For two generations (and training a third), The Legacy Paver Group has been designing custom hardscape installations all over the Bay Area. Working closely with architects, developers, builders and homeowners we have installed some of the most spectacular driveways, patios, pool decks walkways and shopping plazas around. You have probably seen (and admired) our installations at places such as Jack London Square in Oakland, downtown Livermore, Bay Plaza in Emeryville, USF main campus in San Francisco, the beautiful driveway and paths at the McDonald Mansion in Santa Rosa and the Red Hill Shopping Center in San Anselmo, to name just a few.

History

Established in 1999.

The Legacy Paver Group was founded in California in 1999 by Nigel Howat. Nigel had spent the previous 20 years installing pavers all over the UK and Germany, most notably replacing thousands upon thousands of square feet of crumbling concrete and asphalt with pavers in East Germany after the reunification in 1990.

Nigel’s daughter, Hayley, joined the company in 2001 and, using her background in design, quickly put LPG on the map as a design resource for homeowners and architects. Now, with Hayley’s keen eye for color and style, in addition to quality installations, we were able to provide beautiful custom designs with custom patterns, multi-​color combinations, inlays, even company logos!

Business Owner

Hayley has a background in Marketing, PR and Design, and has worked for such companies as Apple, Fujitsu, and US Web/​CKS. In 2001 Hayley joined The Legacy Paver Group and eventually became a partner in the business in 2003.

Hayley is responsible for our designs and plays a hands-​on role in all installations, overseeing custom projects to ensure that each and every stone and paver is laid perfectly.
