Dr. Davis did two procedures on my wife, Liz. Neither worked. That certainly was not his fault, but there was no follow up call after and when we went to his new office this week we found our selves just sitting there – 30 minutes after our appointment time, we walked out.
His office staff is terrible and he obviously doesn’t give a damn about the patients. We’ll move on to another doctor who has more patient involvement and more concern for running his business like a professional.

Do you have an aching back and find yourself in need of a great orthopedic surgeon with talented hands? I did. Dr. Hyun Bae took care of my bulging disc at L3. I had back surgery 13 years ago with another surgeon and this is a walk in the park compared to that one.
Would you like a surgeon that doesn’t sharpen his knives when you walk in? One that believes in minimally invasive surgery? One that has a sense of humor and is empathetic?
You may have to wait past your appointment time but Dr. Hyun Bae of the spine Institute will give you his undivided attention during your visit.
Dr. Bae has offices on Wilshire Boulevard in Santa Monica and on San Vicente near Cedars-​Sinai Hospital.

Dr. Davis is a really nice guy but I have no confidence in his ability to perform injections. I went to see Dr. Davis for lower back pain and after the procedure I was in more pain than before. He also recommended I see Dr Bae for surgery consultation after the failed injections. He failed to mention Dr. Bae was not in my network and he charged me a small fortune to tell me that he could do surgery on me. Also I found Dr. Davis through my insurance carrier website… at the time Aetna and the Doctor failed to mention that he recently dropped off the Network. After a year fighting with Aetna and Dr Davis sending me bills adding interest… we finally agreed to a payment plan. Dr Davis was a very nice person but that doesn’t make up for the poor results from the procedure/​injections and his office staffs lack of care when it comes to explaining benefits. After my visit I experienced more physical pain from the procedure emotional pain from fighting over insurance coverage and lastly financial pain of paying for a really awful experience that I am still paying off.

Worst experience ever. Was sent here to see Dr Davis with severe back pain and was sent home with no relief. After being seen 3 time in a period of a month i was finally told that i would be prescribed flexiril (muscle relaxer) and be given an injection for pain, i was told an appointment would be scheduled for me. I followed up to assure my appointment was set and was told patients are called when ready. After almost 2months they followed up with me stating if i was feeling better and if i want to follow up i explained my situation. The receptionist told me some patients fall through the cracks really what a slap in the face i went to this facility for care and charged $ 3000 for pain i took care of myself with pain relievers. No explanation on my x-​ray results.

Dr. Bae did a two-​level cervical fusion on my neck in December 2012. After nearly 3 years of constant pain and lack of mobility, I’m finally experiencing freedom from all of that! I’m so grateful I made the choice to have the surgery (I am in my 30s, so it was difficult to commit and accept that this needed to happen). Dr. Bae NEVER pushed me toward surgery; he simply gave me options and let me try different methods of coping/​healing. Nothing worked. Today I feel stronger and healthier than I have in years, and that’s thanks to Dr. Bae and his team, including his incredible PA, Lisa Cano. Turns out the fear of surgery was much worse than the actual surgery itself, which went off without a hitch. 5 stars!

Dr. Bae did surgery on my neck. Great doctor! Never been better!
