RubyRide is a personalized car and driver service. We specialize in serving your work commute, school, errands, doctor’s appointments, airport trips, nightlife, carpooling, child transportation, short trips, late nights, and customized plans.

History

Established in 2009.

RubyRide was the brainchild of one of Phoenix’s most prominent Architects, Jeff Ericson. Ericson had spent decades creating places for people to live and work and quickly realized that there were terrible inefficiencies in the way people get to and from those destinations. Ericson wanted to bridge the transportation gap by cutting down on the need to create and maintain wasteful parking lots, as well as reduce the time spent in traffic and improve air quality, but he knew it had to be done right. In late 2009, RubyRide was conceptualized and in late 2013 began servicing customers in Downtown Phoenix. Since then RubyRide has spread throughout the Valley of the Sun and is servicing all types of needs for all ages of poeple in the Phoenix-​Metropolitan area continuing on the those very principles which inspired RubyRide’s birth all those years ago.

Business Owner

Jeff has led design teams, construction crews, and large real estate development efforts, all aimed at making Phoenix a more urban, resilient, and vibrant place to live and visit. He has designed large multi-​family projects like Grigio Tempe Town Lake for Gray Development; developed innovative urban-​infill projects like 3008 in Mid-​town; advised on Transit-​oriented and high-​density projects in Tempe and Phoenix. The design-​build firm he ran with his wife, Woolsey Studio, Inc., is a case study of his ability to create excellence, from initial concept all the way through to the finishing touches. Ruby Ride is a result of his disciplined engagement with the traffic, congestion, parking, and long-​term stress that driving in Phoenix necessarily brings with it. Meticulously studying the movement patterns of people living their lives.
