History

Established in 1959.

Family owned and operated since inception. Originally opened by Don Lombardi Sr. as Lombardi Shell providing gas and full auto repair service. In 1989, Lombardi Shell became Lombardi Auto Service and strictly became an auto repair service shop. The shop has thrived for over 50 years solely on two fundamentals: low overhead and honest service. Over the years, 100% of customer relationships generated have been by word of mouth. Not a single penny has been spent on advertising with the philosophy that paid advertising isn’t needed when you offer honest and personalized service at a fair price by keeping expenses low and not passing them on to the customer.

Owner, Shop Manager, and Mechanic Don Lombardi Jr. has over 40 years of auto repair experience. Don oversees and works on each job that comes into the shop and personally cares about his customers and knows it is honest customer care that keeps people coming back and has since 1959.

Took my car in to get checked out after the «check emission systems» light came on my car and Don took a look and diagnosed my car. He was very professional and knowledgable. Although he couldn’t help me out this time with my car being that it was a computer problem, he was honest and didn’t try to pull a fast one one me. You better believe I’ll be coming back for any auto problems! So glad I went off Unilocal reviews because they were all legit. Go Unilocal and go Don! I went to several places for a clutch problem, everybody was saying 500,-800. For a complete clutch kit installed. Don looked it over and I was told it was only fluid. He added fluid at no charge!!! Again driving with ease. Thanks Don!

I brought my car in for a tuneup and oil change last week and was very impressed with how quick the service was and how honest the owner is. I asked if there was anything else that needed to be replaced or looked at (anyone looking to take advantage of a woman not knowing anything about cars would have taken the chance to charge an arm and a leg) and he said «nope everything else looks fine». I will definitely be bringing my business here going forward!

Don is the best. He is honest and very knowledgable. Don is also great at explaining what work needs to be done and why, and never recommends work that is unnecessary. I can’t believe I have lived near here for so long and have never come here. I had a great experience. Don is a very approachable but straightforward guy. He’s like the friendly and trustworthy neighborhood mechanic everyone dreams to have. He explained everything he would do to my car and didn’t object when I wanted to cancel my oil change after I found out how much my service would be. He was, however, extremely helpful in notifying me that I definitely needed my oil changed ASAP, which I don’t doubt, because I have been a bad car owner and had neglected to do so. :c My brakes are great, by the way. I dropped my 1983 jeep off late Sunday night and got a call first thing Monday morning. I had some steering issues and a few leaks, along with a parking brake that did not work. I was told it might take a few days, maybe up to a week to get the parts. I was more than pleased when I got a call Tuesday afternoon saying everything was fixed. Fair price, excellent service. I will be back for any auto issues.

Highly recommended!
I needed to replace/​check brakes as it started making annoying squealing noise, I tried Firestones but got ripped off, they charged me over $ 200 and they failed to help me get rid of noise, I was kinda of desperate, until I found Don’s workshop. I did not make an appointment but after only few mins of my arrival, Don started working on my car and explained why I need to replace drums and front pads, quick, it really only took about half an hour. Will highly consider this place again when I need some repairs done on my car.

I was due for an oil change, and trusting Unilocal,Lombardi had great reviews & it was around the corner.
Over the phone he gave me an exact quote with the vehicle information I provided him with, and the price didn’t change after his service, which is rare & awesome! This is also the first place that didn’t bother to tell me ten things were wrong with my car. Instead, Don gave me recommendations that I should take into consideration soon, which I greatly appreciated.
He checked all my fluid levels and put air in my tires. The whole process took 25 minutes. Very professional & to the point — how all automotive repair shops should be.

I drove by and noticed that they were working on a couple of cars. I asked them if they could do a quick oil change and they pulled my car in and I was done in 20 minutes! They were extremely nice and professional. Usually I hesitate to leave an outright 5-​star review but there was really nothing negative about my experience. Highly recommended.

I needed an oil change, quick. It was near closing time, and Don was cool to do an oil-​change on my car, which really only took about half an hour. He also checked my fluid levels and tire pressure. He noticed that the front tires were way above normal and brought them down. Will highly consider this place again when I need some repairs done on my car.

Took my 2006 civic for an oil change and was finished in about 30 mins! The oil change cost 45 bucks and from what I understand that is pretty standard. Don also checked all other fluid levels and noticed that my brakes were squeaking and checked those for me too! I was very satisfied with the service. I think I may have found my go to auto service!

If there were a way to give more than 5 stars I would gladly do it for Don Lombardi.
Mr. Lombardi is the most exceptional auto repair mechanic I have ever dealt with. He is honest and fair and always does a top notch job on our two minivans. He is also very flexible and willing to work around your schedule if he can manage it. I’ve been going to him for several years and have never been made to wait for service. I always call ahead and he just tells me to bring the vehicle in and he’ll get started. Service is almost always completed the very same day and he calls immediately when it’s done. He’s even done a couple of quick fixes on our vehicles for minor problems for which he didn’t even charge us. His service is friendly and personable, and (this is a big factor with me) he doesn’t make me feel stupid for not understanding anything about auto mechanics. He puts things in the simplest language and treats all customers with respect.
I hope he never retires, because if did I would never find another diamond in the rough like Mr. Lombardi.

I am not sure what I would do without Don. We have been taking our cars to him for a few years after a recommendation from a friend who has used them since 1998. I can give no higher review then to say I would be _​lost_​without him.
Don is always available and happy to assist, if you have an issue with your car he will give you direct and valuable information.
I recently had one of my cars run into and Don was happy to look/​drive the car and tell me everything was fine. I needed new tires so Don made a call and for $ 100 more then I normally pay to replace just my tires I had new rims and tires.
Just an all around good guy.
