It’s a Geek

Randy is a fair and honest guy. He was not able to repair my computer in-​house but told me what needed to get done.

I came to them with my Lenovo laptop that had a cracked back cover so I could hardly open or close it without damaging the computer further. Right away they got me all set up and said they’d order the parts in and get it fixed up. But once the parts came in and they got it put together they found out that there was a lot more internal damage than previously thought. Randy was excellent, he gave me a few options and was very honest and said that my best option would be to get a new laptop completely because the more we repaired this laptop the worse it was going to work over time. And he said that they would purchase that Lenovo from me, it wouldn’t be worth a lot but at least I’d get some money towards a new computer. So I went with that option and got $ 125 for that laptop AND when I asked if I’d have to pay anything for the work already done and labor he said that it was on them and I didn’t have to worry about it, but I owe him with a glowing Unilocal review, so here I am! Also on top of all of that Randy moved all of my stuff from my old computer to a hard drive so I didn’t lose any work or documents which I have since transferred to my new laptop. If I ever have any other computer issues I’ll be coming back here, this is the best customer service I have ever experienced anywhere. If you have any computer problems come here!

Here to pile on the 5 star reviews. Greatly appreciative of the job Randy did to bring my macbook pro back to life. Even went the extra mile as to obtain a new power cord, and did so while remaining under the agreed upon price to fix the computer. Thanks again Randy.

I have a home-​built behemoth. 32 gb ram, dual 3tb raid hd’s. 3^rd 3tb for os, etc.,
latest, fastest intel cpu, etc. Motherboard went south. Since I built it about 2 yrs ago, bad back trouble. Can no longer grovel in homage to the beast. Enter Randy. Fixed-=er-rite-up. Including new mb, de-​raiding (at my request) and recovering almost 3 tb of lost data. Including delivery and set-​up. Great guy. Very competent and reliable. I would recommend him without reservations.

Randy is great! It’s like he’s my own personal IT-​Guy. He knows what he’s doing & can usually fix things remotely. Even if he does work in-​home, he’s quick & his prices are very fair. I wouldn’t think of calling anybody else!

Our main drive died so we thought no problem we have a backup. Then the backup died which left us with nothing. Randy was able to recover the irreplaceable files and save us. Great service, very honest. We couldn’t ask for anything more.

I needed to get some files off some old 3.5″ floppy disks and Randy came through at a very reasonable price. Another competitor wanted to charge me 5x the amount that I paid «It’s a Geek.» I’m definitely pleased with the service I received from this company.

My hard drive on my MAC crashed again! Ouch! First time I took it to Best Buy. They recovered my files but I had to go back a few times so they could link them to my programs. Decided to try Randy @ It’s a Geek which was a great experience. Randy is personable, responsive, talented and looked for ways to help me reduce my costs. When my wife logged on the first time and couldn’t find her 37,000 pictures in iPhoto, she called Randy, he remotely connected into our machine and resolved it quickly. Thanks Randy!

I called Randy and explained what my laptop issue was. He was able to work on it the next day. When I brought it in, he knew immediately what the issue was. He fixed it very quickly, and updated some programs that needed updates.
Very nice guy, and I will bring my computers to him for now on.

Randy is spectacular!
From recovering lost files on a crashed hard drive to fixing, in 5 minutes, a problem that Dell wanted to repair with a complete system reinstall to letting me down gently that the video on a corrupted memory card was gone forever.
Randy is competent and capable but more importantly he’s approachable. If tech isn’t your thing he can explain the problem AND the solution in a way that makes sense.
He’s my nearly always on-​call IT guy.

Randy is my dude! I was having some issues with my wireless network at my body shop. He came by took care of a couple of issues, gave me some advice, and didn’t even charge me a single cent! This guy is awesome!

After Randy at Its A Geek, had told me over and over to back up my computer… I did not. When the hard drive crashed he was there same day to take it to try to recover the data! Randy at It’s a Geek is the best! I call him for all my IT needs. He knows all about all of it, especially POS (point of sale)!
Any business owners that don’t have their own IT department, or personnel, need to call him. You will save a lot more than hiring someone full time and it will be done right the first time.

I really want to give them 4.75 stars (0.25 stars off because their van needs to be replaced), but the guy that helped me was super smart and very patient with me. I know a fair amount about compooters, but this guy fixed my computer so fast he was done before I realized he had started. I’ve called them a bunch since that first time and I’ve recommended It’s a Geek to my friends.

Randy is quick and knows so much about PCs, as well as Apple products. He works hard to get the job done and does it right!
