Flip Flop Tiki Bar and Grill

My boyfriend and I went here strictly for drinks, he got a beer and I got there drink special called Parrot Punch, it was only 5 $! And absolutely delicious, I’d definitely recommend it, though I’m not sure how long it will be offered. They also changed to tv to the game we wanted to watch. Extremely friendly staff and atmosphere.

My friend and I stopped in cause I heard this was a fun place. NOT! We sat at the bar for about half an hour until the bartender, Ben decided to come over. He could NOT have been more rude. He acted like we were bothering him just being there. Not friendly at all.
We had the fish tacos, which had the smallest piece of fish and drowned in sauce. It was NO fun at all being there at all. It was just dark and dreary. Poor management I suppose.

If you are looking for a wonderful sports bar and great conversation stop in. Not to mention the appetizers are the bomb! Thanks Laney for a great time.

Really like the food here, it is always fresh and delicious. They don’t fry anything on the site so you have some better healthier options. Also, no freezers so they keep things fresh! I love the Southwest Pork Salad or their burgers are made with local beef and they are SO good. The nachos here are also quite good, yummy melty queso and their lime crema is a nice cooling element.
Also, servers are also great and drink specials everyday.

My husband and I decided to stop here and get a quick bite to eat. The beer selection was just okay, nothing special. We ordered the Bangin’ Burger and the Kitchen Sink burger, and they were both really good. The service was slow – it took nearly 40 minutes for us to get our food, even though there were only two other couples eating in the restaurant. The waitress was nice and friendly. Overall, the food was good, service pretty slow for not being busy.

I LOVE tiki, if only because it seems like nobody else does! Although the décor isn’t the fanciest, the servers and bartenders are great, the drinks are cheap, and the food is yummy. Trust me, get the chips and dip — included is a cilantro lime sour cream that is to die for. Tiki is also great for sporting events because they have around 4 big tvs and a projection screen. The burgers and tacos are both great, and I love the garlicky potato salad because potatoes and garlic are among two of my favorite things. If nothing else, it’s a great stopping place for your Savannah bar crawl.

I stopped in briefly for take-​out after kicking back a few drinks at World of Beer. Their beer selection didn’t pop out at all, but the Georgian Shrimp with Pico de Gallo and the Blackened Fish with some sort of creamy pico de gallo that I ordered to go was probably the best fish tacos I’ve had in the great state of Georgia.
My meal also came with garlicky potato salad which paired very well with the tacos and calming down my soon-​to-​be hangover as well. I may have to overlook their lack of good beer and come back for an actual meal here sometime.

Wasn’t crazy about the décor (way too tacky beach bar for me) but I was pleasantly surprised. The service was great (even offered sodas to go which I always appreciate) even though we had to knock and ask them to unlock the door for us (even though it was past their opening time). My burger was very good — the mushrooms and caramelized onions on top were cooked perfectly (very impressed) though I asked for the burger medium and it was definitely well done. I liked the black beans and rice side — very flavorful. My friends loved their dishes too. So overall impressed and I would go back. Service was really quick too!

I’ve eaten here twice. The first time, I got a pulled pork sandwich and some bacon-​wrapped shrimp, and it was pretty good.
But hopefully they were just having an off night on my second visit, because it was not a good experience. Despite not being very crowded, our food took nearly an hour to come out of the kitchen. The chicken club sandwich I ordered was fine, right up until I got to the center of the sandwich and bit down on the core of the pineapple, which hadn’t been removed. A note to whoever prepared my sandwich… That part of the pineapple is not edible. Feel free to try biting through one yourself if you don’t believe me.
I didn’t complain about any of this, which made it all the more odd when our server was blatantly rude to one of the other individuals at my table. Being nice to people is your job. I don’t care if you’ve had a long day. If we’re being perfectly nice to you, don’t be rude. That’s why we didn’t tip you very well.
I don’t think I’ll go back here anytime soon.

Both the vibe and the food are very good at Flip Flop, and it is worth a try for sure. I had the tacos with the black bean cake and my husband had the fish tacos. We were both really happy with how fresh and delicious the food was. The atmosphere was really good too. They have nice big tables so you don’t feel smooshed in at all. I would recommend this place as a great spot for a yummy meal

Atmosphere is great! Good music, neither too soft nor too loud. Good food.

We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It is really cute restaurant, the name and décor go nicely together. I had the Tropical Chicken Salad Wrap with the Garlicky Potato Salad. The menu said the chicken salad was «mayonnaise based», but I think drowned in mayonnaise would have been a better description since all I could taste was mayonnaise and that I was able to squeeze the equivalent of a to go mayo packet out of one side of the wrap. The potatoes were garlicky enough to keep all vampires in a tri-​county radius away, garlic flavor was incredibly over powering.
Service was fine, one server working the small dining room.
I really wanted to enjoy it, but I didn’t.

We kept biking by this place and smelling amazing hamburgers, so we gave it a try. My husband got a varietal of a cheeseburger both times. I had the southwestern pork salad, which was mouthwateringly delicious. All of their meats are local and grass-​fed, and the food is very reasonably priced for the quality. The mixed drinks were undrinkably strong each time we went, which is the only reason I hacked off a star. Super Yums

Great little restaurant slightly off the beating path. I had the ‘banging burger’ which they make with local grass fed beef and it was one of the best burgers I have had in awhile. Definitely worth checking out.

Me being the «loves to try a new restaurant» type of person that I am, had been wanting to try out this new restaurant with the interesting name in the old location of Larry’s Subs downtown. The décor is cute. Its something like what you would expect a place with this name would look like, but not over the top. The tables didn’t feel crowded, which is always a plus.
On to the important part: the food! I had the jerk chicken sandwich with sweet potato chips, and my wife had the pork tacos with a side salad. The sandwich was good if not amazing (it reminded me in a strange way of a pulled pork sandwich, which is a good thing to me). The chips were great. I didn’t sample any of my wife’s food, but she seemed pretty happy with what she had. Probably my biggest knock against them would be that their food prices are a bit high for lunch (menu seems to be an anytime menu, so the prices aren’t bad for dinner). The sandwich portion was pretty generous, however, for what its worth.
The service was good. All in all, its a nice addition to the downtown dining scene.
