I don’t ever want to say«I should have gone to Subway». The meatball and sausage sub I had at Lena’s made me almost say those horrible words. I ate it because I was pretty damn hungry, but for the price point and wait, next time I will keep driving. Not to Subway, though, they’re still the worst.

These are the best subs around! The sizes are huge, which means you have 2 lunches in one, and you can’t beat the prices. All the ingredients are fresh and always delicious. I have lunch here twice a week and I always try something new. The steak and cheese is one of my favorites, along with the eggplant parm. NEVER going to subway again. Support local small business on your way to work at this family owned restaurant. And the service is always quick and friendly.

The subs and wraps are great! My personal favorite is the chicken caesar salad wrap(with the crispy chicken). The tuna melt, thanksgiving dinner-type wrap, and other subs are all delicious too. Highly recommended!

Excellent! My Aunt and Uncle decided to stop here before visiting and picked up a barrage of subs for all of us at dinner time. Steak and Cheese, Vegatarian, Ham and Cheese, Meatball. All we’re outstanding and the bread was excellent. Soft style french bread. Steak and Cheese with peppers and onions is the best i’ve had around in this area.

Great little sub shop, food is fresh! I highly recommend the Mayflower wrap, it is delish. I love the old school vibe. Stop here before you stop at the Subway next door. Support a great local business!

Meh. If you want 4 meals get the large sub. It will be enough for a family for the same price of other shops. When you get more than what you pay for… obviously something has to give… and its the quality. Bread– meh. Meats(especially the Italian) — almost meh. Really run down. Step up kitchen. You don’t really know what’s going on back there. 50s style… Wachusett brand cheap chips… though local is cool. I only go when I am buying lunches for 4 days to take to the office. saves money… but risking mt health.

This place is a textbook example of Meh! The bread is all wrong — too hard & too dense, a sandwich shop near a city with excellent sandwiches should know better. The meatballs are mostly bread, and they’re smaller than gold balls. WTH? We also had a steak and cheese, again with bad bread but this time iwth no seasoning. I know Saugus is out of the way, but really? Funny thing is it seems to attract a regular clientele. Go figure. All I can say is that I’m not going back. Food should leave you satisfied, this does not. I tried Lena’s on a visit four years ago and came away happy. Although it’s the same people the food definitely is not up to par.

Excellent subs If you like subs and despise Subway like I do hit up Lena’s. for eight bucks I got a large turkey sub, which was actually two subs once they cut it in half. I ate it all day… and it was a wonderful day indeed!
