Established in 1968.

As one of the first Carpet One stores serving the local community, World of Carpet One in Santa Rosa and Carpet One Design Center of Napa have been family owned since 1968. As well as providing an extensive selection of Green Select Label naturally renewable cork, beautiful bamboo, tile, hardwoods and carpet that meet earth-​friendly standards; we make available the best in well known products from the finest flooring manufacturers.

Once I found Kevin at Carpet One the path to choosing the new vinyl flooring for my bathroom remodel became clear. He had a sharp eye for what color and pattern would «pop» when laid next to my color samples, and he was right. Throughout the consultation process Kevin was easy to deal with, and the Carpet One installer did a beautiful job. I could not be happier with the results.

i was reminded to do this overdue review as i continue to contact stephanie at world of carpet one, whenever i need references or help.
We purchased carpet, floor tile and blinds from stephanie for our vacation rental at the beach. She went above and beyond on all aspects of our project from searching down a specific floor tile to driving out to the beach with samples. Everything went flawlessly!
Since we are not from the area, I especially appreciate that I can call Stephanie with questions about tradespeople who do quality work. She is always welcoming and helpful

I want to give many kudos and thanks to Stephanie for her assistance with my project. I wanted to replace the vinyl floor in the kitchen area of my rental in Santa Rosa but I live in Eureka. I made one trip to Santa Rosa to make an initial selection and from there Stehanie took hold of the project like it was her own home. She was so helpful and I trusted her completely. My tenants said the installer was meticulous and the product is amazing! We selected a very durable vinyl plank floor and it completely transformed their living space. I am a very satisfied customer and will definitely call Stephanie for my next flooring project!

The best customer service around! While shopping for some vinyl flooring we had the pleasure of finding Amber who knew more about her products then all of the other stores we had shopped at put together. She made us feel like she wanted our business, was patient and had an answer for every question. We got a great floor for a fair price with beyond excellent customer service. I will be back and would highly recommend you check them out if you’re in the market for flooring or carpet!

I just moved into a rental house and the carpet is not the best feature of the house so I came to World of Carpets to see what I could find to cover up the carpet with something better. JP was super helpful. Not only did he insist that I take samples home to make sure I would be happy with my choice, he also pointed out more affordable options that I would have completely missed. Thank goodness I followed his advice because I would have chosen the wrong one had I not compared the samples at home.
I can’t say enough about how generous he was with his time and totally patient with all of my wandering through options and possibilities. It’s clear that his priority is a satisfied customer vs. «making a sale.» In a world where there are plenty of «salesy» people and places, it’s refreshing to have a great experience where you feel like someone is truly looking out for your best interests like your big brother would.

Recently called her to ask for assistance finding the best local carpet cleaner, and she was totally helpful again. Laura and Carpet One worked really well for us.

Went back to order some blinds for one of my bedrooms. JP let me know exactly how to measure (thought I knew, I didn’t) and showed me all of the different options they had available.
Blinds came in quickly and were in perfect shape. Easy to install and they look fantastic. These Hunter Douglas blinds will last a long time.

Our search for the holy grail ended with Stephanie at World of Carpet one on Santa Rosa ave. All the folks there are helpful and friendly, but Stephanie is like a savant when it comes to knowing her merchandise. — I heard her talking to another customer and immediately asked to work only with her, she is super knowledgable, speedy, returns calls promptly, has a great sense of humour, was not pushy whatsoever, and was considerate of cost /​value. I had avoided that store due to the name (we weren’t looking for carpet) but our designer from Hawaii suggested it. She came to the house, nailed our style quickly and Viola! our bathroom is ready for a magazine. Now we are on the second phase and waiting for the area rugs to be bound. Stephanie is THE BOMB! World of carpet should be re-​named ’ world of all things floor and wall and more’

We bought our carpet in November, so we have had it a few months. World of Carpet matched the bid we got from a big box store, and their customer service was better (we wandered around more than once in the big box store looking for help). The buying experience was fine (thus the one star). But we are not at all happy with our carpet and definitely do not recommend it. After telling the salesperson exactly what we wanted and ordering and taking home many samples, we bought Lee’s «Friendly Influences» carpet. It is terrible. It shows EVERY footprint. (One of the things we specifically asked the salesperson to avoid!) Within hours of vacuuming, it looks dirty. Down the hallway (and everywhere else), the traffic pattern shows lighter than the untrod edges, so the edges look dark and dingy, as if they haven’t been vacuumed in months. Also, the seams are visible! In addition, the edges of the carpet look crushed down and matted (after only a few months!) where the carpet joins the hardwood floors and the tile floors. This carpet was thousands of dollars, a big investment for us. It has a 25-​year warranty, but that would mean substantiating our claims – almost impossible – and then having to move everything out of our many bookcases, our china cabinet, our closets, our computer room… then repeat the entire carpet installation process, then put all our stuff back and secure the large pieces of furniture to the wall again. What a hassle and a headache. Why weren’t we warned about this carpet by the salesperson in the first place? We are really disappointed.

After my previous review posted, I rec’d a handwritten letter from the owner. He assured me that he took my comments seriously and would be addressing customer service with his staff. I have confidence in his statements and would try them again if we have a need for their services. We are very happy with the product, service and price we received from them, and would hope that JP will still be with this company if we have future needs for floor or window coverings. I recommend you give them the opportunity to bid on your job, and seriously consider using this company for residential carpet needs.

My first impression was that I was bothering them the instant I walked in. They weren’t welcoming, sold me something that wasn’t exactly what they led me to believe it would be, were out of something else I needed and told me it would take 6 weeks to get it (even though it comes from Sparks, NV). I went down the street to Conklin Bros. and they had everything and were friendly. If I had known Conklin Bros. was so close, I would have gone there instead.

I just recently purchased a house and I shopped all the flooring stores on Santa Rosa ave and found the best service, the best pricing, and the best selection at world of carpets. Working with Laura was a pleasure! She even helped me pick out paint colors for my new house and window coverings– I couldn’t have done it with out her. I would highly recommend world of carpets. I walked into this store today with my family and ready to purchase carpet for my entire house. I knew what color and type of carpet I wanted and was ready to purchase.
My family and I walked around the store for 15 minutes and not one store employee even said hello or asked if they could help us! I then explained to my children that if we cannot even get a single employee in the store to even acknowledge us during a first visit, the ability to get any service after a purchase would probably be just as bad.
We left immediately and not even one employee looked up from their desk or was concerned about our departure. We drove down the street to a competitor and was immediately greeted by an intelligent and informed salesman and introduced to a nice line of carpeting that which we just love.
