Park Avenue Manor

On our first trip to Savannah, we stayed at Park Avenue Manor. I originally booked it because it was listed as gay friendly, and we really fell in love with the owners when we booked our room.
Upon arrival, we found out that the property had recently been sold to Sabrina, and luckily we felt just as at home with her as we expected to feel with the previous owners. The Savannah room was comfy and adorable, there was coffee and tea promptly at 730 each morning, which was appreciated. Breakfast was wonderful, and we dined with several couples from all over the world during our four night stay. The brownies were also a nice treat!
It was quiet at night, and within walking distance to everything – even River St if you don’t mind walking several blocks on a pretty day. It’s also across the street from Forsyth Park, which was wonderfully convenient.
If you want to feel at home on your stay in Savannah, don’t miss this adorable historic home. It was southern hospitality at its best, and a girl from Nashville sure does appreciate that!

A wonderful, funky Victorian B&B. Loved the Victorian details. Very nicely done, fun and funky, great amenities (brownies, sherry, refrigerator on each floor, round-​the-​clock coffee). The room was amazing– fun & comfortable. Breakfast was THE meal for the day! YUM. Didn’t get to meet Glenn but Maurice was the perfect host and made sure that all guests had met one another and were comfortable. Had a great discussion at breakfast, which is the NICEST thing about the B&B experience. Would definitely go back.

This was a great place to stay for our first anniversary and we enjoyed every minute of it. Maurice and Glenn are wonderful! They gave us great tip son where to go around the city and things to do. The room was tastefully decorated and the bed was insanely comfortable. Seriously I had one of the best nights’ sleep in my life. The location was perfect, so close to everything in the city. Forsyth park was amazing! So beautiful… All in all we can’t wait to come back one day. Love this place. Oh and the breakfast was delicious!

Nice B&B, gracious hosts, good breakfast, clean and comfy. I have been to other B&Bs and are superb or 5 star for even less the price! At park Ave, breakfast was on time but I wish it was not and instead, a time frame so you are able to enjoy your sleep especially if you have a late night out and you somehow evade socializing with other guests esp. if you don’t feel like it. I wish towels and even sheets were white so you know they were sanitized with chlorine at least. The location is good and close to the park but at the same time a little sketchy for me especially at night time. I even saw a man at day time urinating in the middle of the park for everyone to see, while he might be drunk, police visibility would have avoided these creeps. Also I don’t think tomatoes should be serve at breakfast time especially twice in a row! Great B&B overall!

Absolutely love the Park Avenue Manor! Not only is the structure itself beautiful inside and out, the breakfast was AMAZING! I’m normally not a breakfast eater at all — but I ate every single breakfast put in front of me because it was delicious!
The other awesome part of staying at the Manor were the fabulous innkeepers — Maurice and Glenn. We were there on a wedding planning research expedition and the resources and ideas the gentlemen gave us have actually turned out to be the final plans for our wedding — we would have never known about the hidden gems and vendors without their help.
Others staying at the Manor were also given ideas on tours, directions, dining, you name it. Each morning the other guests came back raving about the suggestions as well!
Without a doubt — go visit the Park Avenue Manor — you’ll love it! :)

I absolutely loved this B&B which made sure I had a true Savannah experience. Glen and Maurice were great hosts, making us feel very welcomed and helping us navigate throughout town. The rooms are adorable and cozy (loved the crawl legged tub!) And the courtyard out back was a really serene spot to just relax in the evening or sip tea at in the morning. Breakfast was phenomenal, starting our day off right! It was always nice to gather in the morning with the fellow B&B visitors. There were always fresh brownies and sherry out, along with a keurig for coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Also, ghe location was perfect, everything was in walked distance, which is a nice change for where i live. Local, and the crystal beer parlor were two restaurants that we really enjoyed which were right around the corner, and a suggestion of Glen. I absolutely loved my stay here last week, and would for sure visit this B&B when I am in Savannah next.

The Park Avenue Manor is a superb bed and breakfast in a wonderful city. It is comfortable, impeccably clean, and the breakfasts are just right. And… you could not wish for better hosts! Our extended family had a reunion in Savannah, and used all 5 rooms one weekend; we spent a lot of time together in the common areas, which were also comfortable.
Glenn and Maurice were accommodating and helpful, with little touches that made our stay memorable. It is obvious that they take great pride in their B & B, and enjoy helping their guests get the most out of their stay in Savannah. They also know a great deal about both the city and the surrounds, and help their guests make arrangements for anything they need. You could not find a better B & B in Savannah!

I cannot believe that this B&B has received anything less than five stars. In fact, I’m shocked. This is by far the most amazing B&B my fiancé and I have ever stayed at. I CANNOT say enough good things about this house as well as it’s outstanding owners, Maurice and Glen. We found this beautiful place on-​line and were surprised that a Top Five B&B was so reasonable in prices. Surely there had to be a catch? Absolutely not, Glen and Maurice take a true pride in their establishment and present nothing but the best to their guests. We were treated like family from the second we called and booked our room. Like another reviewer stated, breakfast is served at one time with all of the guests seated together. What a great time to meet other travelers and get their opinions on places to eat and things to do! The breakfast was perfect, the coffee delicious, and you would you believe it was served on CHINA? Maurice and Glen do not skimp on anything and do whatever they can to help you feel at home in their beautiful B&B. We stayed in two different rooms: The Savannah Room and the Colony Room — both unique, comfortable, and perfectly decorated.
Again, I have to say that this was by far the best B&B experience I have ever had. Maybe it’s the at-​home atmosphere, maybe it’s the beautiful rooms, but I’m pretty sure it’s Maurice and Glen’s true dedication to making your experience the best you’ll ever have!

I had a fun girls’ weekend with my sister in Savannah. We wanted to stay at a B&B, and found this one to have great reviews, a convenient location, and a lower price than a lot of other B&B’s in the area. The house is decorated with antiques, and everything is spotless — no worries about bedbugs, dusty quilts, or dirty bathrooms at this place! Plus, there is coffee/​tea available around the clock, brownies and sherry in the evenings, and a delicious breakfast in the morning. The B&B is located next to Forsyth Park — great for a morning stroll or jog. It is only a mile away from the riverfront, easily accessible from the freeway, and has plentiful street parking. Plus, Maurice and Glen are the friendliest hosts you could hope for. I will definitely stay with them again — you should too!

We stayed recently and enjoyed this B&B — Glenn and Maurice gave us some great local recomendations — Room was very comfortable and the bath was clean and large. Location was super — Walking to the river and all the squares was easy.

We spent two very enjoyable nights in Savannah based at the Park Avenue Manor. interestingly, this was the weekend that the B&B changed hands from Kathy and Murray to Maurice.
Kathy obviously has put a lot of time and energy into decorating the house. She’s got a nice range of art and information on Savannah as well as her own artwork in the house. It will be interesting to see how much stays with the new owners.
Our room was quite comfy with a high, four-​poster bed. We could have used a bit more of a table in the room to sit and write or have an afternoon snack in the room. In the hot summer weather of Savannah, I certainly appreciated the central air-​conditioning.
Breakfast was an interesting experience as all guests were expected to sit down at the table at 8:30am on the dot. it was apparent that Murray liked to hold forth with his guests. We did get to meet the new owner the second morning and I think he’ll be a more open host, taking the time to listen to his guests. We were lucky to be there with two other interesting couples from North Carolina and Virginia. while our politics were somewhat different, we wound up having some lively conversations with the other guests.
As the new owner is new to Savannah, it may take him some time to get up to speed on local recommendations. Our one issue with Murray’s recommendations were they very oriented to the normal tourist features. Sure we wanted to walk down by the water front, but once there we were ready to move along and see what Savannah really had to offer.
