Identical experience to Rachel K, save that he didn’t even remotely suggest he would come out. If he’s going to point all of his customers to email then not manage the email, he’ll continue to irritate potential customers.

Marvin was great! Thank you again! I emailed him early one morning about a couple of nests in the trunk of one of our cars and he was here the next day! I needed them taken care of quickly before a BBQ and he was willing to work with me. He also took care of a bee problem we were having in our front yard. He was quick, friendly, decently priced and willing to help! Plus he doesn’t use poison! I will definitely be recommending him to anyone with a bee problem!

Marvin was awesome. Called on a Thursday before a holiday weekend and he came by on a Sunday of the same weekend and handled it all really quickly. Really easy to work with and great at explaining/​helping you understand what is going on. Would highly recommend him to anyone!

Jerry the Bee Guy (actually named Marvin) quickly called me back after I left a message on his phone after we found a bumble bee nest in our barbecue grill. He came a few days later, and promptly and easily removed the bees within an hour. He gave us a fun science lesson once he had removed the next and put it in this mesh bucket. He was done in an hour and charged $ 130.

I contacted Marvin about wasp nest removal from my house and he was out the next day! Fast, friendly and knowledgeable! No pesticides, he captures them and their queen and cleans up. Highly recommended!

Marvin did a great job removing bumble bees from a tight space in the soffit. I called him up and lucked out that he was in the area. He came over shortly thereafter and got started on the removing the bees without harming them. He is reasonably priced as well! Thanks:)

Marvin was very quick to respond to my email inquiries and to set up an appointment. Even though it is early in the year we have a wasp nest starting to become active above our front door.

I had a yellow jacket nest in my house. Wrote an email to Marvin, he responded promptly and set up an appointment the next day. He arrived on time and was very efficient removing the nest. It wasn’t an easy task because the nest is inside the building. He shared with me a lot of useful information about the wasp. He has a true passion to his job, and I am extremely happy with his service and will recommend to him any friends.

We had a wasp/​yellow jacket nest near the roots of a tree right next to our house. Marvin came out and quickly removed it. I like that he did not use harsh chemicals and his price was the cheapest I found during my research. I am extremely happy with the service, price, and professionalism. I would use Marvin again in a heartbeat.

The other day I discovered I had a wasp nest and looked on Unilocal for a removal service. I called Jerry the Bee Guy and spoke to Marvin. He picked up the phone and although he wasn’t at work, took the time to talk to me about my wasp problem. He came out the same day and discovered I had 2 other nests around my house. He removed all 3 nests and gave me some helpful advice on how to secure other parts of my home from these insects. I highly recommend this company and Marvin was a pleasure to work with. The price was reasonable and what I expected to pay for this service.

Marvin was great. Not sure if I was just lucky but he called me back within 20 minutes of leaving a message. Came to west seattle and grabbed all my bumble bees that same day. Would call back in a second.

Bee Leaving is believing! Called Jerry (aka «Marvin» think «The Dread Pirate Roberts») around 1pm about a wasp problem underneath my home. He met me at my home within an hour and left about 90 minutes later having removed the nest and re screened the foundation vent. The price was about what I expected (based upon his website) and the experience was very satisfactory.

When we found out that we had yellow jackets who moved into our guest room, we needed someone sooner rather than later. We called around to a few other guys and they had all recommended «Jerry the Bee Guy». We called Martin around 10am on a Saturday, explained the situation, and as they had already made their way into the house, he rearranged his afternoon to come out and help us.
He gave a very detailed explanation of what time of flying insect they were, how and why they were there, how they normally get into a house, etc. He was incredibly thorough to help us understand how we can look out for this in the future and prevent it or at least notify him earlier on in the process.
He was in and out in 2 hours, did a very clean job and let us know what to do and look out for in the next few days. All for a very fair price.

Let me preface this by saying that Marvin was about an hour and a half late to my house and was not answering my phone calls. HOWEVER…
He STILL gets five stars (+) from me as he is as hardworking as he is nice. He showed up, profusely apologized for being late and explained that the last job he was at was far worse than expected, so it took a bit longer. I can understand that having both your arms deep in a hornet’s nest isn’t an ideal time to make a phone call.
Marvin absolutely loves his job. He is passionate, he loves talking about the business, he loves talking about the science. He quickly moved in, removed the nest from our siding, patched it up nicely (we’ll have to do a bit of work postmortem) and ensured me our little winged friends would not return (at least until next spring).
His price is the lowest in the area, which surprises me as I feel he could get away with charging more, if for nothing more than his expertise, it’s truly fascinating to listen to him talk about his work.
After he was done, we sat around and chatted for about 20 minutes about his business, other fun house stuff, etc. It was really a pleasure to work with Marvin, even if he was late for the appointment (I think he needs a personal assistant).

My experience with Marvin (the new «Jerry the Bee Guy») was absolutely top notch. He removed a ground nest wasp from under a wood pallet in our backyard quickly (under an hour) and professionally, with no chemicals!
What really sets Marvin apart from the average exterminator, though is that he is so knowledgeable about the insects he works with. I had a nest exterminated in a similar spot two years ago, and was of course frustrated (though not surprised) that they had returned. Marvin not only removed the nest, he educated me about the habits of the wasps and told me why they had come back, and gave me tips for future prevention. Oh yes, and he provided all this extra expert knowledge for less money than the previous exterminator.
He’s also a nice, friendly guy, who has found a way to make money off of his knowledge and passion for insects, and you can feel genuinely good about supporting him and his business.

We discovered a wasp nest under the eave of our house on a Saturday evening. We called Marvin otherwise known as «Jerry the Bee guy» the next morning and he came out the same afternoon. He quickly removed the nest and cleaned the residue off. Whew! Done and done. He even gave a little educational session on hives and behavior of different stinging insects. He pulled out a a couple different things to show the kids too. Really fascinating stuff and he has some great pictures too. After he removed the nest, he checked the perimeter of house and even gave us pointers of prevention. MUCH more reasonable than other similar services offered in the area. If you happen to find a bee’s nest we highly recommend this bees-​ness ;)

Marvin took over for Jerry and he uses completely poison free methods of bee and wasp and yellowjacket removal.
He came to our house because we thought we had a bee hive in a tree next to our front door. It turned out the bees just loved the tree, so he (at our request) cut down the tree for us in his bee suit.
His price was fair ($ 100 an hour, with travel) and he was friendly and informative. And he came the same day I called him. I would definitely recommend him to anyone with bee/​wasp problems.

I love when house issues can be solved so painlessly. I called Jerry up from his website and made an appointment for him to discover a suspected bees nest in our attic because there seemed to be a bee highway under one of the shingles, under the eaves of our house. My husband stayed home out of interest to discover how bad our problem might be. $ 100 first hour, $ 75 additional hours. Jerry found two basketball sized hives in our attic and vacuumed them all up. He stuffed steel wool in behind the shingles to deter the bees from returning and consulted with my husband as to how to calk later to avoid another issue. Basically in and out. Problem solved. Price reasonable. Highly recommend. I love nice people who enjoy what they do and charge reasonable rates. Thank you Jerry!

We have — still do – a hornet’s nest on a high limb and a bee hive in our upstairs walls. Jerry/​Marvin arrived in a bee suit and quickly assessed our problems. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, but we basically ended up paying him a $ 50 consulting fee.
«The hornets are harmless. No need for the nest to come down. Boy that nest is a beauty! I make handmade paper. I might call you when I start a new paper project.»

We called Green Choice. They came out right away, sprayed with a non-​toxic-​to-​humans substance and offered to come back in two weeks (no charge) if we still noticed any activity.
Save yourself the $ 50 and skip the consultation unless you’re in the mood to entertain a chatty paper craftsman.
