History

Established in 2015.

Putt Gutt was the nickname given to Co-owner, Sheree Campbell’s, mother Delores by her sister Shirley. When Aunt Shirley passed away; they thought that using the name for their idea of a business would not only be a sentimental way to pay homage to her legacy, but also a way to show how much they love their families and the tradition of cooking with them. All in all, everyone felt Putt Guttz was a very catchy name that meant a lot to everyone.

Michael and Sheree Campbell envision Putt Guttz as being a Bakery and Deli specializing in homemade made from scratch soups, salads, sandwiches, and specialty desserts. They also have a love of making Soul Food, and other southern traditional dishes. Their menu will include low fat options, and is describe by them as being a menu designed for and that caters to eclectic appetites.

Signature sandwiches with sentimental value, like PJ’s Tuna Sandwiches; The Putt Guttz Prime Rib Sandwich — all served with homemade regular and/or sweet potat

Business Owner

Michael and Sheree Campbell met when she was in the first grade. Mike or Campbell as she lovingly calls him was three years older than her. At the time, Sheree and his sister were best friends. Due to their age difference, after elementary school they never attended school together again. Soon Mike graduated, and joined the Army where he served four years active duty, and one year reserves.

Their paths crossed again when Sheree started working at Morrison/Piccadilly Restaurants with his sister. When Mike returned from duty, he also was hired to work for Morrison/Piccadilly. Of course, they reconnected, and in 1995 they married. This year they will be celebrating their 20th anniversary!

Mike Campbell has an impressive Hospitality/Restaurant/Food Service Management/Cooking background having worked for the Pirates House, the Mulberry Inn, and Morrison’s/Piccadilly Restaurants. However, Mike will tell you that he has been cooking since he was 12 years old. He graduated Savann
