Lead photographer of AShapiro Studios Ari Shapiro brings nearly 30 years of photography experience and has worked as an event and sponsorship manager, so he knows what your event sponsors and clients want to see — and how to help you show them value. He’s a board member of ASMP (The American Society of Media Photographers) and is a regular educator and mentor for young and emerging photographers with studios in Seattle/​Bellevue, WA and supporting clients worldwide. He enjoys jazz music and playing golf with friends.

Ari is fantastic. I am always the photographer at family events. For my son’s first birthday I wanted to be able to participate and be in the pictures. I had Ari come and handle all the pictures and photo logistics. He asked who we wanted to make sure to have in the pictures. The pictures came out very well. Ari Shapiro photographed the Washington Global Health Alliance’s Party with a Purpose on June 3, 2010. He arrived early, was incredibly professional and managed to capture the more than 500 party attendees. He has an eye for capturing the feel of the room. What impressed me most was his follow-​up. I arrived to my office the next morning to find all of the images pared down and retouched for print and web. I absolutely recommend Dauber Art Photography and can’t wait to see what kinds of pictures Ari captures next year!

I have a complete inability to take a good photo. I see pretty flowers, I notice beautiful things all the time… but I can’t capture them to save my life! I don’t know if it’s about angles, shadows, lighting, etc. It seems like some people just have «the eye» while others don’t.
Ari from Dauber Art definitely has that elusive eye I’m speaking of. He shared some of his photos with me once when we were at a media event together. Totally speechless, I knew I had to hire him on to shoot some of my events. In addition to his talent for capturing moments, he’s the friendliest, most professional guy too!
