxing massage, but one that can address injuries and pain, Maria is your person. She is amazing. Really knows what she is doing. I came to her with a pretty painful shoulder, and could hardly move it. After one 90 minute session I had more mobility. I have friends that rave about her, too. Great location, great body work. Five stars!

I have been trying different spas around Seattle to find an esthetician I feel comfortable with and I finally found my perfect match at Intermezzo Spa. Joanna provides the most relaxing and pampered experience. I was impressed by her good service and attention to detail. She was really easy to talk to and gave great skin advice. Also the spa itself is really cute and plush and made me feel like I was receiving a posh treatment in Paris.

Joanna Karas gave me one of the best facials I have received ever and I have been in the spa/​salon industry for 8 years now. Usually after a few hours of a facial my skin starts to feel dry and tight but not this time. I don’t know if it was the products or if its just her skills and knowledge but my face retained the moisture for days. I absolutely loved it!
The salon/​spa itself is so clean and cute. When you walk in the atmosphere just makes you happy and joyful. When Joanna greets you, the room lights up another notch. Not only is she amazing at what she does but her personality and smile are infectious and kind.
Intermezzo is definitely a gem of a place with great service and with Joanna Karas: o)

Just another vote for Holly. She does fabulous facials and as another reviewer put it, she is cute as a button. And real to boot!
Intermezzo uses the Eminence line and everything smelled amazing. What I love about Holly is that she didn’t push the line at the end of my facial. No handwritten menu of what was used or, even more obnoxious, placing full bottles of each cleaner, mask, etc on the counter at the cash wrap.
Holly even helped me with my botched eyebrows. She is nothing short of a wonder.
