Keith is a different type of videographer. There’s no script. No white screens. No stilted delivery. His documentary style was exactly what I needed to showcase my personality and my business. Keith took the time to understand my message and my goals. Shooting the video was a completely comfortable process. It was like sitting down with your best friend for a cup of coffee. You forget the camera is there and just have a conversation. I couldn’t be happier with my video. It’s better than I imagined.

Keith shot and edited video for my successful Kickstarter campaign. He scheduled and directed a long photo shoot, working with amateurs and children. Despite hiccups with the talent, he was able to get all the shooting done a little ahead of schedule, and he got a lot of serendipitous footage that turned out great. Keith edited the material into several high-​quality videos, which he later edited for me as new material became available. At each and every stage, Keith maintained great communication with me, he was wonderful to work with, and I recommend him highly.

I am a job search coach and it’s important for me to articulate the difference between my coaching work and those who are career coaches. I decided to have a video created to help me tell that story on my website home page. I could not have picked a better story-​teller and video professional than Keith with Hocus Focus.

Keith has now finished three videos for me and I only have the highest praise for him and his work. I felt he was able to really capture what I do and present it in a way that looked totally professional but also down to earth. I met Keith through a small business networking group, and I was in need of a videographer’s help with a weird project so I gave him a call. I was very impressed with his professionalism and assistance, as well as with the time he took to discuss my custom situation. He was happy to help with my task – I didn’t actually want to hire a live videographer, I just wanted to pay someone to show me exactly how to create a terrific setup in my home office with tripods and mics and a lighting kit.
Not only was Keith game to help, but he gave me loads of free advice on the phone and he was willing to charge a very reasonable rate to come on site and show me how to do everything myself, so I could set things up for a great shot each time I recorded. Plus, he gave me equipment tips and was willing to vet my purchases before I spent loads of money on the wrong A/​V equipment.
After all that, one of my clients offered to barter her videography for my online dating coaching, so I didn’t end up needing to hire Keith. Honestly, I was kind of bummed! He seemed so cool to work with, and he was just so prompt and on top of things, too. As a small business owner, I often find that it’s difficult to wrangle creative types and get timely responses, so it was extra impressive to me that Keith was more organized about my project than I was. :) I would definitely hire him again in a heartbeat if I hadn’t found a free videographer, and I’ll recommend him to anyone looking for videography help, of any type!

Keith did a great job translating something that is very foreign and exotic into something beautiful and sensual. I really love what he did with the bodywork video; it was an expert job of walking the line between sensual and professional.

I worked with Keith for a mobile app video. It was a why and how to video about the app. Very well done! Keith was professional from the onset and worked diligently on the requirements sent. He also was willing to accommodate additional requests if they helped in the final quality of the product. That being said, he also ensured that he pushed back if the requests didn’t gel well with the final product — showing his great expertise and experience building videos that people actually ‘get’ and like. Being in front of the camera can be intimidating especially if you are trying to promote yourself and your business but Keith makes it feel easy. He brings the right blend of professionalism and ease to the process, listens incredibly well and will not settle for good enough.
