Fernando is seriously amazing!!! The motor in my wife’s Charger blew with under 80,000 miles on it. We brought it in to the shop and Fernando was so easy to work with. He was very honest, and upfront about what parts were needed and what everything would cost. I did a lot of research online to see how his prices matched up to what I could find, and he by far had the better deal. He went above and beyond with the whole job. He still checks up on the car, and now our whole family goes to him. 5 stars all day!!!

Fernando has been working on my car for about 1 year and Always did a great job and at the price he told me.
I am disable a d when I have to take my car in for repair I have to wsit for Outreach I have always waited in a safe and warm enviremont.
I had a stroke in 4 – 2008 and wake with a can. Icame out of the hospital in a wheel chair, to I can walk with a can and drive my car.

Fernando answered my call and was very responsive. Service was excellent and quick turn around for the amount of work I initially intended (synthetic oil change). I mentioned that I just purchased the used car and they did a complimentary diagnoses on my car. I found out two lugnuts in front tires were missing! In Addition to the oil leek, broken dip stick and the recent break pad change wiring that was not wired correctly… Really appreciated them looking into it. Now I can go back to the private dealer and get additional deductions… Overall pricing was decent for synthetic oil change and lugnuts change and it all took under 2hr… Unheard of given the cost near valley fair for a synthetic oil change was quoted at $ 80 and 1 hr timeframe. This place was $ 69 for 30 minutes!!! I’d recommend calling before noon.

Work was done promptly while I waited. Owner was pleasant to deal with. I will go there again when I need repairs on one of my cars.

Fernando is very friendly, trustworthy and professional. The service was fast and efficient. I went in for an oil change and to get my brake pads replaced and ended up needing my rear rotors replaced as well. This is not cheap! Fernando was so kind to give me a great discount and made sure the work was done quickly as I needed my car back asap. He showed me what a new brake pad looks like as opposed to what I was driving so that I could see how worn down they were. The service also has a one year warranty so if I have any problems I can bring the car in. Overall a great experience and I felt Fernando was very knowledgeable as well as honest. Most mechanics try to up charge, especially women because they assume we don’t know anything about cars. I did my research and made sure I was getting a fair price! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

I brought my RV in for a safety inspection to the owner Fernando, on July 30, 2015 because I was going to take it on two trips soon. He agreed to inspect the vehicle and brakes for $ 50. After doing so the only thing he recommended was a front brake job since the brakes pads were at 15% and an oil change. He agreed to apply the inspection fee to the work and charged $ 350 to «Perform Front Brake Service, INCLUDING Installing New Premium Front Brake Pads» and $ 50 for an oil change.
A couple of weeks after Preferred worked on the brakes of my RV. I was on the way to Monterey today when I started smelling the brakes overheating as I was driving. A short time later the brakes would pull to the left when I hit them, and the front end felt a bit jerky. I also started to notice some brake fade. I pulled over in Morgan Hill and checked under the car. Both the front brake were radiating a lot of heat, even 6 inches away. I got in and noticed the brake pedal went all the way to the floor. After the brakes cooled off for about a ½ hour I could get enough pressure in the brakes to carefully drive it home.
Since I could not use the RV for the trip, I needed to get up at 4 am tomorrow to drive down to Monterey in my car since I have a job there from Friday through Sunday.
After this trip, I dropped off the RV for three days, at the end of which he was able to duplicate the problem. When I asked if Fernando if he turned the rotors or bled the brakes, he admitted all he did for $ 350 was change the pads.
At this point, he pointed out that the rotors were warped (which they were not before he worked on it, or he would have replaced them instead of just changing the pads. He gave me a quote for $ 2000 to fix the front brakes and change the master cylinder (which is working fine).
Since he miss-​represented what he charged me for on the front brakes I brought the RV to Mission Valley Ford for an inspection since I had my next trip coming up soon. The Service Advisor for Mission Valley Ford agreed to inspect the brakes to determine what was causing the problem. The service manager called me the next day and stated that the brake pads were installed incorrectly, which caused the severe dragging and the rotor and caliper damage. He also said that the original inspection missed problems with the rear brake cylinders which could have caused them to fail.
In addition to the $ 2300 incurred by Preferred’s poor workmanship, I spent hours getting the brakes fixed correctly, and I had to cancel one trip. And their work could have resulted in an accident which may have led to a car crash, and worse yet bodily harm had I not canceled by trip and turned around.

My regular mechanic had moved out of state and so was looking for a new place to do my 90K timing belt etc service. Found this place based on reviews here and the positive consensus is spot on. The place is clean, work was done on time and, most importantly, Fernando was a pleasure to deal with. He was thorough in his explanations, candid on what work was (and not) needed on the car and generally seems like a really nice guy. Overall, I feel very comfortable dropping the car off here knowing that the assessment & quality of work will be accurate and honest.

I am so thankful for this shop. I bought a car yesterday, and of course the oil pressure light went off. I dropped the car off overnight and they looked at it first thing in the morning. Fernando called as soon as they finished the inspection and gave me a completely honest suggestion to return the car. The next time I’m thinking about buying a car, I’m taking it straight to preferred auto for an initial inspection. And if I decide to purchase, I would take it there for any repairs, oil changes, and check ups!

Came for oil change. Very quick, in and out under 25mins. Great customer service, very friendly workers. They even have a cute waiting area to hang out.

Off too 5 stars!!! This has been the greatest serviced shop I have experienced… i was a little nervous because i have had many bad experiences with auto places, but this place gave me hope again. Just got the new truck 2 months ago and burned through 15,000 miles. My brakes went bad and chevy wanted to charge me an arm and a leg for just brake pads. I brought my truck here and Fernando took care of me. I got the brakes and rotors for less than what the dealer wanted to charge me for just the brakes. Dealer also said I needed a bunch of other crap that they will not cover under warranty. I will definitely bring my truck back for any further maintenance and repairs. They come highly recommended in my book

I worked directly with Fernando in late 2014 Mr. Fernando recommended replacing a part that was causing the vehicle to over heating. When that was done, Mr. Fernando recommended changing the transmission fluids in my vehicle. After I received my car back one day later, it was overheating again. It turns out the car has a bad motor. Unforturenetley neither I or Mr. Fernando caught it-​in-​time.

I found Fernando while having my car smogged by Jonathan (nextdoor). He seemed
very knowledgeable and not at all overbearing as many mechanics can be. Took my Moms car there for brakes and he completed the job the same day and then showed me the worn out rotors and pads that had been replaced. He explained everything very clearly and with patience. This will be my go to mechanic forward from here.
