I called for proof of insurance after my car was towed, and they were extremely helpful — faxed a copy of registration the the police in minutes and sent a copy to me over email. Also followed up some time later. Overall great service

Jon and his staff are exactly what an insurance agent should be — friendly, helpful, and prompt! When I needed some paperwork for a mortgage refi, they got me the document I needed within minutes of my calling them. Now that’s what I call customer service.

Jon gave me great life insurance guidance for me and my family. He was very clear and helpful. He explained to me the importance of getting life insurance set up as early as possible to keep our rates low for the term of the policy. He explained the ins and outs of medical underwriting as well so that I understood how the rates are based. Life insurance planning has been a great and essential help to us in getting set up. He and his team are outstanding.

Jon and his crew do an excellent job of responding to emails and getting my requests done accurately. They genuinely care about their clients and want them to be protected from unexpected events. I wouldn’t have my policies with any other State Farm agent in town!

I bought my business insurance and workers comp insurance with Jon. His team is very fast and knowledgeable.

Highly recommend Jon! He is the best agent I know. After reloaded to Bay Area, I called several agents looking for help with the policy transfer process. All of them didn’t want to help, except Jon. Though it was a non commission case, he was trying very hard to help. How can I don’t trust such a nice agent? I will be referring any of my friends to him when they need.

After my auto accident I turned to Jon and State Farm for help, I regret ever walking into that office. Jon was ineffective and clearly the wrong person to turn to in time of need, a peculiar trait for a person who should have experience in that field.
Anyone can go over a policy and sell you something, I’m sure he’s quite charming and good at that. But when you file a claim, and you need honest help, Jon is the last one to lift a finger.
Jon took a whole day to tell me he didn’t have an answer. He made excuses that were totally inappropriate and made it clear he had more important things to do than answer me. He made no effort to work with me outside of business hours despite a sign on the door to the contrary. Jon provided no guidance or help while I spent a month navigating State Farms claims process for the first time. I had the misfortune of getting answers that were wrong, inaccurate, misleading, and outright lies from both his office and the claims department that was undergoing a transition, and being educated on a new system. One week my car was being fixed, next week a new estimate, next week totaled, I was being jerked around, and Jon made no effort to really do anything at all.
My car was old, and the damage exceeded the limit to be fixed. The most egregious thing Jon did in the end was to not inform me that by releasing my car, my car insurance ended. A fact I knew, but was disappointed that at the final moment an insurance agent couldn’t even be bothered to try and sell me insurance.
Please find another agent who will value you as a customer before you learn the hard way that Jon just isn’t there.

Jon Barron took the time to find out what my errors and omissions business insurance needs are, asking questions to make sure the coverage is correct for my type of business. I feel much better knowing that my business is covered and Jon is there to help.

I would like to highly recommend the assertive and high quality work of Jonathan Barron. He and his peers at his agency are all true professionals. Not just will I be only handling all of my auto, home and life insurance with him, but I will also recommend him to anyone I know. I am definitely impressed with his services and overall excellence!

I recently signed up for a life insurance policy with Jon Barron State Farm. They were very courteous, even offering me a bottle of water. They carefully explained to me how life insurance works, which was something I did not understand before. They worked with me to find a plan that was best to suit my needs. They also helped me during the underwriting process, explaining the standard exam I would have to go through. I never like to deal with medical exams but they helped put me at ease. Before this I did not have a life insurance plan, and I am thankful now that I do. They helped me realize how it important it was to get a plan, and I am very satisfied with the plan that I signed up for.

We recently switched to State Farm for our home and auto insurance needs and selected Jon as he is conveniently located. He and his associate made converting our policies easy and helped us increase our coverage while keeping our premiums slightly below our previous policy. Couldn’t be happier.

have had an absolutely great experience since I’ve been insured with this agent. Their staff is always available when I have questions. They have a lot of flexibility with billing and payment options. I also really like the fact that they are available on Saturdays, because I work during the week. They also do regular insurance reviews. When I sat down with the agent I found out this meeting was very useful and helpful. Everyone in their office is friendly and outgoing, they get back to me on time, this is a great place to do business. I would recommend them to anyone. Plus they speak Spanish. No question I rate them 5 stars, if there were 10 stars I’d rate them 10.

My experience is very much the same as what Josh P. wrote.
I had State Farm insurance ever since I started driving 14 years ago. I had the most amazing agent back in Colorado (Sharon Younie). She actively worked to ensure I had the best deal on my insurance, while maintaining the level of coverage that was right for me. My wife and I recently moved to California and had to switch agents.
I emailed Mr. Barron’s office while in the hectic process of moving to get the policy transferred out from Colorado to California. I assumed this would be a straight forward, simple process with a minor policy price increase due to moving to a bigger city. This was not the case. The process took almost 3 weeks from my first inquiry email to when I finally had the policy paid for.
When I finally settled down and took a look at the coverage, multiple different line items were different… the coverage was not copied over from what I had in Colorado, and the deductibles were all messed up. Not to mention my wife had a small no fault fender bender a year ago that the agent’s assistant kept insisting that my wife was at fault for. Once I got them to fix the policy, the final cost was nearly double what I was paying in Colorado.
I later complained to my Colorado agent while I was transferring over a jewelry policy which I believe tipped off Mr. Barron’s office that I was upset. They called me and wanted to schedule a sit down to discuss my policy and see if we could improve my rate. I appreciate the opportunity, but they insisted that both me and my wife come into the office so they could «get to know us better». We are busy people and don’t have time to come in on a Saturday or afternoon just to negotiate a better insurance policy.
Today I shopped around and found a comparable policy with another company for literally $ 300 cheaper… almost 40% lower than what I was paying.
I have no doubt that State Farm would have matched my new policy’s rate, but I don’t appreciate that I have to first complain to stop getting gouged.
That being said, I’m still keeping my Jewelry and Rental policy with State Farm for the time being since those prices are actually quite reasonable.

What a terrible agent, I have been with State Farm for 10 years, recently moved and had to change state policy’s. John and his agents stated «we don’t do many state policy changes». And that this was a difficult situation. He couldn’t get my bill straight, tried to over charge me, didn’t refund my credit from my previous plan. Just a terrible experience. I would recommend anyone and everyone to stay as far away from this agent as possible.
