Founded in 1990 by Gene Cooper out of his passion for tinkering with computer equipment, The Computer Chip has operated to this day without interruption by its founder. In those early days, Microsoft Windows 3.0 was very new to the market, the 386 was the hot machine to have, the internet was in its infancy, MCI mail was the closest thing to e-​mail, and black only laser printers approached $ 2,000. While we of course have seen gigantic leaps in technology since then, one thing that has not changed is Gene’s commitment to his community of clients in providing the best in efficient service and quality products.
