Chris M was the rudest most horrible customer service person I have ever dealt with. Will never shop there again. Save your money and go somewhere else. Needed a little help buying some planters and he was totally put out that we asked a question. What a jerk.

The location is very conveniently located. However, the staff seem to take their time when processing a request. It took me 20 minutes to get a copy of a key made. They also don’t accept purchases under $ 5 for using cards, which is a bummer. Service was friendly, I just wish they were a little more efficient. This place is a little hard to find, but is really good when you’re in a pinch. The selection of materials and supplies here is pretty well encompassing. I would come back next time I’m in need of some hardware or repair supplies.

The largest selection of fasteners in the universe. Not a very large staff sometimes you have to go looking. At least they know there way around the store and understand hardware. If you don’t like their minimum charge on a credit card($ 5) policy pay with cash. It keeps the cost of doing business and the prices down. I still don’t understand why people don’t carry a few bucks for an incidental purchase.

I walked in yesterday to buy parts to rewire a vintage table lamp and much to my surprise and joy Chris not only located all the parts I needed but he offered to rewire the lamp while I waited! Of course I said«yes»! To say his customer skills are outstanding would be an understatement! Stoneway Hardware has earned a customer for life! Thank you, again, Chris! You’re the best!

Conveniently located & not a huge Corp. Downside, service. I always feel like I’m a bother to the employees. Also, they don’t take cards for purchases under $ 5. In a world where I can buy a taco with my card, this place needs to get with the times!

I really like their site on Stone way, and the ballard one too. Great alternative to the depot and others. When they get inundated with customers, or someone has paint to mix, customer service can get tricky. It’s like this everywhere. They keep a lot of people on staff and do pretty well. A lot of times, if I have a labor heavy or lengthy request(paint mix), I’ll drop it off and get a time to return for it. They’ve never let me down. I feel like this is exactly what a neighborhood hardware store should be like.

Friendly and helpful staff. I needed to make a duplicate key for a guest and they got it done very quickly and at a great price. They were also able to help me out with advice for a diy fix-it project.

StoneWay is a good local hardware store. The owner is a fair man to deal with and he cares a lot about customer service.

Giving 2 stars for convenience and price. But they have absolutely terrible customer service. Every time. I always think, «hey maybe this time someone will act happy to help me!» Nope. Never.

You can get anything you want at «Stoneway Hardware», nuts, bolts, clippers, trowels, garden equipment, «You can get anything you want at „Stoneway Hardware.“ Lawn bags, lawn rakes, hoses and more. Clippers, hedgers, rakes and more, at Stoneway Hardware» Dollies, sanders, scrappers and more. I could spend hours here exploring. Great store and the employees are WONDERFUL, really WONDERFUL. Awesome store, awesome staff and YESTHEYHAVEPARKING.

During our move to Ballard we somehow misplaced an attachment for our grill, so we headed to Stoneway! Although they didn’t have the piece we needed in stock, they were super helpful and referred us to some other local hardware stores that might carry the piece. They even called a store to see if they could stay open for us to swing buy and buy it ! Super friendly and helpful staff, definitely will be back! Glad to have a neighborhood hardware store

Someone always asks if I need help when I shop at Home Depot… so imagine my surprise when no one addressed me or asked me if I needed help finding something the entire time I was shopping at Stoneway Hardware! I would have imagined that the staff at this small hardware store would be more attentive and friendly than at a big store. If not, why wouldn’t I go to a Home Depot or Lowes where there is a larger selection?

Bless this place! Whether you are looking for something super easy like drywall patching material or specific router bit, this place has it and all the guys working there will happily(and quickly) take you directly to it. Perfect neighborhood hardware store and delightful departure from the Big Box.

It may not be the best place to buy a large volume of material and it doesn’t have quite the same crazy mystique and sense of discovery that Hardwick’s has, but this is definitely my go-to place for everything. They always have exactly what you need and it is always quality. So glad to have them in my neighborhood.

LADIES! This is the place for you. I have never gotten ill-treated as a woman coming in looking for anything. I go in with a man and they still talk to ME when I ask the questions. That’s HUGE and any woman who’s ever been talked down to in a hardware store knows what I’m saying. We have always gotten friendly service, I can explain my project and they don’t talk down to me even if they’re saying«you know what might work better for you.» And if I say I don’t like that solution they don’t take it personally. I ask for directions to anything in the store and they will either give specific directions(like when I was looking for a step stool) or take me there and help me find exactly what I want(like every other time when I’ve been looking for fasteners of some kind). Always considerate, always kind, always listening to what I need and making sure I’ve got the right product for the job(like making sure I grabbed stainless steel for bike screws). They don’t always have exactly what we’re looking for or the best selection of anything that is bigger than your hand. But when it comes to fasteners, they really do.

You can’t find nicer, more helpful people than at Stoneway Hardware, and an excellent selection of everything I could possibly need for my various projects. I had a lot of questions about a project, and not only did they give me excellent guidance, they went above and beyond to help me and offer additional suggestions, which were much appreciated. They spent a lot of time with me and seemed happy to do so. They also went the extra mile and delivered the big, bulky items to my house, since they wouldn’t fit in my car! That was just the BEST. Their customer service is tops, and the fact that they delivered to my house ensures that I will go out of my way to go to Stoneway Hardware from now on, even though there are hardware stores nearer to my house. It’s worth it for the knowledgeable staff and outstanding customer service. Thanks, guys!

I came into Stoneway Hardware with a very specific need. You know those circular paper keychain things you can label what the key is for? That was my need. And the Stoneway dude was very nice to point them out for me and they were super cheap… a quarter apiece. The entire time I was checking out, the guy was whistling, which really added to the overall experience. I’m not sure if everybody will get the musical checkout concert at Stoneway, but I would bet everybody gets friendly service there.

Service is spotty, and clerks aren’t at the cash registers when needed. Limited in stock; needed contact paper, but their selection was scant; that’s ok, because I found what I needed, including help, at Freddy’s. Apparently they have a minimum on debit purchases, too. The patron in front of me was encouraged to buy a candy bar so his total hit the minimum. Why not just change an ATM surcharge? Guess that’s not as lucrative? When it was finally my turn to check out, the cashier asked ME how much the wood screws I was purchasing cost. Isn’t it HIS job to know or to check? Meh. I’ve experienced better, and I won’t be back.

So I just happen to live on a boat in the Fremont/Lower Queen Anne area and sometimes have special needs for finding things to work on projects on the dock. Stoneway always seems to have what I need and more. This is my one stop shop for anything. If its a screw, bolt, fastener, washer, or tool you need… they have it. The staff there is always helpful and able to tell you where to find things and will always guide you to them. Its basically a man cave of stuff. I could walk around and blow a whole paycheck easily there at any point. All they need is a bar, some pizza, and ESPN and I might just move in and pay rent…
