Our knowledgeable staff at Greenwood TrueValue focuses on providing friendly and helpful service. Many of our employees have been with the store for more than a decade, and they all have an in depth knowledge of our products and services which include glass cutting, key making and knife sharpening.

Greenwood TrueValue is a green store. We have a large selection of natural, organic and environmentally friendly products including: reel and electric mowers, fertilizers, compost & garden chemicals, house & home cleaners and natural, no-​VOC paints.

We also recycle fluorescent bulbs and rechargeable batteries.

Greenwood Hardware has been selling and installing water heaters for more than 25 years, with thousands of satisfied customers across north, south, central, east and west Seattle. Our two main lines are Bradford White and Richmond/​Rheem, and we stock a wide range of gas and electric heaters from 20 gallons to 80 gallons in different sizes and configurations to meet most needs.

History

Established in 1948.

Greenwood Hardware is a neighborhood fixture on the corner of 72^nd and Greenwood Avenue North, in Seattle, Washington. For nearly 60 years, our reputation has been based on courteous and knowledgeable employees who place the customer first.

The store was originally founded in 1948 by Ron and Helen Gowan, who ran the business until 1977, when it was sold to Ron and Robyn Lewis. In 1978, Greenwood Hardware became a member of the TrueValue buyer’s co-​op, and has since done business as Greenwood TrueValue Hardware.

In 1999, Mike and Endang Radice became the new (and current) owners of Greenwood Hardware. Under their ownership, the store continues its proud tradition of top notch neighborhood service for all customers and friends.

Winner of the National Retail Hardware Association’s 2013 Young Retailer of the Year!

Since joining in 2005, Willow has helped increase inventory productivity, gross margin and sales every year, growing sales by 13 percent in 2012 alone. As General Manager, Willow’s cumulative store sales have grown to 40 percent. She also successfully integrated a variety of green product offerings, making the store the community’s go-​to location for eco-​friendly supplies.
