Bob helped us replace all the carpet in our new house. We had 6 days between getting the keys and moving in. We had to paint and replace all carpet. Bob and his team worked within our schedule and were prompt and efficient. They even cut to size a large piece of the old carpet to lay down in our garage, which has been very nice to have. We were quite happy with the work.

Bob and his whole staff were very helpful and honest from start to finish. Showroom is compact, but well organized and conveniently located.
Bob came to my rental property personally to do the estimate, and after a few minutes in the property explained to me that the floor material I was considering would not install well in the space due to some unevenness in the floor surfaces. Although that was disappointing, I truly appreciated his candor in spite of the fact that it meant a lower priced carpet job instead of the more expensive hard surface floor I wanted.
Installers arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves. The carpet I chose looked great even though it was one of the lower priced options. Murnane also worked with me to be in the same price range as a bid I had from a competitor.

The management and staff were so helpful to us. We were very impressed with the end product on our stairs, landing and master suite. Our home is older with narrow curved stairs and jeremiah did an expert job of getting the pattern exactly right.
The second room did not go so well and was a matter if the quality of carpet than anything else. Bob and staff worked with us to resolve the issue. They dealt directly with the carpet mill, gave us a credit for the inferior carpet, helped us choose a replacement carpet and replaced at no cost to us with a better carpet.
We were very impressed with the professional team and ease in working with Murnane Floors.

Flooring was a key element to renovating a new home purchase for me last year.
I already knew I wanted as natural as possible without sacrificing comfort and Murnane Floors accommodated me quite nicely (wool carpet, linoleum & cork).
Bob is opposite from typical when salesmanship is often a caricature of itself in this world. I always felt at ease whether it be on the phone, at the showroom and after the job was completed. No selling (hard or otherwise), just honest laid back information.
The job itself was on time and done well to my satisfaction. There was one oversight with the omission of cork underlayment that Bob and I both acknowledged and shared in the responsibility.

I’ve gone through Murnane Floors twice in the last 3 years to put carpeting in various areas in my home. They were recommended to me by my handyman and Murnane Floors has done a fine job both times.
From beginning to end, the process was relatively painless. They have a small showroom to look at samples and there is usually one person available to help with options, questions and orders. I chose some samples and Jana gave me the prices and I was able to take home samples to compare with.
The first installation went very smoothly with no issues at all. The leftover carpeting was given to me to use for potential future patch jobs or whatever. With the second installation, I had certain time parameters to fulfill and they were able to help achieve that. Two guys came out to install and were very quick and efficient. Clean up was also proficient. I guess I didn’t look closely enough before they left, but some of the stairway carpeting looked like it was lain cockeyed. Long and short, they had to come back out and redo a portion. Murnane floors did not argue with me about it and quickly arranged for the same guys to come back to correct it. Some of it still looks cockeyed to me but maybe because the pattern of the carpeting kinda plays tricks on my eyes.
I also had an area rug that was cut to size with many dfferent angles for a room. It was cut and bound perfectly. From that area rug piece, it left me with this huge roll of leftover carpeting. I wish I was informed that I would have had that much leftover otherwise I might have choosen different carpeting to save on costs.

After interviewing and getting bids from 6 local companies I decided to go with Murnane Floors. I did my homework and knew exactly what I wanted. They installed floors in our new home — the entire house — and it looks amazing. Bob is professional as is his team. He did what he promised to do when he promised to do it. The job was done perfectly on budget and on time.

I am an interior designer and I rely heavily on my team of outside contractors. I have worked with Bob for many years and he has always been very professional with my clients and the installations are always perfect. His crew are reliable, respectful and keep the area they are working in very clean. If its a 2 or more day job, everything is put away and the homeowner has no mess to deal with at all. Workmanship and timeliness of installation are good. If you do price comparisons, be sure you know exactly what quality/​rating flooring you are getting for the installed price quoted. Murnane carries all levels, from low to high. Wear and stain ratings, and warranty, are critical factors, and should be stated in writing. (Home Depot posts this info prominently, on ALL products sold. Murnane does not.) On an apples-​to-​apples basis, I found better prices elsewhere. Or, more precisely, I found better quality for the same installed price.

Bob Murnane is my go-​to guy for flooring. As a designer, I have found him reliable, very reasonable cost-​wise and pleasant to do business with. Highly recommended!

Bob’s team was very easy to deal with during the renovation of my mom’s new home. They have a good selection of materials in their small Santa Rosa office. I found a teak laminate that really changed my mind about laminates. The team was pleasant and efficient during all stages of the demo and application process. They were flexible and willing to work with the scheduling of painters and other people at the job site, which I really appreciated. They got the job done on time, and at a reasonable cost, which was extremely important to me. The floors look fabulous, and everyone who visits comments on how great they look. I would gladly use them again.

We purchased a home and wanted to put in new carpet into one room. From our first visit to the showroom, we were very pleased. There are endless options and carpets available in every color and price. They did not mind that we were going to be only carpeting a small room with an inexpensive carpet. They gave us service as if we were spending a ton of money. Their prices were extremely reasonable. Installation was done incredibly fast and seems to be great. We are very happy with our carpet and when we choose to carpet the rest of our home, we will be using Murnane.

Murnane Floors is a small company that does big stuff. They’ve done 2 jobs for me, carpet and a stranded bamboo flooring that were excellent. He’s got a skilled crew that is accommodating and will take the extra effort to make sure you’re satisfied. Last, but not least, dealing with the owner gives it a personal feel that you just can’t franchise. Give him a try for any of your flooring needs and you’ll be pleasantly surprised.

I have had Bob do two jobs for me and both were absolutely perfect. Once we installed high quality laminate throughout our home and the job was completed to perfection.
The next time I had renters moving in and needed carpet laid asap. He had product on hand that would do the job, I had it picked out and paid for in less than 20 minutes. He installed it the next day. There was one tiny flaw that my renters pointed out but considering he was cheaper than Costco and had the job done when I needed it, he still gets 5 stars.

Bob and his crews are very knowledgable and met all our expectations. His green flooring options made it easy for us to feel good about the choices we made. We found a Re-​claimed character grade red oak floor that his crew masterfully installed and finished on sight with a 0 voc product. There dustless system really worked and had only light clean up after they left. Thanks again and we love our floors. Feels good to recycle and also know our floor was 100% American made.

This is a great company to do business with. Couldn’t ask for any nicer people. They were super easy to work with… I had no problems switching my install dates when my painters overstayed their project. The guys that did the install were clean and very professional…, on time, no boom box in the background, very polite and no short cuts. Everything turned out perfectly. Excellent job. I highly recommend!
