We purchased an exterior door and had to get some hardware for it — no problem, we thought, the internet has it all! Well, it turns out that buying hardware is a lot more complicated than we realized, but we knew exactly what we wanted and went over to Builders’ Hardware. We explained what we were looking for and the salesman pointed us to exactly what we wanted, explained some of the features, recommended one brand over another, and the cost was significantly less than what our internet research revealed.
I love the convenience of buying things online, but when you need an expert opinion, stores with salespeople who know their business are priceless. Builders’ Hardware is one of those stores!

I hired a carpenter to fence off my yard after a rash of forced entry robberies in my neighborhood were staged through backyard windows in broad daylight.
My carpenter suggested I contact Builders’ Hardware for the door handles and a deadlocks for the heavy duty gate doors he built for me. I spoke with Builders’ customer service over the phone, and after a few emails with photos of handles I found the design I wanted. I placed my order and was told the parts I ordered were on clearance with special pricing. :) :) The other nice perk was they re-​keyed the locks I bought to work with my house key so I only have to carry one key to access my home and backyard.

This should be the go-​to place for local hardware and a great way to avoid the big box stores. However, every time I go in I have to take a number and WAIT. I can’t think of any other retail experience where one has to wait so long for a salesperson. Today I left after 15 minutes.
Given the showroom environment of this store Builder’s Supply it would be very easy for a customer to get frustrated and just order the product over the internet. That would be unfortunate.

Was in a major bind today when some parts I had delivered over night for a job I was working never showed up. Being from out of town I wasn’t sure where, locally, to turn. Luckily I found Builder’s Hardware on Google which, of course, led me to their Unilocal reviews.
I called them and they had exactly what I needed and really saved my a$$!! All of the folks I dealt with were very nice. I would definitely recommend this company.

Friendly friendly people, but I placed an order, was told I would get a call back (didn’t happen), was told the order would get here on a certain day (didn’t), after two weeks late i was told it would be sent specially mail and I would receive it by «Friday» (didn’t happen), then told it would be sent again special delivery and arrive «Wednesday» (didn’t happen), called and left messages (no call back). Friendly and good selection, but follow though was extremely bad.

Builder’s Hardware is a great place for all sorts of specialty hardware, like drawer-​pulls, knobs, hinges, cabinet hardware, etc.

I needed a plastic drawer guide and had been to several stores, tried it at home, and hadn’t had any luck. Each piece I tried was about $ 2.00.
Went in to Builder’s Supply and not only did they spend time making sure I had the correct piece but it was only 65 cents.
Can’t describe how good it feels to have my silverware drawer back in again rather than getting dirty in my counter.
What a quick, personable experience vs. the mega stores.

I am writing duplicate reviews for the Seattle and Bellevue stores because, during our recent kitchen remodel project, we went back and forth between the two and were fully satisfied with both.
We were doing a kitchen remodel and needed knobs/​handles for our new cabinets and drawers. We wanted something a little funky and out-​of-​the-​ordinary. We happened upon the Bellevue store first and spent a happy while perusing their very extensive collection.
We made our selections (after a follow-​up visit to the Seattle store which is conveniently located about two minutes from where I work). We were told the knobs we’d selected for our upper cabinets had been discontinued; they had in stock the EXACT number that we needed. The good news: We could get these for a great price. The bad news: If we ever needed an extra for any reason, we were out of luck. We really wanted these, though (and they matched what we’d picked out for our lower cabinets and drawers), so decided to go for it. The good folks at Builder’s Hardware then gave us the floor model at no charge so we’d have an extra.
A small problem with our upper cabinet knobs order was resolved quickly and efficiently. We returned one of the drawer handles, which was to be used for a drawer style dishwasher in favor of sturdier dedicated appliance pull. The return was handled smoothly and the staff worked with us to find an appliance pull that fully complemented the other hardware we’d purchased.
Pros: Great customer service. They let you browse in peace, but provide excellent advice when asked. There were no problems with any of transactions. Items that needed to be ordered arrived within the time frame indicated. Quality products offered at reasonable prices.
Cons: None that we encountered.

They’ve got knobs! Lots and lots of knobs!
…OK, I’m done snickering.
They also have drawer pulls and handles, any kind of hinge you could possibly ever want, a few very expensive and heavy looking bathroom fixtures, and locks. And the aforementioned knobs… for doors… just want to be clear.
The products they carry fall under the category of «Hardware.» Don’t be tricked — this is not a hardware store.
And while I left empty handed (I was looking for flooring materials) I know where to go when I want to install an ornate lock on my shoe closet.
