Rejuvenation

A loyal customer of Rejuvenation, wanted to obtain measurements for a medicine cabinet, research entry porch/​bathroom lighting, and inquire about their new in-​home design service. Guess what ended up walking out disappointed because none of the four employees working (I question that they were busy talking) took the time to even acknowledge that we were there!

Beautiful fixtures, nice service in the store. However they won’t repair their own fixtures when they fail after 2 years of purchase; even if it is less than 3 years old, you are on your own. We invested in light fixtures from here for a major remodel of our home completed in April 2013 (now February 2016), so they are not quite 3 years old. One of our custom pendant lamps over our kitchen island has been failing for a couple of months. (The contact between the bulb and the fixture didn’t hold up, and the light flickers off all the time. We have to jiggle the bulb to get the light to go back on. Then after a few minutes it goes back off.) I just called the store and was disappointed to hear (very politely) that this is our problem, not theirs. 2 year warranty. After that – even less than a year after that – it’s all yours to take somewhere else for repair. They won’t even let you bring it back to them for repairs; you must take it elsewhere. A light fixture failing after less than 3 years of use seems odd, but the lack of service is even more surprising and disappointing.

Upscale mix of antique, refurbished, and new reproduction items. A really nice store if you have money. Fun to walk around if you don’t. They have some art and really interesting things. I will come back for dreaming and inspiration. Great Place!

My experience with an online purchase of light fixtures from Rejuvenation Hardware was excellent. The fixtures are beautiful — the quality is obvious in the finish and details. Customer service was outstanding. The phone representatives were helpful and gracious to work with. When it appeared that parts needed for my order were not available, the customer service department went out of its way to make it possible to complete the order and ship it to me as soon as possible. I was impressed. I was also very pleased that they have such a wide selection of styles and finishes in lighting fixtures — even in polished brass, which is so hard to find elsewhere. Rejuvenation has my highest recommendation.

As we slowly remodel our home we keep finding ourselves frequently visiting this store. The pricing seems fair but is on the higher end. It seems reasonable given the quality.
The staff is always helpful but make sure you call in advance if purchasing a large quantity because some items are limited.
Worth checking out if you are into nicer home décor

If you have a house that wasn’t built in the last 20 years, chances are you’re going to need Rejuvenation at some point or another when the multitude of building salvage/​recycling shops in town come up short.
Their selection of period-​appropriate lighting and hardware will help maintain or enhance your home’s original character, or help undo some unfortunate «update» from the 70s or 80s.
The showroom can be little overwhelming if you’re just shopping for ideas, but the staff is pretty helpful and can help pull together the right fixture for your tastes or needs. Otherwise, it’s fun to stroll through the store just to check out the cool light bulb options and random collections of things like sash weights or vintage seltzer bottles.
The biggest drawback is that their stuff is a little pricy. More than once, we’ve staged lighting purchases to avoid ponying up the full cost of bases and globes when refreshing the lighting in several room. Fortunately their selection is pretty predictable to let you get away with this, and this is the price of quality craftsmanship.
If you’re patient or not particularly choosy, you can browse the sale/​closeout section in the back, you might find just what you’re looking for at a significant discount. We scored our dining room chandelier for 40% off. It had been a return, but was essentially brand new — it had never even been installed.
Although they’re now part of the Williams-​Sonoma retail group, they’re still based just down the road in Portland and still have the same attention to craftsmanship and quality that helped make them the largest vintage lighting and hardware company in the country.

I guess they have lighting here… but that’s not all they have! They also have a wide selection of knobs and accessories, and even some beautiful furniture in a variety of styles, from clean and classic mid century to guilded in gold leaf to hollywood regency to industrial chic. I found some amazing bar carts and desks/​sofa tables I would love to have if I needed them, as well as some neat scissors and wall mount bottle openers and letter openers. Nothing I needed, per se, but I went home with an amazing bulldog wall mount bottle opener all the same. It looks like a gargoyle, and is maybe not the most functional thing ever, but is just quirky enough.
I found a chair that I wanted to buy and have delivered, but was told they don’t deliver. Since others are talking about delivery on Unilocal,I’m not sure what’s going on there — if it’s just a quirk that they don’t deliver what they carry in stock, or what.
Prices are a little on the more expensive side, but the collection is well tailored and prices are not unreasonable. I can see coming back here when I have a need for furniture, and don’t want to spend time weeding through all the junk at the typical antique store.

If you like lighting, you must visit this shop (though the Portland locationis nicer). The Seattle location is smaller than Portland location. You’ll find reproduction handcrafted vintage lighting and shades, plumbing, hardware and random pieces of interest (e.g., candles, dishes) in an old SODO building with 25 foot ceilings. It’s the perfect place to see their products and gather advice. Their strong suit is lighting with styles ranging from Victorian to Mid-​Century Modern. I’ve seen their lamps all over Portland and Seattle. All their pendant lamps are custom made.
Towards the back, they have a small selection of restored antique lamps, one of a kind pieces and vintage reproduction light bulbs.

Boo. Terrible customer service. I ordered a pendant light. Installed it, when I came home the ceramic canopy was lying in the floor shattered. An inconvenience in and of itself but when I called, the first saleswoman was all out rude and the next guy (manager?) was not helpful and requested – without apology for the inconvenience – that I need to bring the whole thing in, not just the canopy, and wait 6 weeks for it to be replaced. I’m sorry, but this is not what I expect from a premium supplier. It’s not worth my time, so I expect I’ll just go with ¾s of a product I paid good money for.

Gorgeous stuff, but overpriced. I understand the need for some pieces to be priced high, but overall the prices are just too much for the average home restoration project.

Some days you just gotta get a Rejuvenation fix.
Stopped in over the weekend because it had been way too long since I’d been, and I was just hankering to browse their incredibly cool stuff.
The Seattle Rejuvenation store does not have the square footage of its big sister in Portland, but it makes the most of the space it does have. Lots of brilliantly-​styled lights, cabinet hardware, door knobs, door bells, clocks, vases, vintage seltzer bottles…
Also, my husband and I were both happy to note that, it seems every time we go into the Seattle Rejuvenation store, they have more and more actual salvaged good, too.
We definitely prefer «vintage» home décor to modern, so Rejuvenation gives us lots to love at every turn.

Really really bad customer service. You have a niche market but don’t make us work for basic customer service. Stick to the catalog if you need/​want something. Don’t bother going to the store as they «stock» very little and will not even give you a break on shipping.

Great hardware. Probably the worst service in any renovation store in Seattle. Rude and inattentive.

Rejuvenation has beautiful stuff but their customer service is atrocious. I have ordered probably 10 times from then (and that is 10 orders, not 10 items) and each time I go in there I feel like I am reinventing the wheel as they try to pull up my account. Most recently I purchased some knobs for kitchen cabinets — order was placed on Aug 8. By Oct 1 I still hadn’t received them, nor had I gotten ANY info — email, phone call — about why. I called them and was told that unless they were backordered AGAIN they should ship Oct 11. Great. At least the lady on the phone was very nice and apologetic, but come on, 2 MONTHS and no news? That is ridiculous.

On the positive side, there are some really beautiful things here. I found them to be extremely over priced. I understand the priciness for some things, but i found that overall it was just too much.
They have beautiful things, and if you can afford it it’s a nice store. But don’t go here if you’re looking for a deal.

What a beautiful store. Went here to look for outdoor lights. Didn’t find anything that would fit the mounting plaque that we had but they had a lot of beautiful things. It was defnitely fun looking at all the things they had. It was very cool to see the reclaimed stuff.

The definitive authority of period hardware (think hinges, peep holes, andirons, face plates, etc…) and lamps (think glass shades and arts and crafts pottery)
Past elegance comes alive with meticulous remakes of beautiful lamps and fixtures, mixed with authentic architectural salvage. This shop is the little cousin of the original Portland store, which has become a bit of a tourist attraction due to its deep stock of century old salvage.
You’ll also find some great Arts and Crafts period furniture (Stickley, etc) if you own a Craftsman home, this place is MUST. From old world coat hooks to banister hardware, this place is authentic and fun. Almost like visiting a prop house on a Hollywood lot.

Not to fret, the good people at Rejuve have created an «old house style guide» that is a handy wheel of information to help you stay true to your homes period pieces.
These people really know their hardware, along with lighting, and anything else you might need to replace in your home because it’s almost 100 years old.
Along with great merchandise, and a knowledgeable staff, the prices seem downright reasonable.
