I am writing this review based on the phone conversation I had with an assistant at the spa. I was trying to purchase a gift certificate for spa treatments for my mother in law who will be moving to Savannah. This spa was recommended by family. The price for a signature manicure and pedicure(as listed on their website) is $ 90 and a basic 50 minute facial is $ 115 and there’s a mandatory 22% gratuity. My math worked out that it would cost me $ 250.10 for that package, but somehow their math was working out to $ 262.30. The person I was speaking with tried to break down the math as such: 22% gratuity of $ 60 +$ 40 is $ 22. I interrupted her to tell her $ 90 is not the same as $ 100. I know math is a challenge for a lot of people, however if you work in retail it should be a requirement. I have been contacting them for the last 2 weeks, and I decided to go with a more expensive and luxurious spa to treat my MIL because it was so aggravating.

Had the 60 minute deep tissue massage with Mary and it was hands-down(no pun intended) THEBESTMASSAGE I have ever experienced. She is very skillful and found all my knots and worked them out without torturing me. Plus the little extras: hot towels after an area was massaged, scented oils, a minifacial with steam… I highly recommend her.

My new fav spa location, The décor is beautiful! The atmosphere is so relaxing. In the relaxation room you find varying levels of comfy seating options, gorgeous lighting, snacks and refreshing cucumber water served in real glasses and dishes. Classy! My personal physician is a regular here for facials with Brittani and now I can say I know why. I have had many facials in my lifetime and can honestly say I agree that her technique is amazing. The room was clean with relaxing music, and that heated bed was all that! Ask for her and see for yourself! I had a pedicure on my previous visit and the darn thing lasted a over a month! For realz! Sooo overall I am a fan and will be a regular. I am looking forward to my next visit for my message!

This spa is located in the Mansion hotel. The staff is professional and attentive. We had a couple’s massage, which was very relaxing. It’s a very small spa, but they have an extensive menu of services.

My husband and I booked reservations at the spa using a Travelzoo deal online. The conversations with staff via phone and email were friendly and my questions were answered before the trip. They gave a phone call to confirm the reservation the day before. We were greeted at the spa and given a locker, robe, slippers, and towel before our reservations. We got there early so we could utilize the fitness center beforehand(nice benefit). The equipment in the fitness center was clean and included various cardio machines and free weights. The locker room was a little small for the women with only one toilet, one shower, a couple sinks, and a locker/changing area. Husband said it was the same for the men but he was the only man in the spa the whole time we were there. :-) The waiting area had some chairs and couches, tea, ice water, and nuts/dried fruit. My husband and I both got massages which were excellent. The massage rooms had good lighting and the therapists made sure we were comfortable. I also got a pedicure at the spa after my massage. The room for manicures/pedicures looked like it had been previously used for a massage room as it was extremely small. There was only one chair for manicures and one for pedicures. The nail technician was friendly and knowledgable but the experience was not as good as some of my previous pedicures. The chair was a little uncomfortable as well. Overall we had a great time at the spa and we would come back for the massages.

So relaxing– I thoroughly enjoyed my spa treatments at Poseidon Spa. Thewaiting area was next to the manicure area… they might have been under construction, so maybe there were more lounging areas that weren’t accessible when I was visiting… that would have been more comfortable waiting in my spa robe, than sitting near the entrance next to someone getting their manicure. The locker room area was a little small, but I was the only visitor at the time, so it was fine… if the spa was at capacity, I would have felt a little cramped. I also wish the shower stall had an attached curtained/doomed dressing area, with more hooks for towels and robes. Gorgeous location inside the Mansion on Forsyth Park.

What a pleasant experience! My wife and I came here for a couples massage and we are glad we did! The facility was beautiful and the massage was great for both of us. The staff was friendly and professional, if ever in Savannah again we will be back!

Very disappointed!!! My sister recently got married in Savannah, GA and bought a groupon for mani/pedis for all of the bridesmaids. I was so excited especially after reading the great reviews. The spa itself was nice and the staff was friendly, but all of our nails had chips before the wedding the next day. My mother went and bought polish and re-did her nails herself. I get better manicures from the $ 13 place down the street from my apartment. Would never go back.

I had the opportunity to visit the spa this saturday. My facial was amazing, one of the best I have had. My pedicure was nice(although the tech was running late for my appointment) until I got dressed and went into the lobby and realized that the paint job was very poor and one of my nails was jagged. My nail technician was already with another client so the receptionist told me that she would give me 15% off of my service. Word to the wise, check out your manicures and pedicures in the light before leaving your technician. Essentially I paid $ 45 plus a mandatory 22% gratuity fee to have to return home and do my own polish. Lastly, there is a small waiting room with fresh fruit and tea which is nice, individual steam shower room in the locker rooms, and an outside pool, however, no real place to stretch out and relax before or after a service.

If you haven’t yet been to the Poseidon Spa, get there. And if you’re local, get there before they stop giving a «local-only» discount on selected services(unfortunately, for non-locals, they DO check I.D.‘s). The atmosphere is tranquil and beautiful, and since it’s a basement spa, you don’t have any noise from the outside streets or hotel guests to interrupt your time. If it’s your first time, they give you a tour. I like the fire and water wall, and the fresh fruit, snacks, and variety of waters and juices that are out in the waiting area. They provide you with a locker, a robe, and a pair of sandals, though they don’t give you very clear instructions on what to do when you’re done with them(there’s a wall that you put them in when you’re done… and a VERYSMALL sign that denotes this… I also accidentally walked out with my locker key once). While I can’t vouch for manicures or pedicures, I can say that they have lovely massage rooms, and the therapists are quiet(which for some reason seems to be a problem these days– talking during my massage? I think not). I also received a great facial last The cons: I do wish that that the Swedish massage included a face rub(my last one did not), that the facial included a lip balm of some sort(they do one at the Savannah Day Spa), and that they remembered the specifics of what I asked for my couple’s massage(they were going to put us in separate rooms when I specifically asked for one together when I came in to book). However, I really do love this spa. My boyfriend said that his massage was just PERFECT(I got him a deep tissue), and it’s just next to Forsyth Park, so we walked to the Café for lunch. If you’re from out of town, it’s worth the trip downstairs. If you’re a local, it’s more than worth it. Do eet nao. Your spouse/lover/aching muscles will thank me later.
