A Fat Guy and Bald Guy Computer Services

Needed to repair my HP touch which is a zillion years old. It’s a work computer so lots of files and all, so it’s important for me to have it operational. I don’t even do anything frisky on it, so I assume it was just due to ware and tare.
I heard from a friend about this place and even though it’s a bit far from my office in Sherman Oaks, it was worth the effort. I spoke to a guy named Vladamir or Vadeem… not sure the name so I’m sorry if I’m butchering it man! He was very helpful and awesome! Knows a lot about this gadget stuff and professional with his customer service. He even followed up a few days later to see if it was operating properly. I’m a zero with internal computer knowledge, but he was able to get this puppy up and running after doing something high tech with the mother board or whatever.
All in all, I am satisfied with my service and most importantly my machine is running relatively smoothly.

Did work twice now on my wife’s laptop, fair prices and very knowledgeable a technician.
Will continue to use them when I need computer work.

I have used these guys several times over the years and I’m sorry it has taken me this long to write a review. There is just no sense going anywhere else for your computer needs. I have had them install new computers and equipment, repair a computer, install a new hard drive, and help with data recovery. And every time they have been courteous, professional, quick to get here, and extremely reasonably priced. In fact, I have been surprised at how reasonable their prices are. Don’t tell them, but I have been prepared to pay much more for the services rendered. I wish I could think of the names of people I’ve worked with before, but my latest encounter with Vladimir was as pleasant and professional as it could be. Even the phone receptionist, Susan, was top notch. I hope not too soon, but I’ll be back.

Picked up my old Mac Pro after these guys had worked on it. Like a new computer, they saved my old data, updated the operating systems, and replaced the hard drive. Did not ask for fee up front to see what was wrong. Final repair cost was so reasonable that I have no excuse to buy a new apple for Christmas or I can’t convince the missus that I need a new apple now. Would recommend the service. They have an office in Palmdale CA too.

I can’t review on their ability to repair because they would not even entertain the idea of repairing. Not very professional (female who answered), so I would steer clear.

Fat guy bald guy are very professional very honest and very quick. I recommend them highly. Needed laptop fixed before my daughters birthday which was in 3 days. They fixed it in two. Don’t give your money to GEEKS give it to Fat guy Bald guy. Oh and the Rodney H dude is a tool. Lol.

They repair my son’s HP laptop and the workmanship is Excellent, Technician and staff are courteous, Very Honest People, Price and labor is very reasonable, Simply the best!!!, Thank you Guys my son is very Happy because you were able to restore all hos programs

Had issues with my Asus all-​in-​one, the motherboard went out, despite that they got all my pictures off onto a portable hard drive for a decent price!
They couldn’t do the repair, but I had it done else where. (FYI: don’t ever buy an Asus all-​in-​one) They were so friendly, nice and fast, I will be going back because my computer just crashed again.

Knew I was in trouble when my HD crashed, and the answer I kept getting was $ 1000-​$ 1500 for a «clean room» data recovery. Found these guys. Saved 100% of my data and it cost $ 700. Can’t say anything more than that… oh…and that they were 100% professional and courteous and super friendly… without being creepy about it. Genuine. That’s very rare to find. I live in LA, but lemme tell ya, it’s worth the drive… plus, there’s a Rita’s Italian Ice store around the corner. Sure, I felt depressed I was out almost a grand, but I was smiling about it… in a weird way. Not creepy-​weird, though.

Can I give them 6 stars? Outstanding service, fair pricing, great communication. They gave me a free evaluation of a aging computer that quite frankly, I didn’t have high hopes on. The computer actually didn’t require a major repair, and their fees & parts were surprisingly reasonable and affordable. In a period of «just get a new one» when discussing computers, they give hope to saving your hard-​earned cash instead! Thanks, thanks, and thanks again… I will definitely tell one and all that the Bestbuy «Geeks» are not up to par in comparison!

My laptop died last week and I hopelessly took it to these guys because it’s old (and not exactly an expensive one) but it’s a bad time for me to replace it right now. They diagnosed it for FREE and their diagnosis fixed my computer. They gave me the option to pick it up and it completely works at NO Charge or I could order the part to make it potentially run faster. I am holding off on purchasing the additional part and trying to see how it works without it. So far, so good. They were so quick, friendly, honest and had a great attitude about the whole thing. I will be back for any of my computer needs for sure. Highly recommend them.

These guys are awesome!!! I use them for both home and business. They go above and beyond what’s required and don’t always charge. Customer service is outstanding both in the field and in the office. There’s a reason they are so busy. Great service and great pricing. Will alway be my #1 choice.

I was having problems with my small laptop running slow and met with the owner to request the installation of additional memory. He explained that although he would be happy to make some extra money, it was not necessary for me to spend money on more memory because it really wasn’t needed. He actually gave me free advice on how to solve a problem on my own without buying more memory, and I went on my way.
For a small business person to spend the time to explain how to improve the performance of my laptop without charging me any money is amazing.
Thank you for taking the time to help me and I will certainly recommend you in the future and bring you any of my own business as needed. I doubt I would ever get this type of service from Office Depot or any big business. I think it’s important that we all support small business especially here in Santa Clarita and if you need computer repair this is the place to come

After my laptop hard dive crashed, and I was in desperate need of repair, checked the Unilocal reviews and made the quick trip over.
The hard drive was repaired fairly quickly, they installed Windows and I paid the additional to have the information off my old drive transferred over.
Other than the permanent message in the bottom corner stating «This copy of Windows is not genuine», getting a pop-​up 2−3x an hour stating «You may be a victim of software counterfeiting» and it operating at half-​speed, I’m really happy.

The customer service here is superb! Susan did an amazing job keeping me updated on the repairs that were being done to my computer, and was so friendly and attentive whenever we interacted, either via phone or in person.
I took my laptop here because I broke the jack that connects the power adapter to my laptop, and not only did they repair the initial damage but fixed other minor problems with my laptop as well at no additional charge. I had a sticky keyboard problem which I didn’t report to them because it wasn’t too big of a deal, and they fixed that and cleaned out all the dust in my laptop as well! I’m unfortunately taking off one star because in my opinion, the service performed on my laptop was just slightly overpriced… but because of the job well done and the outstanding customer service, I’ll be back in the future if I ever need additional repairs on my electronics.

I went in today, having gone to a million hardware stores, in search of a particular screw that fell off the casing of my laptop. There was a young, pretty lady in the store and she found the screw I was looking for! in seconds! and she gave it to me for free!
I haven’t had these guys fix anything of mine yet (which is the only reason I can’t give it 5 stars!), but this will be the first place I go to when I’m in need of a computer fix! Thanks so much for the friendly help!

Had a scheduled PC Setup today. Matt came promptly, stayed longer answering all our questions and we had many. I was stressing out having to learn Windows 8, as most all new computers come with 8. When I told Matt this, he made it look just like Windows 7 for me!!! And I have access to Windows 8 when I feel like learning.
SOOOOO appreciative… we even gave him our old computer to take and clean out. He’ll be back to set that one up in another room. HAPPY DANCE!!!

I recently had these guys recover the data on my external hard drive and they did and amazing job.
I had a 1TB external hard drive that had tons of data on it. It had pictures, videos, movies, music, and other files on it that were very important to me. Well one day my Fiancé’s evil cats knocked it on the ground and broke it. I was devastated, I thought I had lost years of pictures and videos I had taken, all my music, and all my movies. I wanted to cry.
I knew about data recovery but I didn’t know how much it would cost so I called around to other data recovery places and they all quoted me at anywhere from $ 1500 — $ 2500 to recover my hard drive. At this point I thought all hope was lost, I knew there was no way I would ever be able to afford that much money just to restore my hard drive and that all of my data was gone forever, until I found out about these guys.
One day while I was at work, a sales rep for Fat Guy & Bald Guy came in and was talking about their company. At this time my hard drive had been sitting around for almost a year collecting dust and I had completely forgotten about it until the sales rep mentioned their data recovery services. I didn’t want to ask how much it was since I know how expensive it could be and I didn’t want to get discouraged again but I decided to ask anyway. When I asked he told me to call in and they would be able to tell me a price.
So right after the sales rep left I called in and I talked to Richard (The Fat Guy). I told him my situation and told him that I didn’t have a lot of money and he said he would be able to help me. He told me that he could restore my hard drive for only $ 600. When he told me that I was ecstatic because compared to other places that is a steal. I told him I wanted to do it but I didn’t have the money, he asked me what I could pay and I told him I could only do it if I could have a payment plan. He said that wouldn’t be a problem and we worked out a deal.
One thing that I really like about Richard is that he is an honest business man. He didn’t make me sign a contract, or run my credit, or take down any of my info really, he simply told me that he is trusting me man to man to pay him and if I didn’t he wouldn’t go after me for the money in any way. He said that if I pay him and be honest with him then I have a friend and business partner for life, but if I don’t pay him then we aren’t friends anymore and that’s it. In my opinion this is how businesses should be run. It showed me his integrity as a man and a friend.
Anyway, after I got off of the phone with the Fat guy I came in and met Joel and dropped my hard drive off with him. He was very nice and helpful and let me know everything that was going to be done and it was done only a couple of days later. All of my data was perfectly restored and put on a brand new external hard drive.
I highly recommend these guys for any type of computer work. They are very nice and honest people and I will forever be a customer.
