Description

Specialties

First opened more than sixteen years ago in Savannah, Georgia, the Six Pence Pub has grown to become the first choice for great food, and drink in a cozy, congenial, conversation friendly atmosphere. We are proud to say we’re the most authentic English pub in Georgia. In 2001, Six Pence opened a second location in Blowing Rock, NC, and in 2006 a third in Fort Mill, SC; both with the same authenticity and friendly service.

We offer a full menu throughout the day, and into the late night. If you’re looking for a fun, welcoming place to relax with friends over a pint, or some traditional American, and British food, come join us at the Six Pence Pub.

History

Established in 1999.

The Six Pence Pub was established in the Historic District of Savannah Georgia at a site that had been a Pub for more than forty years. In Savannah, Wally’s Sixpence was the place to meet and greet new and old friends, and just keep up with each other’s lives. Wally and Doris, being from London England knew how to make our British expatriates, and locals feel right at home. Wally was long on conversation, and Doris would prepare lunch at home (there was no kitchen in the Pub) to serve to patrons until either it was gone, or when Wally and Doris just wanted to go home for the afternoon.

In 1999 two gentlemen with too much time on their hands purchased their favorite watering hole, and began expanding the beer, wine, and liquor, selection as well as adding a full menu of traditional English and American comfort foods. The interior was changed to what you see today. As the months passed the Six Pence Pub & Restaurant became a favorite of locals and tourists alike. We are proud
